#2003 took off with on a dashing note as we all guys of ‘E-Mids’ (E-Hostel Middle Floor of REC Calicut) went out for a buffet dinner at a restaurant called Asma Towers in Calicut. We returned at around 11:30pm on 31st night and kicked-started a party in hostel accompanied with drinks ;)
#Five of us took off on a long trip covering Kerala and Kanyakumari in Feb. It was a truly amazing trip spanning Trivandrum, Kanyakumari, Kovalam, Kollam, Allepy and Cochin. We went on an 8-hour cruise drive from Kollam to Allepy along the backwaters. Managed to fill up three full albums with photographs.
#There was a tussle between some boys of my college and some from the Law College
in Calicut. The Law college students began stopping the REC buses and misbehaving with the staff. Finally the city police commissioner took action against them and things cooled down.
#Two of us went on a trip to Rameshwaram and Madurai in March. That too was an amazing trip. Took some fundu photographs at Rameshwaram.
#I bought a new mobile with my final year scholarship money in March.
#March also saw some horrible incidents in college during Holi. Some second year boys harassed a final year gal. This lead to a huge gang-war involving 200 boys with hockey sticks, chains, iron rods and stones. At the end of the ‘black-holi’ there were around 15 hospitalized. Police was deployed around the hostels for three days to ensure peace. You can read more about this in Golu’s blog.
#Had our farewell at the TAJ Residency Calicut...:D
#We had the final year procession on April 11th, the last working day. We had a music band coming down to our college and all the final year students danced and jumped round the campus.
#There was mass DP(daaru party + doping) in the F- hostel. I was in the rescue-team trying to get people back to their rooms after they were unconscious…hehehehhe…
#We finally left college on May 12th. There was a lot of crying and senti-pana in the hostels. We had a small DP in the rooms out of ghum + khushee. :P
#Came back home. Had a tough time getting ‘adjusted’ to home. No friends around and so was getting bugged.
#Went on a four-day trip to Goa in June. Had a fun time there.
#Started work on 23rd June at my company. Had a lovely time during training. We were taken to all the five star hotels in Bangalore as a part of training.
#After training, we were put into teams and we started off work.
#Went to the Lucky Ali show along with Amit and Anant.
#Went to Mumbai for Diwali. Enjoyed a lot there with my friends. It’s the best Diwali I ever had.
#Started working like a psycho-workaholic after returning from Mumbai. Eighteen to twenty hours of work a day till 29th December. The work got over on 29th, though the product release took place on 31st.
#Went out on MG road on 31st night. Made a dashing entry into the New Year along with my friends in my real life and on the net.
