bonerific ?!
i overslept this morning and that, in a way, solved my shall i take my driving evaluation test conundrum. yesterday i went grocery shopping for the entire family-- it was fun but i'm now $250 poorer for volunteering to pick up enough rations to last a week (or two), as well as yummy food court fare (that i haven't eaten in ages) for myself.
i also bought auburn hair dye! it was an impulse buy and i tried to pick the shade closest to red (instead of the purple-black that looked nasty the last time) but all they had was auburn, which is more like brown actually, and will probably do nothing for me unless i bleach my hair first and strip the black pigments off-- and i want to avoid doing that. i really should just go hunt for the exact shade i want and buy that, instead of settling for other shades and then feeling disappointed. i've dyed my hair at least 6 times the past year, and thrice in the past 3 months alone. my hair is going to start looking like straw soon. i should really give it a break for a few months.
also i have a million recipes to type, letters to send, nails to drive into walls so i can hang things up, a messy bedroom to clean up (no seriously i don't even have a bed to sleep on because that too has piles of junk on it)...and a dirty dog in desperate need of a good scrubbing. whenever my dog gets a bath everyone in the vicinity ends up having to take one too, but at least he enjoys them :(

i actually really want to sell part of my liver right now so i can buy a mini-fridge for my room to stash alcopops in (instead of hiding them behind huge slabs of meat... in the freezer). those things are lovely and have helped me get off the tea addiction i developed over two wintery months in london.
also i don't have to worry about passing out/smelling like a rotten banana/kiwi (that's what alcohol smells like to me), throwing up or tripping over piles of mess. i don't like beer (but then again i've never tried an ice-cold one; warm beer tastes like piss) so they're ideal as well.
the only thing i don't quite understand is lemon-lime flavoured alcopops. lemon-lime is nice and tart on its own and i love lemonade. but the buzz that followed soon afterwards reminded me of bouts of nausea on really long trips on the road, which involve me sucking bitter lemon/sherbet candy to save my life. on the other hand, i usually don't like peaches but the peach-flavoured version was lovely, as was the raspberry.
at the cold storage outlet nearby, the alcopop section is in the midst of the crisps and candy so it's pretty much unavoidable.
