Everything's coming up Milhouse! With what's been going on with Michael Jackson lately, this song seems ever so creepy. Oh well, it's still an awesome song, from what I consider his best days.
Anywho, things are looking up as of late! Tomorrow, my boyfriend and I start moving into our new place. I'm so excited! I will miss my current pre-war dwelling, but it will always hold a special place in my heart as the year I spent on my own. I'm finally taking some pictures of it because I realized that in the entire year that I've lived there, I have no record of it. This way, when Shawn and I have our son someday in the future, and he asks us what we were like back in the day, I can show him. Yay for future nostalgia!
Oh my! I almost forgot to wish you all a happy Independence Day! French Independence Day, that is, otherwise known as Bastille Day. Take that, monarchical society! In honor of the occassion, by cell phone ring is
La Marseillaise, the French National Anthem, and my background is the La Tour Eiffel. Sensass!
I got a groovy sunburn on Sunday. It's wonderful! Shawn and I went for brunch at
Trocadero, and we sat out on the patio. I was directy in the sun so I acquired some wonderful color on my face and arms that is now turning tan. I don't look dead anymore! Well, as long as you don't see the rest of my body. Brunch was exquisite, as is everything at Trocadero, and at only $16 for the two of us, it will hopefully become a Sunday tradition. They also have half-price bottles of wine with a free cheese plate on Wednesdays, so we'll be trying to do that too. God I love drinking.
We're going to get a dog in September! We've decided on a
miniature pinscher. We put a call into a breeder that's expecting a litter to be born in August, so we'll be able to get it in September sometime. We're going to try and get a female and name it Mathew. Shawn likes to give dogs human names of the opposite gender. Yeah, we'll probably get annoyed at correcting people on it for the rest of the dog's life, but it's a cute name.
For the past few weeks I've been having brief flashes of vertigo. It's so wonderful! It kinda feels like the time I swallowed half a package of Benedryl before going to school, but this isn't as likely to kill me. Maybe I should be worried as to what might be causing it, but right now I just want to enjoy it for a while, if you don't mind.
Toodles!
