6:30pm: CRUISE CONTROL!!
Well we arrived Kullam(Quilon) in the morning..and before having our breakfast we took our tickets and reserved our seats on the cruise....well ofcourse we wanted to have the seats near to the window....hehe...there were lots of foreign tourists...and most of them were really happy to have spent there hols in kerala...they were mesmerised with the beauty and the simplicity..that kerala had to serve in it's life and in the nature......well were on to the cruise..and believe i had never been on such along journey on water..i was a little apprehensive about it ..initially but..afterwards i enjoyed everybit of the cruise....we saw the kerala's second biggest lake ..i.e. Ashtmudhi lake..and saw many islands with the natives tribes...the Chinese fishing nets were of amazing site to see in the back waters..with the line of them showing as if large giraffes standing..with there heads held..high..or like large starfish jumping out of the water......it was just awsome...
I was fascinated to see jellyfishes in the backwaters...
(actually till now i haven't told u about abck waters..well what i know is that...backwaters are actually sea inlets formed due to tides in the sea..or ocean...as the high tide come the ocean water fills into these big criveces...and with low tide the water remians ..there and form a water body going deep into the main land...)
Well there were many sea-birds and different type of fishes to be seen from the cruise....it was the first time that i saw an eagle come charging in to the thin air ..and catch a fish in front of my eyes.....it was just unbelievable.....i was so dissapointed that i don't have a zoom camera..with me..but still i took pictures from my automatic camera...well the cruise took us to an island hotel serving typical kerala cuisine...we had a real good lunch served on banana leaves....it was delicious....since im an eggeterian so i didn't had fish but people eating fish were all full of appreciations for it.....so after that we set of again and then had one more stop for tea agian on an island..and then we reached the Allepey city by night....we took a bus from there to our last stop i.e. COCHIN.....hope u people liked the trip till now and keep visiting to get excitments of cochin harbour nd fortcochi..till then take care C U

12:40pm: KOVALLAM BEACH!!
Welcome to one of the most famous beaches of kerala (the other are kapad etc.).Welcome to KOVALAM ...
what u get here is a great scenic beauty with all the glamour of the sea...behind it...now catching our breath after that long walk to a place where we can keep our bags and spread our mats to get ready for the fun....in the sea...as i said u all must be prepared with ur swimming costumes..so get ready...as me and my friends are already in the sea waves..my GOD once ur in the sea u seem so powerless..it will pull u and push u..make u tumble in it's force ..but then it'll feel as if u'r playing with ur pet...with it being in the mood of pure fun..and being merry in that mock fight...now after that tiring sea fun..we all dead tired and are badly in need of a fresh water shower...so we took a hotel room and had a bath ..it was already night and we took to a near by hotelcumbar..with my friends ordering for alcohol and myself settling for a coke...(it's not that i never had alcohol..but now i kinda don't like it..ok leave it)...we had a great time eating and chating..and then just went to the hotel room and slept like logs...
i was just humming that song by " BEATLES "

So with this our Kovalam trip ended and we move the next morning to Kullam(Quilon)where we'll take a 8 hr cruise to cochin..So see u there....till then take care...C U

1:05pm: NEXT STOP KANYAKUMARI!!
Well as now we are at a place called balaramghad....which is about 70 km from trivandrum..and here we will be getting down for a walking to the palace...
Now about the palace - it was built by the famous ruler of kerala (i couldn't remember the name now coz it was a tongue twister )...he even defeated the great Tipu Sultan the ruler of mysore..in a fight for his land.The main attraction of the palace were:-
1)The wooden work was many hundred years ago,and the wood was still intact and shining as new.

2)the wood carving was exclusive and really mind bongling.

3)there was a dancing hall with granite stone on the floor. and life size statues of dancing apsara all around it.

4)there was a special bed for the queen made up of as i remember of now about 63 herbal wood..to keep her from sickness and to keep her skin glowing as ever.

5)there were many hide-out and an emergency exit ( atunnel which opens about two km from the palace).

after the seeing the palace and taking the pics we set of to get the bus to kanyakumari.(PALACE-ticket for entrance rupees 30 with 15 extra for the camera and 1000 for the handicam)

Welcome to the ancient and holy city of kanyakumari...the place famous for it's sunrise and sunsets..and also for the Vivekanand memorial...other than that there is a 133ft large statue of some famous South Indian poet .
We stayed for the night in a hotel giving us the picturesque view of the sea with the giant statue and the
noisy sea waves...the room was affordable as we were five people staying together in a three-bed room set.
We had a great time roaming around in the markets full of seashell goods and .i bought a "shankh"(it is a shell which is used to make a holy sound ,used mostly by the hindu community)....u get real cheap sea-shell stuff here...
The next morning we went to the Vivekanad memorial by a ferry and took a lot of pics there ...it was really peaceful..and one somehow feels at peace..there.....it was all so tranqilising...so peaceful..it's inexpressible....
so thats it we saw sunset and sunrise and took..lots of pics ....we also went to see the Gandi ashram..that was where gandhi ji's ashes were kept before setting them in the holy sangam of the three oceans in kanyakumari shores.....
Our jouney of kanyakumari is coming to an end...as we are going to catch a bus to kovallam that is near trivandrum...

1:10pm: The Journey Begins-Trivandrum
Well i am back and have got lot of things to talk about i don't know what part of it would matter to u..but anyway i want to write about the journey and will have no regrets..if i didn't have any comments on it... SO enjoy the trip with me...

Your first stop is Trivandrum and be sure to buy some swimming costume when ur here in kerala coz u can't resist the beaches.....U should have alot of cotton T-shirts and shorts..to wear for the whole trip..u can obviously wear any type of cotton costume if not shorts and T-shirts.....Now once in Trivandum we took a bath in the waiting room ..well it was crowded but having lived in a hostel for about three yrs one don't complain about the q .
Went to see the padmanabham temple..it was a great site built on the beach sand the temple was surounded by a gallery of pillars each having carved figurines...i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw such a variety of figures there were almost a hundred or more of pillars and each have different figure.(elephants,peacocks,apsaras,gods and goddesses were the main theme for each of the figures)..for getting into the temple u have to wear a "mund"(well it is mostly a plain cloth worn on ur waist going down to ur feet) ..ladies are exempted from this ritual...now out of the temple...
We are heading for the bust stand to catch a bus to kanyakumari , on the way we will be visiting the palace....made by the ruler of kerala....so enjoy ur bus ride i'll be back with more fun in the palace and ofcourse then we will move on to kanyakumari.....ciao and keep visiting for more fun....:)

WEll i'll be unable to barge into ur journals and comment without a sense what im commenting..on...for a few days from now...as i have already told u many a times and again that tomorrow is my seminar and after that i'll be leaving for the trip..so please bear my absence..hehe..as i know evryone of u will miss me..lol;)..and all my forgetfulness...but whenevr i am back i'll visit ur journal and comment so that u people will know that iam back...till then ciao and a great week ahead.....C U

2:15pm: A Tragedy!!
I never wanted to put this story on blog..but can't stop this feeling.....it happened last night a post graduate student committed suicide in our college ...he was found dead in his hostel room.He has been an above average student got placed in acompany and had received the joining letter on the very day when he committed suicide.I couldn't find any reason..for his act....but then came to know that he had been badly scolded and abused ..by his project guide a teacher in his department....i couldn't believe how could a mere project be more dear then his own life....i am confused what is the use of doing higher studies when they are unable to teach us whats right and what is wrong..the studies are of no use when after studying for more than 1/4th of our life we are still unaware how to live the rest of the 3/4th life peacefully ....i just pray that God pardon him for taking his life..and may his soul rest in peace..Amen

8:45pm: V'Day Evening!!
What a V'Day evening it has been ....didn't get any flowers only ..good wishes...;)...Actually in our college we have a group ..which arranges the roses to be given to the respective receptors...but something went wrong..and they were unable to arrange the roses....people kept waiting for the roses till the evening..and then in the end ..had to give..gulmohar flowers..lol;)....there were many heart breaks..and khoob masti...But the in the end my V'Day went without roses.....but i am happy that i enjoyed every moment with my friends and had loads of masti......So hope everybody will have a good night sleep with dreams of there valentine......C U and take care..ciao

5:30pm: The Art Of War
Yeah ,it is nothing about the film but yeah it sure is about the jist of the film story....China has really learnt that there is a war out there in International Trade and there is no short cut for winning that war.But on the other hand it smartly uses it's political kinship to support it's economic partnerships in diifferent countries ..it has done it in many south-eastren Asian countries..and is doing the same in America and India.
Few days back Mr. Shourie an Indian minister for Disinvestment was found quite impressed by China's economic forwardness and was saying that India should learn from it.What he lacked completely was the forsight to see that getting into other countries economy using political backhand...will lead to the feeling of enimosity and might lead to a longterm feeling of hatred by the local community.China has already entered Indian market with cheap goods which have no guarantee but is still being sold in streets,who gave them permit to sell such low quality goods ,even indian companies had to pass through different quality assurance procedures before there product comes in market..
this is ridiculous and must be stopped ..i don't know but i find something fishy about this whole episode of Mr. Shourie praising China so openly that also on afunction on Indian Industries....till next..ciao

3:26pm: Shopping Started!!
Hi..so our shopping for the trip has started yesterday..me and friends went to city and bought some trendy clothes ..We first went for buying some swimming trunks..now about the trunks they look cool by the first site with all orange and flourescent lining....but when we saw the cloth in shine we found it quite fine;);)....some of my friends wouldn't agree to buy such trunks but then i coaxed them by saying that this is in fashion. ;)..and this and that and they all bought one...sometime i think that who make fashion??ok leave it...now the most important part of shopping in india is bargaining...(it is not that u'll get acloth at no profit no loss but u try to get as much consumer surplus as possible):):)....then we bought some t-shirts and all ..till the end of shopping we were so tired and hungry that .:)..our mind had stopped working so we all had our food and were back in our hostels by 10 in the night....waiting for the trip to began....till next ciao

2:40pm: Travel Guide!!
Yo atlast i'll be out with my friends for a trip to south india.I have been planning this for such along time now that i have already been to all the places many times in my dreams.Hope everything works out ok,because before going for the trip i have to give my final yr seminar.and go through a regorous test cycle....well for the last three years i have been thinking the life will be more easy in the final yr but now it turns out to be more demanding....leave it..
My trip is from calicut to alleppey via train than we'll have fun in Alleppey (it is the back waters paradise)..then we'll catch a cruise from alleppey to Trivandrum..from Trivandrum we'll go to Kanyakumari(well the sunrise and sunsets from Vivekanand Memorial i can't wait to be there...then we'll return back to Trivandrum and will have fun at the Kovallam Beach...there are lot of site seeing in Trivandrum....Then we'll start for Our return journey to Calicut..if we have time in our hands we are planning to go to Cochin also..there is a place near to cochin where Vasco DeGama touched our Indian coast.So thats it and our trip is staring from 18th of feb ...so watch out for some great travel stories on my blog after 25th of feb.Till then take care..

Well this is about the movie i just revised ..:) yeah u read it right i revised the movie COA ..:) well just that i liked both the characters in the movie the Angel(played by Nicolas Cage) and maggie the doctor([played by Meg Ryan)...:) yeah but
Moreover what i liked about the movie is that it gives a little support to people who have lost their loved ones...it is really heart soothing to know that every good soul is taken care after he /she is dead.... I just liked it....;) the music Goo Goo Dolls-Iris, the cinematography and all....it is agreat treat to u'r eyes.....;)so when ever u have time to kill just watch it.....till next ..:bye

1:44pm: Another Monday!!
I don't know why but from my school days till now when i am in college i had always found it difficult to believe that sunday night has gone ....I am always in a feel that sunday night will be a bit longer so that i can sleep at 3:00 am and still attend my first few college hours but ALAS!! it had never happened and i have agian bunked my first two hours...and am here writing a blog in the recees time...so friend welcome today is MONDAY!!

The US space craft met with a tragic accident killing all the crew members including an indian born american KALPANA CHAWLA .She was a story of a girl fulfilling her dream and taking it to the hieghts of glory that no indian woman has ever reached.
It all started when kalpana was a ittle girl she was impressed by J.R.D. Tata the father of Indian steel industry.She was so interested anything related to flying that she got into aeronautical enggineering. She was the only girl in that course.She did her higher education in US and become the first Indian American to go in space.It was a moment of great pride when she took the emblem and momentos of her schooling in India in the outer space but Alas !! God is always in need of good people .
He took from us a good soul and a daring woman .

Well i was just reading an article by Shoba De she is supposed to be a feminist(in all reagrd to this word).The article was about the young girls concept of a happy ,challenging and selfsatisfying life.Well it comes out that her elder girl (who had just turned 18) had given her, a piece of her mind about becoming a House Maker.Now i really don't know about others , but is this is a fact, that now a days girls have started thinking that making a good family is more challenging ,then there fight of rights of equality that brought them face to face with the manly world.????

40 days and 40 night is a movie about a man's feeling on being ignored by someone who he thinks he love.
The movies could have been made better but still i liked it coz it shows that a powerful determination could help u to win over any of u'r weekness (in the movie it was this urge of having sex which the hero won over by keeping clean for 40 days and 40 nights).
