2:52p - Lack of blogging
Sorry about not blogging recently. At all my spare moments I've been reading Harry Potter. I'm up to page 309 of Prisoner of Azkaban.

7:11p - Arrrr, Piracy
As I was waiting at the laundromat today for the drier to finish, I continued reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. A woman came in the door and asked, "DVD?" I looked up and saw a Chinese woman holding out a DVD case, a pirated version of The Matrix Reloaded. "Hmm, why not?" I thought, inspecting the DVD as she brought out a number of other movies, like Bruce Almighty and Spy Kids 2 that I certainly did not want. I bought the DVD for $10, feeling risky, and took it home when my laundry finished. It is obviously made from videotaping at a movie theatre, but it is a very good quality capture. Some of the darker scenes look too dark, and many of the action sequences aren't quite up to speed, but the sound is good and it looks much better than any capture I've seen. It also has an option to subtitle the movie in Chinese, which is funny. Niobe is apparently "9ob."
