The monkey haus Top Ten [30 Oct 2003|12:15am]
[ mood | tired ]

Today's update was inspired by Greyden's hate toplist.

The Top Ten Things I Love This Week

10. Wizz Fizz
How great is wizz fizz. Processed Sugar in a sachet with a free spoon...ingenious. You dont really care what colour the packet is because they are all sugar flavour. Be warned though eating 5 or more packets in one sitting may cause you to spontaneously flip-the-fuck-out like a squirel on cocaine.

9. Weird Al Yankovich
No I dont love him like THAT. Weird Al rocks. Artist's actually give him permission to bag them, and their bands out in their own songs. Some people say you havent really made it untill Weird Al parodys you. I agree with them. He looks like he's had a multitude of facelifts...Freak.

8. Company Cars
I drive my old man's company car, probably more than he does. It runs on free fuel and gets washed by free car wash's. What more could you want??? I think that's why I havent bought myself a car yet. Anyone who has driven in the company VT knows it pheer's no speedbump or traffic calming obstacle.

7. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy
This show rocks my tiny little world. Five wooly oofda's totally rennovating someone's life in EVERY aspect in just one day. HOW COULD THAT NOT BE FUNNY. Carson is the best, I think his parent's condemmed him to gay from the day he was born with a name like that. He is the fashion expert on the show and regularly chimes in with comments like "show me where the bad man touched you" and "everything feels better in cashmere".

6. Merriam Webster Online Dictonairy of Spellings
Where would I be without this, so very handy and such. Merriam knows how to spell everything, she's like a human-computer-human dictionary of words. This top ten would have so many spelling errors without her.

5. Intarweb Macro Expression Images
WTF.

4. Subway
It's the way a sandwitch should be. I love subway, it treats me right, it's always there when I need it, and it doesnt backchat. What more could you want in a sandwich? Plus if I keep collecting these little stamps then someday I'll have....alot of stamps.

3. Pez
Pez is fucking cool. Not only do you get a delectable candied sweet, but you also get a kickin rad dispenser topped with your favourite cartoon character. and they are refillable!!! I have a snoopy.

2. Xena Warrior Princess
So butch, so mysterious. Is she a lesbian? Is Gabrial a lesbian? I guess we'll never know. Her ALILELELELELELEL~!!! warcry makes me randy.

1. Futurama
Futurama is KRAD. So many quotable characters. Fry, Bender, The Professer. It got axed from its already pitifull 10:30 timeslot. How is it that gaymax shows like DIY Rescue and All Saints maintain primetime, while animation masterpieces like Futurama go unnoticed? It's a crime and I demand a snack-rifice.

Holy cow dude, birthdays come around quickly. I dont feel older or anything and certainly not more responsible.

Just drop off my present in the driveway kthx.

It's Nibbler's Birthday,
What a great day for a Birthday,
Let's all have some cake.'

Some people have rigged the enemy base with explosives. Albert has. [25 Oct 2003|06:03pm]

[ music | Devin Townsend - Bad Devil ]

I was going to write somthing this morning, but I had a total mental blank. In other news ITS MY BIRTHDAY ON MONDAY~!!! The big One-Nine, I hope they have support groups for this kind of thing. I think i'm gunna miss being 18, I dont know why though.

Last night was un-eventful but fun as always. The walkie talkies while driving spice things up a bit, especially when your navigator is quite intoxicated. I think Greyden's idea to make a story out of random photos taken on a drive is awesome. We should definatly do that next time. We can also try break the VT again, that was mad/rad/badcore. I think if we take off the stocko hubcaps and put on blue/white business style shirts we could have a little unmarked-car fun too.

My sister got paid $40 for 3.25 hours of babysitting (read watching tv) the neighbours kids last night. OMGWTFBBQHAX~!*(&#% even I would put up with Neddies devilspawn children for that, what a frucking bludge.

It's Carly's 19th tonight and I think I'm dragging Talia along, should be an interesting night that's for sure.

Greyden I left that solo in the freezer, you might wanna take it out. You can have it too, cause I drink your coke all the time anyways.

After being inspired by Greyden and rock_star26's top ten things I hate for the week, I have decided to do a top 10 things I love. Stay tuned for that one. Hilarity Ensues.

Last night, we made an attempt to watch the last few episodes of season one of The Sopranos. But was I interupted by a phone call that blew out to like an hour+, so I only ended up seeing 70% of the last ep. Oh well, I must catch the ones I missed sometime though. Hey...tony...forget about it.

Me, spete and mongie saw Kill Bill Volume 1 yesterday, and it did indeed rock. Sick, twisted, gory, funny and a bit of T&A...all the things I like in a movie. It slices, it dices and it's dishwasher safe, with none of that CGI crap. Do yourself a favour and go out and see it...UNLESS YOUR A MINOR HAR HAR HAR *cough* AHAR HAR HAR. The only movie I have seen with more blood spray is Braindead, and that's a B grade horror killfest from New Zealand. nuff said.

I eat a shitload of junkfood. I dont want to think how much of my dodgy woolworths paycheck goes on it. Too much, that's for sure. Yesterday was subway for lunch and redrooter for a 11:00pm post dinner, dinner. But you gotta eat you know...A wise old crazy customer of mine at work once told me that:

"If you don't eat, you don't shit, and if you don't shit, you die"
- some crazy old random from work

Advice to live by I reckon.

I just spent all morning trying to get The Cat Empire - Hello Hello only to find it's a radio rip. That'll teach me to be a juarez monkey.

What's with this heat today. Not just like it's a bit hot, it's like "give-me-the-shits-enough-to-write-in-my-blurty" hot. I suppose it's better than the dreary overcast rainy crap we've been getting lately though. It's times like these I wish my intarwebzsuperfastwayskatingdevice was downstairs in the AC. Hopefully this weather will hold out for when we get a coast trip organised.

How's you? I just handed in the last assignment for the year!!! Freedom for a week or so before I have to study like mad for exams. Gotta make the most of it while it lasts.

CIST UPDATE: Monday 20th October 2003 - Now resembles a skin coloured jaffa

Went and checked out spooon's new pad last night. It is quite lush. Very roomy, my only complaint would be the lack of parking. We watched the best of Mike Myers on Saturday Night Live DVD. It rocked. His character Dieter from SCHHPRRROCKKETS TV would have to be my favourite. He's also got the best of Adam Sandler from SNL DVD over there. We'll have to watch that one next time we're over.

"Vould you like to touch my monkey? Touch him! Love him! Liebe meine abst-monkey."
- Dieter

If you haven't read the ladder theory then head over to Pete's Blog and check it out. Alot of it is very true. Speaking of relationships...I've been invited to my Ex's birthday this weekend, and I dont know if I should go...suggestions?

I try to watch Australian Idol with the rest of my household, and I dont understand why everyone is whinging about what Mark Holden and Dicko said last night. You cant deny that to make it as a female popstar these days you need a voice AND the looks to go along with it. Bitch and moan all you like, but that's the facts...and just between you and me...whoever told Pauline to wear that dress, should be shot on site girlfriend.

I know I'm a bad bad man. I didnt update yesterday. I had about a million things on. Assignments, work, pussy...THE LIST GOES ON. So this morning's update is a bit of an overview of yesterdays events and a taste of what is set for today. (sounds exciting doesnt it.....prepare to be surprised).

CIST UPDATE: Sunday 19th October 2003 - Still looks like a Peanut MM.

The original Friday the 13th was on, on Friday night. I hope you all watched it! Horror Classic right there. A cut above Texas Chainsaw Masacre (PUN IN-TEN-DEAD) HUK~!. After my big speel about Space Ghost Coast to Coast and The Brak Show last update, I forgot to watch them!!! HOLY DISAPOINTMENT BATMAN, I'm a titanic idiot for that one, oh well, there's always next week.

Saturday was a biggun. Woke up at about 10:30 to get a msg from Mark saying he was comming over to do an assignment before I had to goto work. Fair enough. We got a little bit of that done, only to find out the assignment is not a group one. GO TEAM!@#%&. So off I merrily head to work at 12:30. This was no ordinary work day though...the Moorooka Street Festival was on. The offset of this was that work was really busy. I think it was best described by my 50year old service manager Geanie "What a shit of a day that was". But it eventually came to an end, and home I went.

After work I was supposed to head out to Albian to see Talia dance. BUT I was running late after working overtime, and her performance was on early, so I totally missed it. We ended up having a quiet night in, watched a couple of DVDs.

Today is an assignment day though. ITB229 - Information Systems Modelling Assignment 2 is due tomorrow and we have two of the five questions done. I imagine there will be a few updates today, seeing I'll be avoiding assignment work and what not.

Dr Phil's subject was so good last update, I've asked him to take care of this one as well.

[ music | Astral Projection - Nilaya ]

Morning sportsfans. If I have breakfast at lunch does that mean I have to have lunch at dinner? Because that’s how it’s looking today, and I for one, don’t like it.

In unrelated news I smashed Greyden at Soul Calibre II last night with my button mashing skills. Before the Soul Calibre II slaw was unleashed though, we watched the original Texas Chainsaw Masacre DVD. I can’t say I was totally blown away by it…but for what Greyden paid for it, it was a pretty good buy. I think we were all disappointed at the lack of boobies though. I mean you expect a certain level of nudity from cheesy horror movies, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre just didn’t deliver.

I slept in till 11:30 today, that’s a pretty good effort. I didn’t get to bed till 3:00am though; I think that had something to do with it. Also I have a cist behind my ear…it is rather gross...but you can’t really see it.

Space Ghost Coast to Coast is on tonight, possibly THE best show on cable tv. If you’ve got cable or satellite, switch over to cartoon network at 11:30pm tonight and see the funny. After Space Ghost Coast to Coast, The Brak Show is on which is almost as good, and defiantly worth seeing.

"I dance like a woman…If she were a man."
-Space Ghost

I’ve got the LCD going now, and I must say, it’s pretty schmick, very bright and easy on the eyes. I don’t think I’ll be able to look at a CRT again.

My post's subject today was sponsored by Dr Phil

Money, monkey, money... [16 Oct 2003|03:13pm]
[ mood | weird ]
[ music | Ben Folds - Underground ]

Last night I decided to make an investment in the future of my eyeballs...well not really, I just wanted a bling-bling monitor. I ordered one of these babies: DVI input, 16ms response, 260cd brightness, 500:1 contrast ratio...are you turned on yet? Is it normal to get an erection from a monitor? I certainly hope so...I'm picking it up this afternoon, so I'll make a post about my impressions of this thing tonight.

I'm still feeling a bit dizzy, though it's not as bad as it was, which is promising. Hopefully it will clear up before exams, or I might be in a bit of trouble.

On a lighter note I HAVE FOUND THE GREATEST WALLPAPER IN EXISTENCE...and once my webspace is backup, I will show it to the masses. Now that I think about it, why do we have wallpaper? I mean how often do you see your plain desktop. 99.998% of the time it is covered in IE windows, Instant Messaging chats, programs and porn. "Checkout my new wallpaper" "k, so whats it look like?" "oh I cant remember cause there is too much SHIT all over the place". Down with wallpaper, up with minimalist blankness I say.

My service manager at work had her kilts on the ARA Fashion awards last night, I voted for her, she lost.

How does my house use 3gb a month browsing!!! I have no idea how we do it, but we do, consistently, month after month. I'm going to stop ranting about it now...but expect it all over again towards the end of the month, when I'm browsing with images turned off due to my families habbits.

I need to get out of this house.

I 1/2 missed a bus today...How do you half miss a bus? I hear you say, well...I THOUGHT the bus had gone, as I was running late as always to work, so I started walking. It was when I got about halfway there that the magical Brisbane Shitty Council 116 decided to appear behind me, So I flagged it down, jumped on and rode the last 100m or so to work. And there you have it, now next time you want to 1/2 miss a bus you will be better off, knowing my advice.

I tried that new chinese place up the road...Sweet and Sour Pork and Flied Lice $5.90, you come twice you pay twice. I dont fucking care what it was, when they fry it real crisp in dough, it's good.

Work was at it's exciting-as-a-3-toed-sloth-on-vallium-at-a-rubix-cube-tornament best. I came, I saw, I scanned...about sums up my day on the checkouts. No stoners with the munchies or mothers beating the shit outta there kids to amuse me today. Oh well there's always tomorrow...

I think I'll have to pike out on Greyden's tonight. I'm the biggest party pooperist that ever pooped a party.

Welcome to my nightmare...and such things [15 Oct 2003|12:18pm]

FRUSTRATION~!

I just had a large first entry written up and the thing times out on me! Now I'm going to have to retype the entire thing, I hope all my readers out there (yes all two of you) understand the dedication I put into this journal...

It has recently come to my attention that in order to be cool you have to have a blurty journal...so here we are. This is the only place on the entire intarwebsuperfastway where my ramblings matter. Enjoy...

Today started like any good day should, with a long sleep in. 11:00am to be exact. Makes me glad to be a student. I have to head up the road to work soon. I'm thinking about going up early and trying out the new chinese take-away shop that just opened up. It looks pretty clean...which worries me a bit, as the best chinese shops are usually the most run-down, dirty looking places. But I'll take my chances on this one.

After work we're heading round to Greyden's for a few quiet one's which will almost certainly turn into a few noisey ones. Not that there is anything wrong with that...

Well that about sums up my first ever blurty entry...I hope you enjoyed it more than I did typing it out twice, because that certainly sucked.
