12:05am: Back from camp!

Very very itchy, got bitten by sandfleas/flies on my legs during the campfire or on the 2nd night, got sunburned all over my neck and at the same time, made many new friends (:

Day 1:
Carried my heavy bag up the stairs cursing and went to sleep in class since I was the only one there while people passing my class looked in like kay pohs. Don't think I don't know!

Discovered that we needed to bring a plate and cup to camp when Linette came bumbling over to my class and while she went off with Petrina and Krystle, I went to beg a plate from the canteen auntie with Jacinth, the lady at the drinks stall laughed at me when I told her of my dilemma, thanks a lot.

Was the first bus to arrive at camp Sarimbun and also the first to arrive at the MPH, Yihui carried Esther's guitar while Esther carried Yihui much more heavier bag, not fair!

Instructors Mr Wong/boss and Ashley, Olson became Osim -.-

Lunch was interesting with Lee 2 practically fighting over who got to serve the food and the winners of the "fight", namely Kimberly whom I was watching jumping up and down in joy. Don't remember the food exactly, but it was good!

Then Obstacles Journey with Penguin and CJ, they were playing with the little red ball on the Olson flag pole and dented it! Then they tried to make it right and 1 dent became 7.

Low wall challenge was first and they was this wonderful "chip", wait scratch that, DENT in the wall, apparently Polar Bear/Bhangra flung himself upon it and it cracked off. Cool. Must be damn pain.

We reached a high beam, about 2.5m high, which was a "challenge by choice" and I don't know what possessed me, but I went for it. Now things may seem normal, but I'm friggin' afraid of heights! When I got up I was so scared and shaky and kept on repeating "The Lord is my Shepard" and when I finally got down, I was close to tears.

Rock climbing was next. I was one of the first to go up, compared to the high beam, the rock climbing wasn't half scary but I got tired up there and went down in the lower 1/3 of the wall. When Ellice was climbing I felt really motivated by what I saw, she never let her being shorter than most girls stop her from climbing as well as us and she really struggled and even made it past where I stopped. Whoah.

Teambuilding Games, Giant's Finger, our team did extension to remove it and put it back again, then the Ladder of Success, I had to go up so many times! But not as many as Rachel Lok (: walked away from that feeling really exhausted, didn't help that Ellice, tired from the rock climbing dropped her end of the pole and I got send tumbling to the ground. Spider's Web up next and I ended up being lifted up through the net, hey i'm not that small!

Had a walk around with Zhuan Yi and Estelle looking at the old obstacle place we were at in P5

Did Dinner duty and ended up wiping tables knocking down clean cups along the way, oops.

Decided to help Crystal organize the non-dancers and non-cheerleaders, aka the girls doing nothing to sing during item prep and sat on the grass while the rest stood up watching the cheerleading, your bums made of diamonds meh?

After that devotions then supper, hardly any of the Olson 1 people ate supper because they wanted to get a head start to showering so Sharyl and I were one of the few idiots sitting in the Olson 1 area eating biscuits.

After showering I discovered from Amy that Cao Yu and Ellice had gone home, since the spot next to Amy was vacant in the next tent, and the tent I was supposed to be in had 9 girls including me, so the 2 of us went and got permission from the teachers, Amy was happy since she didn't want to sleep next to someone and she was scared.

Ended up "cowering" in fear because I don't fancy the thought of having my skull kicked in by Elizabeth so I kept on having to move downwards.

And some MORON tripped over out guidelines/guylines in the middle of the night! We were all about to sleep when suddenly the tent shuddered and we all screamed because we thought it was going to collapse and I heard a "Oh shit" from outside. Idiot.

Zhi Wai suffered an asthma attack either before or after the guyline tripping incident, can't remember exactly so I lent her my inhaler, she went home the next day if I'm not wrong.

Day 2
Woke up feeling sleepy and made my way to the toilets by myself, then I discovered that my toothpaste was missing -.- ended up using Esther's Colgate

Got so little food for breakfast, I finished the food in under 10 mins!

River Challenge, I ended up attempting to help tie some of the knots of the raft, and I need up getting sent over with Serena and I balancing in one tube with Esther in the middle, Hannah and can't remember who else was in the 3rd tube with the 2 poles tied together at the sides. Esther being the biggest sized pulled us along the line extended from one line of the pond to the other side. No one capsized or fell off! Yay!

Oh yeah, Ashley fell sick so Juliet replaced her.

Nature Ramble was next and I walked between Yuki and Sharyl, but somehow before we reached the swamp, Sharyl had gone up front and I was behind Emery, when we entered the swamp, Amy slipped and fell, after that she was hysterical and scared, it was her first camp like this after all.

For most of the trip through the swamp Emery walked up front because I knew I had to help Yuki and watch out for her as she was taking care of Amy. I also ended up carrying the stupid bag on my HEAD like Bangladeshi worker because I didn't want to get it wet as the water reached up to my lower torso in some parts.

I also saw a decapitated feesh floating around in the swamp. Yuki spotted it. Ewwwwwwwww. It was just floating around with the flesh poking out with tail and all intact. When we got on land I was happily pulling out lallang that was in the way and tossing bricks from the ground into the bushes. Lee 1 and 2 + Jackson 1 you have me to thank for making your ramble easier!

Kayaking was bloody tiring, imagine 2 underweight girls with weak muscles trying to keep up with 2 big built girls through the open sea. 'nuff said. Heard Emery and another girl paddled right into a fishing line from a kelong. Boss was going so fast he and Elizabeth + Barney/Charissa disappeared for a long time before we made it past the kelong and spotted them - on shore. The rest of the team was behind us and catching up -.-

Then after lunch it started to RAIN. I had to bloody run all the way from my tent to the MPH in the heavy rain, we didn't do the actual Saint's Challenge, we instead "played" egg drop, and amazingly my group's egg didn't break! We just anyhow did it and it ended up looking like some IRA bomb or something. CEEO and Banghra/Polar Bear were tossing the egg around and I wanted to scream, we were so afraid they would drop it.

Then Command and Conquer! We built a catapult like a teepee and spent the rest of the session holding the shoddy structure together because it was coming apart, casualties: Katie, she got whacked by the catapult after launching when in came down.

Then cheerleading, nothing very outstanding or else I'd remember it clearly.

Dinner time, did duty again. This time I managed the washing up.

Campfire was fun! Sat next to Sharyl, the most outstanding item was Lee 2 (alien alien!) with their cute dance and the dancing competition was of course Kimberly! I only watched her because the rest were less interesting, Rachel Ng was too conscientious of herself and ran out of dance steps quickly. Poor thing.

We had glo-sticks! Hahaha, Olson rocks, we were the only house that thought of bringing glo-sticks to camp

Slept in the MPH because our tents were flooded and it was so noisy! I recognized Michelle Lim and Elvina's voices among the chatter, Rachel Wang, Venesssa and Tann Ting, all "sleeping" around me were all fed up and kept on "shhhh-ing" people. In the end I got fed up and shouted "Keep Quiet!"

Whoah, what a big difference. The entire MPH shut up. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. But after about 3 mins the noise started coming back, considerably softer than previously and it remained around that level till I knocked off.

Day 3
Got up sleepy around 6:18 (according to Tann Ting who was sitting up awake) and walked to the toilet and saw Jennifer stomping around complaining of ants.

Ate breakfast then went to strike tents, what stupid morons from the Blackmore side put their peg behind the branches of the tree? Idiots. It was super hard to remove not to mention there would be ants nearby, move your tent when you were pitching it lah, when we were wiping it down ants were merrily dancing out of the tent.

Washed the rags and boss was doing a "dance" for us after saying ant bites don't hurt. Hahahaha. Finally I looked wheer he was standing and there were ants everywhere and he was standing in the middle of one of their "anty" expeditions, no wonder lah. Kena bite.

Did evaluations and talked with boss for the last time then we were packed off onto the bus.

Now my legs are friggin' itchy from sandfly/flea bites, I either got it at the campsite or the MPH, which has sand in the cracks between the tiles. Let me tell you this: it sucks. I even have bites up my ass and on my arms. Very itchy.

Whoah damn long, this post. Took me about... 3 hours 44 mins! Oh my goodness. Going to bathe again. Congrats to anyone who made it this far
