I totally dig text messaging because I prefer asynchronous communication wherever appropriate. However, I have thus far avoided introducing txtspeak into any of them. I send text messages with polysyllabic words, complete sentences, and the entirety of words like "you". I don't find it particularly difficult to enter text at a reasonable pace, and I never use up my allotment of characters.
I'm just peculiar like that.
