12:06a - An update for Melanie
Because it was nice outside, we brought the TV from my mom's room out onto the deck and watched Columbo. That was novel.

Sam's computer is making a dreadful sound. He claims it is because the optical drive is unbalanced. All I have to say to this is a.) my optical drive never makes sounds like that and b.) why isn't he doing anything to balance it, then? It is really loud. He is installing Quake III Arena, which he gacked from my brother.

They rented Cowboy Bebop: The Movie earlier and watched it. I have to say, it was pretty cool, and head and shoulders above the disjointed bits of the tv series I've seen. That's probably as much my fault for having not a clue what was going on, but still. It was cool.

Nothing going on, terribly bored. My dad is out of town. My mom is off work tomorrow and wants to clean the deck or some such project. I regard this endeavor dubiously.

That is all.

2:13a - Lip update
My doctor gave me this prescription that works on the sores on the corners of my mouth as well as cold sores (although my cold sore cleared up readily enough). It is highly effective, but tastes bad (just try putting something on your lips and never getting it in your mouth) and dries out my lips, which is of course what causes the whole problem. Judicious application of Blistex Herbal Answer thereafter has made my lips almost normal.

Possibly even kissable.

Not that, you know. Anyone would. But still.

I started reading this rather comprehensive book about the Virgin Mary entitled Alone of All Her Sex, but I do not know where it has gone. It was quite interesting.

Sam refuses to believe that the last segment of the Animatrix sucked, but it did. Royally. Me and Danny and his two little friends were all shouting at the screen in disbelief and disgust.

*reclines*

Oh, and yes, this is my new guilty pleasure song.
