Firstly, I CAN NOT STAND COLIN QUINN!!!! I'm a huge, huge WU fan but God... I have never seen anything so bad, because we get SNL nightly here I have a few comments about 95-97, what an amazing time, could Cheri Oteri be any better? Norm McDonald is effing brilliant! I'm going to post much more together thoughts about specific episodes and sketches at a later date but just WOW! Now we are going to 92-93, JULIA SWEENEY, YAY!!!! I made a couple of wallpapers, they are in 1024x768 if you want a different size post a comment.    And this one is a Scary Movie one but Cheri Oteri is in it.  |

Fey's 'Girls' Club Lands Director Thu Jul 3, 1:05 AM ET By Zorianna Kit LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Mark Waters, who directs Disney's upcoming "Freaky Friday," will take the helm of "Mean Girls," a comedy co-starring Tina Fey of "Saturday Night Live." A Sept. 8 start date is planned. The Paramount project is described as being in the vein of "Clueless," and centers on a teenager who grew up abroad. When her family relocates to Chicago and she enrolls in high school, she experiences firsthand how cruel teenagers, particularly girls, can really be. It is based on Rosalind Wiseman's nonfiction book "Queen Bees and Wannabees: Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip, Boyfriends and Other Realities of Adolescence." Fey, head writer on "SNL" and co-host of the sketch comedy show's "Weekend Update," also adapted the book. Waters previously directed "Head Over Heels" and "The House of Yes." "Freaky," which opens Aug. 6, stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. Reuters/Hollywood Reporter Yeehah! this is great news, it will be very interesting to see Tina in a non SNL role and she is a genius as a writer. Secondly sorry for the lack of updates but I have been on vacation (and still am) so I have no SNL to rant about anyway, I have three reviews to type up when I get back, so I'll be a busy girl. The Tina Fey movies news was a great introduction to this rant though which is all about SNL cast members in the Moives and SNL produced movies. Firstly, I brought A Night At The Roxbury on DVD last Saturday, and I would like to say THAT MOVIE KICKS ASS! I know that most of the critics panned it and not even all the SNL fans were happy with id but I think with SNL movies you have to take them for what they are, you can't really expect a masterpiece from a sketch on a TV show, you have to take the movie for what it is a fun piece of fluff. And secondly today, I would like to talk about Scary Movie. Cheri Oteri was BRILLIANT in this movie, her character was an over the top combination of Rita DelVecico and Barbara Walters. She got akll the best lines and really stole the show. I'm sorry today's entry is so short but I have VERY limited time, so I will add to what I have to say on Thursday when I get home. This is my new journal devoted solely to ranting, raving and obsessing about Saturday Night Live, I have another journal http://www.blurty.com/~justjacquie which is devoted to me, so if you want to know more about me and my life I would suggest reading that one... I guess that a brief introduction to my obsession and I would be in order so here goes... I'm Jacquie Hope, I'm from Blacktown, NSW, Australia but I have lived most of my life in first Raby, NSW, Australia, then Narrellan, NSW, Australia then finally Mount Annan, NSW, Australia. It seems that everytime I move, it's further away from Sydney, from the Western Suburbs, to the outer South-Western Suburbs, to a piss-ass, white bred, homphobic, racist mountian town, to an out lying area of the same town where it's problems are magnified... Thankfully I'm off to college next year, in a city of just under 1 million people, YEEHAH! I live with my parents right now, I hate that... If I had the money I would move right now. Other than SNL I love lots of TV including ER, Will & Grace... the list goes on and on. I'm really into Julianne Moore movies, listening to music, especially Motown and early 80's stuff, umm...I love women, I'm gay. Now as for the topic of this journal my all consuming obsession with all things Saturday Night Live I used to watch SNL when I was much younger but then it stopped being on free-to-air TV in Australia, so when I got cable I started watching again, that was in 1995 so I started really watching at the time when Cheri Oteri, Molly Shannon and Will Ferrell were just starting out. I have seen nearly every episode of SNL, I admit as will everybody else that there have been tims when the show just flat out SUCKED!
