Yah something rung me when I was watching JSports 2002 yesterday. Remember Tsuyoshi has cutted his sports attire shelves. Wonder will the sponsor be mad that he has done that especially the brand is sewed on the shelves.... HEEEE....

This is an article I read yesterday concerning how Johnny’s created their stars and how to use them to earn money. I am now sharing with all of you. Those in italize represents my words
Fans club
Their money earned most from this area. All their artists, SMAP, KinKi Kids, TOKIO, V6, Arashi etc all have their own fan club, but they cannot cross-communicated therefore, if you liked 2 artist group, you have to pay extra member fee for that group. Their concert tickets are only opened for fan members and if they do not joined the club; they can’t purchase the concert tickets. The annual fee is 1,000 yen and you will receive, a member pass, 4 issues of update magazines (per year), chances to join their variety shows filming process and priority to purchase Johnny’s Sport tickets. But no discount is given, and there is no guarantee that they will sure to be got those tickets because there are too many members so the chance to get it isn’t big. If you are not been selected, your ticket fees will be returned to you after detecting off 3% administration fees. There are total 1.6 million of fan members, just based on those payments of annual fees; the company will earn 7billion yen.
Wow, deducting off of 3% is quite a lot, especially if you have bid for the maximum of 6 tickets and at the end you can get any of them. 6,000 x 6 x 3% = 1,080 yen, this amount is enough to pay for one year member fee. In additional, I think their members should be more than 1.6million, 1.6million is too little.
Concerts
Their concert is opened non-stop; there are 2 tour concerts in a year. In Japan, the concert ticket isn’t expensive, it’s just 6,000 yen but the numbers of concert held by the Johnny’s is shocking. Faithful fans will follow their idols on their tour concerts and how many concert they have they will follow all. V6 has a record of having 11 concerts within 7 days and SMAP’s tour concert attracted 1million people, earning about 6billion yen. Opening concerts become an effective method to earn money.
CD
Buying CDs is one of the ‘must spend’ areas by the fans. And Johnny’s promotion on their CDs is releasing many editions, with nice boxes or will additional cards etc, this is to attract the fans to search for all editions. SMAP once released 12 colors cover, T&T also has 3 different editions. On the release day of Doumoto Tsuyoshi’s ROSSO E AZZURRO, they even held the “buy album, lucky draw to get the limited edition of ROSSO E AZZURRO watch”, and true enough there is a fan who bought 44 copies at a go.
Wow, impressive! 44 copies!!! *Salute you* Haha, I only got 3 copies of limited one. I do hope to get at least a copy of normal edition. Em……
Advertisements
It’s the main tool for those idols to earn money. The first-line (or top-rated) artists can earned up to 80million yen, for instance Takuya Kimura took up 7 to 8 ads a year and so his income exceeded millions. To the fans, those products posters and promotion boards are must grab stuffs. And those advertisers in order to earn money, they even have promotions liked buy products and free limited edition of the artist’s card etc.
Goods
There are many kinds of Johnny’s goods. Anything that fans want, it is available. V6’s game where you can becoming their manager, controlling them, TOKIO’s pictured flying board, all these are creative products. But the smartest way by the company is to play with the term, “limited”. A set of photos been sold in Johnny’s shop, concert stores, fan’s club etc and to get a complete set, fans have to travel many places to collect. Although it is difficult to get them but the fans are enjoying the process. And most of the time when there are new items, it will be swept off within an hour. Although every copy of the photo is 150yen but the numbers released are terrifying. For instance, Doumoto Tsuyoshi once released 107 photos at a go. Releasing book is another method. Portrait books are common but they even released school calendar. The popular group, KinKi Kids even released a copy each, using different publisher. Johnny’s also made use of variety programs to release book for instance SMAP’s “SMAP x SMAP”, a SMAP’s cooking book, Shingo Katori’s “SMAP’s Saturday” changing into Shingo mama teaching the audiences to cook breakfast so Shingo mama’s cooking book is also released. Shingo Katori and Tsuyoshi Kusanagi have programs on teaching of Korean and English so these languages books are also released. Just based on SMAP this group, they can released about 10-20 books and each of these books has its point and just getting those copyrights of those books, the company is earning crazy,
Stage Drama
In order to allow the group to come out solo, Johnny Kitagawa encouraged the artists to perform in stage dramas. In order to maintain the artists’ superstar feel, they are not allowed to have any autograph section or shaking hand section. And to the fans, watching stage drama is the chance to see their idols in short distance. Although the stage area is small but the income is grand. For instance, Doumoto Kouichi’s “SHOCK” performance, 0.15million of tickets each sold at the price of 12,000yen and more than 1million people purchasing it so the price of the tickets rose to 50,000yen.
So it explained why they can’t shake hand with the artist, sign even if we meet them in the streets also not allowed?
Overseas tour
Just Japan alone is insufficient; Johnny’s groups also have concerts in Asia. The company will also bring fans on overseas tour to attend these concerts. And the tour fees are of course more expensive than others. For instance, V6’s Taiwan concert, there is 1,100 people following, yielding the income of 0.2billion. These Japanese fans not only followed to the concerts but also bought those concert goods that are only sold in Asia concerts. In order to satisfy and thanks these fans, the company even arranged the artists to go to tables to thanks their fans and have a group pictures. These are some activities that the Japanese fans can’t do in Japan so they are willing to join these overseas tours.
Impressive idea! If I am those fans, I will also join the tour but those figures are amusing. 1,100people can yield 0.2billion yen. That’s a lot!!!
Sports Event
Every year during the October, there will be a Johnny’s Sport Event held at Tokyo Dome, free admission for those member fans. A total of 55,000 tickets attracting 1.6million members. And Johnny’s wanted those Sports products company to snatch their artists in using their products. They even worked with TBS to use hundreds of cameras to shoot every scene of their artists at front and back scenes, in their sports mood. And this included changing those sports attires revealing half-naked scene, to earn higher advertising fees.
Oic, so this is the reason why…. Now then I understand. I really admired the business-mind of Johnny san.
Artists’ treatment
Although money is earned a lot but they also know how to control these artists. They are paid in monthly salary basis and Takuya Kimura’s monthly salary is only 150,000yen, the highest among the company. New comers not only their income is low, even when staying in the hotel during the concert tour, they are not allowed to have service order. To keep them, they are given bonus but these bonuses are given once a long while only.
hontou? OMG that’s too little. It’s about SGD$2,400 a month. That’s unbelievable. How true is this? I am not very sure too. What do you think?

My OB individual project has yet to finish and others started piling and moreover, I am having SB test this coming Thursday! I haven't touched a single revision! I really must start it soon. Time is NOT ENOUGH for me...
Today, our OB lecturer briefed us again on the individual project, I finally know what he is trying to tell us. I am going to start over everything again tomorrow. I am just too exhausted to use my brain now so I simpy choose to do some typing out of SB Group assignment instead. Will have to send to my members later.
Remember this morning when we arranged to meet at 10.30am but I know I will be lated but went I reach there, I am the second person to reach, rest of them are still on their way. It's always like this. It's already 11.30am when everyone reached.
When I am on my way back home, I listen to the singles of KK and started to enjoy JOUNETSU, then all the sudden I started to think of Tsuyoshi's hairstyle during that time attending MS. I think that hairstyle is worse than the previous one though I can say its funny. 爆雜頭 is what I will named it. ^^;
Yah I am shifting the blog to my site for very short diary cos I will be busy during this month all the way till end of this semster... so I think of putting everything at a place only, easier to maintain...

Just now I went to browsed APPLE BBS and discovered that Kouichi hurted himself in the SHOCK concert, bleeding. Kouchan, please take care of yourself... Don't hurt yourself...
Next, there is a news of a 40+ director of a hospital who is crazy about Kouichi and willing to pay a large sum of money to ask Kouchan to film a CM for her hospital. She claimed that she loved Kouichi alot and had even bought a car same as Kouchan... wow... That's a great fan! I guessed I might be doing the same if I am her, I will ask Tsuyochan to help me film a CM for my company? haha... but of course not to be so agressive... i won't want to scare Tsuyochan... :)
Yah dunno what happen some topics in the forum went missing, wonder what's wrong can't identify the problem... hoped it wont occured again... I dont have time for that... ><
Going to do something together with ASH later for Doumoto Tsuyoshi... heee.... will reveal when we have it done, this is discussed over lunch just now... I am so anxious waiting for her to go online now... ASH where are you???

9:22 am - Meeting up with Haze and Ping

It's just nice meeting up with Haze and Ping. Always feeling very comfortable meeting up with them. They said I wore really trendy yesterday? Haha... not really at all. Maybe because I am not liked them in office-wear. Quite envious of them sometimes, can work and so have income. Haha... They are also studying, once a week though. They are my best friends other than my friends, who are KinKi Kids fans who won't mind me talking about KinKi Kids and even asked me about their updates. Yah, Ping passed me these (see below) and say its a Valentines gift from Tsuyo-chan... haha...
 
I am so trilled and happy to get it even though its an empty box, haha... scolded me crazy I wont mind. She has asked the boxes from her friends who has it. What's sweet about her is she even saved one piece of the sweet chocolate for me... I have these boxes but without the wordings KinKi Kids selection. haha... I told her that flavour is promoted by Tsuyochan... whats a coincidence! They saw the necklace I wore, the one with Tsuyoshi name craved on it (see above, extracted from past blog), they said its nice and said as if it was a gift from Tsuyochan. Hahaa.... How I wished it is, but....... em... never mind, I am gald I have bought it. No regrets!!! Ping even asked if there is any for Junichi.... She liked Junichi...
Then we went to Ajisen Ranmen to have our dinner, we ordered Seafood spicy ranmen set then we chatted and eat at the same time. Our usual chat will never leave our ambitions, our dreams, relationship, career, friends & studies. Yah also about the past life during our attachment period. Then we started to say about what japanese name we named ourselves during the time, Haze=Kyoko, Ping=Ryoko & Me=Tohko.... those who have known me for a long time in net will know that I am initially named as Tohko... :)
After eating, we went for a shopping spee, not me but both of them, I think they need to stay at home the next couple of days waiting for their salary from all those purchasing. They really buy a lot and many identical stuffs. LOL! Pants, clothes, bag, shoes.... We also went to the shop selling nail polish looking at the nail stickons.... I mentioned abt Tsuyoshi's painted nails earlier when we are eating as well as his hair extension. They are shocked. Haha... but they still liked Tsuyoshi. :D They said Kouichi is very 色! :P haha.... though i know they also liked Kouichi... :)
Then we travel by the NEL back home. I was tired but very happy. Really enjoy the day with them! Hoped to meet up with both of them soon again.... I am looking forward to it!!!
I have finished Sakura's layout. (look below) not sure she liked it anot... em...... btw, Sakura is quite sad.... she said she is putting a stop to Tsuyoshi project on recording for him cos' she has rec'd a returned gift mail from JE saying that they wont be accepting gift from fans for those Johnnys cos some of the gift too ex etc reason... dakara.... we decided to put it a stop, demo we will be doing a card for him... I think a simple card with our blessings will do, its the thoughts that counts!!! Like what Sakura said, its a blessings that what we have been sending to is the right place and that they didnt dump our efforts away and even resend back, telling us the reason why... :)
Today is a Valentines Day! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY & HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY! Friends forever!
Btw, will update less, need to restrain from the net in case the tel bill amounted... and also have to concentrate on my studies so I may only update here twice a week. ><|| for this month.... gotten go... school later...

Just went to HM to send the parcel. The whole stuff, putting it into registered mail cost me $9+ ><;;; wow... ex! But guess everything is worth well if she liked it. Also went to pay the bill, secretly. :P Browsing around HM to see if I can find something as friendship gift for Haze and Ping. But can't find anything nice and meaningful. Thought of going to CP but too tired, may do it later. haha... Just rec'd the disc Clayrn has helped me to burn. Doumo Arigatou Gozaimasu! :D I loved the PV of 20th century.
Ame asked me if I want to get the concert goods for SHOCK. I decided to get the pamphlet, in case I regretted the second time. I will get Sakura to help me with the G Concert pamphlet instead. :) gotten go... ja mata....

8:57 am - Japanese lessons
|
Went to Ortrum Park yesterday, bought the gift and wrapped it. My wrapping sucks so is my handwriting. Hoped she liked it. Going to post office later to send it. I was tired beat yesterday as I can’t sleep well the previous night. So yesterday is a peaceful night. Later I am going for Japanese language class again. Between, I have previously registered GJ for friend’s purpose and instead of putting it aside; I have used it to jot down my journal on Japanese lessons. Click here. No design for it as well. Yah, I also re-do a new layout for Sakura because I do not know how to edit both those she send me. ><;;; As some of them cannot be resume to the original look. If only she can send me the original one…
I went to Friendster to look for old friends. Saw my old friend, Sijie, Loo chin & Amy. Sijie used to be my head librarian. Did I mention my ECA during my secondary school phrase is librarian? I am not those active type so this ECA is the best for me. I still remember his seriousness in work, he do looked fierce in appearances but a nice person. Em, Loo chin.. my classmate and I nearly want to *box* him when he said cant remember me… Haha… *j/k* I am not that petty. Anyway, I do not belong to those type of people others can have impression on. Next is Amy. I think we have not seen each other the longest time, all the time since year 1 secondary school phrase. Time flies really fast, most of us are working, some still studying. がんばってください！~ did I have typing error? Haha… even if so I am not surprised. Please do not expect much from me who have only attended 3 lessons.
Talking back to the Japanese lessons, I am petty curious of Nakai sensai’s personal life. Haha… dun think I am a pervert. It’s just that I found him weird. Not only me, Ash too. He was always wearing blue top. Hair is as if not combed at all. When he smiled, he looked ok but when he is not, he looked…. Haha… better than say it here. :P But a very sincere sensai.
I have finally received the telephone bill, due to my massive use of the internet, the bill amounted to near SGD$80. In the figure, the most our house normal usage should be only SGD$30, so you see the reason why I am trying hard to restrain the net? How I wished I can subscribe boardband but all these have to wait till I have a job and another thing, after my pac-net subscription ended.
I am looking forward to meeting up with Haze and Ping tonight. I think we have not meet for about 2 months, really missed them a lot. I have so much things to talk to them.

10:36 am - Japanese lesson
|
Today I decided to use english to type the diary.
Ok, I have given Nakai sensai my christine name so he keep calling my name...
"Kris san...." and started to ask me questions... then followed by Ash who is sitting next to me. But luckily I am not the worst one. There is another classmate, Ken san. He was kept asking by Nakai sensai with tons of questions. Though I am not used to it and everytimes I feel messy and nervous when I am pondered with those questions in Japanese but I must admitted that it helps me to learn faster. Nakai sensai is a very funny sensai. :) Even my friend, WW who is taught by him previously say so...
In these 2 lessons we learn on a i u e o and ka ki ku ke ko then ga gi gu ge ko... and of course some vocabulary and learning on reading of numbers. That's messy reading. I keep messing up numbers liked I should say ni-ju for 20 but I pronoun as ju-ni which is 12. That's a laughter in the class. But I am much better now. But my listening is terrible. Keep listening wrongly.
I invited Ash to my house and we watched some of the vcds before leaving to Ortrum Park. We went to OG in Chinatown and bought some nail polish etc. Then we parted. I headed to meet the buyers. One of them is a girl and another one is a guy in SAF uniform. I am always crazy about guys wearing uniforms. But not all uniforms, only those liked Navy, Airforce, Policeforce type... But too bad I am rushing for classes so I just passed them the stuffs and parted. And true enough zapping the Australian Financial Planning text took me more than an hour and I was late for lesson for 30 mins. I dun like the way the lecturer teach, cant understand. Terrible teaching.
I am damned tired yesterday so went to bed right after I reached home and wash up. Starting my project again. Ja....

昨日的日文课真有趣当是我很笨，学的很慢。在学号码的时后，我就不会了。真丢脸！～
我也和Ash一起去了Orchard然后Bishan，因为她的表姐会在那里等她。高兴的是我收到Shock了可是失望的是那个是偷拍的所以质的很烂，当是光一真棒，他的舞蹈迷死人了！真不亏封为王子！～
现在要上课了！～ganbatte kudasai!~
P.S. Jean桑，要听话，多多喝水，多吃蔬菜！～记得了哟！～

|
昨天，我于妈妈一起去看婆婆，她的精神很像好多了！希望她能早日出院～
骂我神经也好，或者太浪费$$$$也好，我的确买了F Dome Concert VCD，SGD$18.95。虽然我已经有了DVD板～反正我家只有VCD播放机，所以我就毫不考虑的买了下来。
在傍晚时，我的姐姐问我们是否要去Orchard OG，我便说好。过后我们便去HEEREN 那里的SAKAE SUSHI吃。我也去了HMV，发现它们也卖 F Dome Concert VCD，SGD$19.95。但是它们送KINKI’s 的海报！～真不甘心～ 好后回没在那儿买，我是愿意付多SGD$1元来拿那张海报～
现在要上日文课程，再见～

This afternoon when I was lunching with my mum, my hand phone rung and it was my small uncle then I handed the phone to my mum. I then saw the stunned expression in my mum’s face. She said grandma is admitted to the hospital. Her eyes are red. I know my mum is really upset about it. She was confused and tears started rolling down. The first thing I do is to contact my sister because she was around the area. We consoled my mum saying that everything will be fine, don’t be panic. Later, we managed to contact my uncle (the one living with my grandma), he said that he was unable to wake my grandma up this morning so he called the ambulance to send her to hospital to see what’s happening. My mum is still anxious and very upset.
I want to company my mum to the hospital but I need to meet someone at Bugis MRT station to pass the stuffs to her and anyway, the visiting time is at 5pm so I suggested to wait a little while till 4pm so I can meet the persons and then later traveled together on my sister’s boyfriend car to the hospital. Then I met the two persons and handed the stuffs to them. One of them did not have a change so I suggested her to pay me SGD$20 first and I will email her my bank account and she will transfer the balance to my account. I trusted her so I hoped she will do it too. Later at the hospital, not sure is it due to the past SARS reason or the recent AI, they only allowed a few people to visit so only my mum is allowed to enter and I was to wait downstairs at the lobby. I waited for 45minutes and then we went home in my dad’s car.
I asked my mum how is grandma. She said that my grandma’s blood level is too low so she is in a slight coma and dakara she can’t wait up in the morning. My grandma was recently diagnosed with diabetes and so my uncle is controlling her diet but we did not know that the control has resulted to this. But at least my mum is feeling relieved that grandma is ok. I just hoped that my mum won’t worry much caused her health isn’t that good too. I am worrying for her instead. I hoped that she is able to catch some sleep tonight, though I know she won’t be able to do so. Maybe me too…
My last trip is to Hougang MRT station to meet the last buyer of the day, it turns up to be a guy. Ok, forgive me for being ignorance but I thought that HE is a girl caused of his name. Maybe English name is deceiving. He said that he is interested in taking up Japanese and he knows that I am taking too, I said I just took and not so sure but I can send him the homepage url of the school I am in and he maybe able to have some references. Just now I also just done some job-searching for Racheal, hoped that it will be able to help her. Em… I need to pm him and email her now. Ok, got to go… Tired and long day!~

刚才我在其中一个KinKi Kids' 网页看到 KinKi Kids 24/7 G Tour 的报导。也在那里下截了KinKi Kids' 所唱的英文歌曲。虽然不是他们两的声音，当是我还是决定慢慢的一个个的下截到完。只是因为我想知道他们到低在演唱会里唱那些歌！听 Ame 和 Huicin 说他们两唱得超棒！～这我可没怀疑过哟～ 所以，我只是下截了Play That Funky Music (刚独唱) 和September (光一独唱) 便停了，因为system busy. 我看我下次才把 FANTASY (两人合唱) 和 When A Man Loves A Woman (刚独唱) 给下截完。再见!
感想: 写华文的日记真难，但是好好玩哟。因为我可以表达的更好！

8:10 am - Sound of colors

I am watching “Sounds of color” and “Anna in Kungfu land” yesterday. The former is a romance story while the latter is a comedy story. I particularly liked the story of the former, one of the best romance stories I have watched. It have 2 parts of the story, talking about 2 pair of lovers and how a “fairy”, or perhaps a love cupid will sound better, helps to bring them together. And yah btw, I loved Tony leung's acting alot. He looked dashing as compared to his age too. Still so charming!
Later I am going to meet YW to pass the dramas she bought later in the evening. She had bought “The rose”, “Fighting Girl” & “Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003” from me. I am quite unwilling to sell “The rose” caused I liked the drama but at the same time even I have it at home, I wont be watching it the second time. That’s the reason to sell. It’s different from those KinKi Kids’ dramas I have bought and kept.
Yesterday I found several important documents on “success factors of breadtalk”, so now I think I can head towards my individual project for OB and then to the group project in SB. SB test is approaching soon and I found that I have not started any of the revision nor the project, all blamed for my laziness. And next Monday, it will be my first lesson in the Japanese class. Really must “Jia You”! I won’t lose out to anyone!
In addition, these couple of nights before I can sleep, my mind is full of story. Haha… yah I have thoughts to do some Chinese novel story when I have time. But I think its impossible due to my heavy schedules. But I really hoped to have some time for it before my interest change fast.

Yokatta, Karen and I finally found a group for Organizational Behaviour Group Proj. I am still worrying about it and now I can rest my mind and concentrate with my individual one first.
Yesterday, my group for Small Business has also changed our topic from Lips café to BreadTalk because it seems much easier to gather information in terms of their success factors.
I have sold of the Gakkou no sensai (with English subtitles) to a student. The actual price I sold is SGD$13 and in the end, I sold her at $10. Daijoubu anyway, I managed to promote Tsuyochan’s drama but selling to others and what’s more, she is a Malay.
I have just joined the Apple’s BBS and have fun there. My id is mkk, I tried to chat there using Chinese wordings. It’s hard as many of the Chinese characters han yu pin yin I have already long forget but managed to do it slowly. Its nice to earn some KK tokens and use them to buy downloads. That seems funny right but that’s how they operated. They even have bank and bank interest and I just opened an account. HAHA!
Now I am reading stuffs on Libra Horoscope from a site that Aki quoted. Will continue browsing... quite true for me so wanna to understand me better, read them. Hee!
Going off now, I’m tired!
