3:37 am - Hey!!!
|
I'm goinng to bed in a minute, I couldn't sllep last night, I finally fell asleep at about 9am and slept until 2pm but it stuffed me around, I hate when that happens, I'm not a good sleeper at the best of times but 9am is friggin' ridiculous!
I saw Finding Nemo today, we were supposed to go yesterday but Karen had to work until 7pm so we had the baby, then we went to Molly Maguire's because it was Thursday and listened to some good live music with Julie. Nemo kicked so much ass, Ellen DeGeneres was so, so, so brilliant as Dory.
Hopefully Meagan will be online tomorrow morning, I miss her like hell, damn computer!
I'm getting a new cellphone tomorrow.
This week's Friday Five 1. Are you going to school this year?
Yes.
2. If yes, where are you going (high school, college, etc.)? If no, when did you graduate?
I start College at the end of October.
3. What are/were your favorite school subjects?
PD/H/PE, Chemistry, Biology, English, Society & Culture,
4. What are/were your least favorite school subjects?
Math
5. Have you ever had a favorite teacher? Why was he/she a favorite?
Miss Cornett, because she was a fantastic listener, and really HOT!

2:35 am - Here I am, apologizing again... but what a way to say sorry, a whole new layout!!!!!
|
I'm going to give you my life the abridged version for the last two weeks and swear yet again that I will never go this long without updating, ever again, ever.
One of the reasons I haven't been posting that much is that I have been pretty sick with a severe mouth infection that took a two weeks to clear up, varying throat infections and other miseralbe messes, so I haven't really been in the mood to post anything, secondly I now as I may have mentioned before have broardband so for the first time in forever I have been on a download limit which I managed to exceed by the 14th of August, whoops so I have only been able to get online at off-peak time (12-6am). With my being ill I have just been going online for 15 seconds and going to bed. Finally, my laptop has a different color setup to my desktop so I have been unable to see my previous layout, which I fixed by changing it entirely, I have been kind of depressed lately mainly because I have been sick for three weeks so I made the new layout really bright.
Let me see...
I've been having to spend at least one day a week with my damn grandparents ever since my grandad got out of hospital, he has to seed lots of doctors and because neither of my grandparents can drive anyomore they need me or my parents to drive them to all their appointments. I really do like and love my grandfather and it is quite upsetting to suddenly see him being old and frail, like he has had lung problems forever but he used to be able to do things like look after the garden and now everything is totally overrun and her can barely walk 10 feet without needing to sit down. My grandmother and I continue to have the same issues we have had for the last 21 years but I have to admit that I feel sorry for her and I'm trying very hard to be nice.
Meagan has had to go back to school and because I can't get online during the day I have only spoken to her 4 times in the last two weeks, it's so lonely being online without her, I miss her more and more everyday but seemingly as consolation for that I have been spending heaps of time with Julie lately. She comes out here at least once a week and it's just so cool to be spending time with here, she even wants to move out here to the sticks, can't figure out why but if she did that would be amazing.
I have been to the movies twice since the last time I posted, I saw Down With Love which was just amazing, I loved it so much, firstly it had the amazing David Hyde Pierce in it and I just adore period pieces. Especially more modern period pieces that are set in the 1950's and 1960's. I also saw American Pie: The Wedding and to say the least it was dissapointing.
I'm going to see Finding Nemo tomorrow and I can't wait!

6:33 pm - Rightio...
|
I am so lazy I haven't updated this thing in 9 days so this is going to be a LONG entry...
On the 28th of July, I had to go to my father's parents for my birthday, I knew that they were getting me a watch and I was dreading it because my Grandmother dosen't always have the best taste but she was still pissed off about the laptop thing and thankfully decided that she didn't want anything to do witn the picking of the watch, so my grandfather who pays attention to me when I talk picked me a beautiful silver watch that has an oval-shaped pink face and some small pink stones in the band. I love it!!! Most of my dad's family came over, except for my cousin Mark who was working and his wife Jenny who isn't speaking to my Aunty Ann or Brenda. I'm not exactly speaking to my grandmother either which makes family gatherings interesting to say the least, then on the Wednesday my grandfather had to have surgery on his prostate which didn't go very well, he keeps getting blood clots and is now at home with a catherter still in.
Then in the middle of all this my other computer started messing up and ended up having to have the hard drive reformatted, $200 later it came back and is now working, then I had to network the computers together which because of a incompatible modem connection took much longer than it should have. The whole time my dad was getting really stressed out and it was not fun for me to say the least but now I have 2 hella fast computers and basically I'm so happy it's amazing.
I'll post more later... I'm off to talk to Meagan before she goes to bed...

2:43 am - Today BLAH!!!!
|
Well today started off well but then my mother decided that the six baskets of washing that had been collecting on her bedroom floor for the last two weeks just had to put away, then and there, which was a long and boring task in itself... then my mom came into my room and decided it was a pigsty and took all clothes out of my closet and the dresser and made me sort them all out, throw out all the clothes I don't wear anymore, hang all the clothes I still do wear up properly, vacumn the floor, change the linen, clean out the top of my wardorbe, it took five hours and I still want to kill my mom. Then just to add to my annoyance then internet connection decided to fuck up royally and repeatedly connect at fucked up speeds like 28kbps on the upside my ADSL will be ready to go on Midnight, Friday, YEEHAH!!!! I am in the process of starting a new website and finally updating all the other ones I have because my old computer was fucking up with the FTP. My new website will be about my fave SNL performers who are (hopefully not suprisingly) all WOMEN! I'm sorry if I accidently leave double spaces etc. in this post because I'm still getting the keyboard settings right and I still have the repeat rate too high. TTFN Jacquie

 You are homosexual.
What is your sexual orientation? brought to you by Quizilla
An oldie from fridayfive.org
1. What was/is your favorite subject in school? Why?
PD/H/PE, because I always liked my teachers, I liked the rare opportunities to do some prac classes in senior year and I liked the combination between Biology and Sociology in the course work.
2. Who was your favorite teacher? Why?
Mrs. Cornett, my PD/H/PE teacher in senior year and my Family and Community Studies teacher in junior and senior year because a) she is entirely hot, she looks A LOT like Tina Fey and b) she was entirely devoted to making sure I did well and put in a lot of extra time especially when I missed almost all of 4th term, junior year through illness and TAFE exams.
3. What is your favorite memory of school?
My favorite memory or what I can remember of it is junior year retreat, I went with all of my friends and got totally drunk for three days... FUN!
4. What was your favorite recess game?
Basketball... I sucked but Ienjoyed it.
5. What did you hate most about school?
MATH!!!!

4:01 am - Igot my new comp, I'll be getting ADSL within the next 2 or so days...
|
No update on my actual life tonight, well this computer is my life anyway... It kicks so much ass!!!! I love windows XP, the user profiles are great and give me so much control over how much the rest of my family can do with the computer! And it is so fast, I was so used to waiting 10 minutes for Windows ME, fuck that OS to hell to start and this takes like 45 seconds, all my programs work like they should now and I just love this thing like Karen Walker loves booze! I also really need to post on my other journal but since it's 4am I'll do it tomorrow... TTFN Jacquie

3:53 am - Cool survey from FridayFive.Org (Even though it's Tuesday)
|
1. If your life were a movie, what would the title be?
The life and Times of a Lesbian TV Addict
2. What songs would be on the soundtrack?
What Is Love? - Haddaway (A tribute to my SNL obsession) Ruby's Arms - Supreme Music Program (Because I love it so very much) Innocent Eyes - Delta Gooodrem (Because it is a really good song that defines how I feel about my life right now) Tiny Dancer - Elton John (Just because it is one of my fave songs) Asshole - Dennis Leary (In every part of the movie with my dad's family...) If Icould Turn Back Time - Cher (Which will be sung by me impersonating Jack McFarland)
3. Would it be a live-action film or animated? Why?
It would be live action because despite the recent advances in animation it is impossible to get the subtleness of human expression required for a biopic of my life, all of the hatred, fear and loathing in my father's family, all the blaze non-eventness of my lifestye from my mother's family, that needs live action and of course all of my loving with you!
4. Casting: who would play you, members of your family, friends, etc?
Cheri Oteri - Jacqueline Hope (me) Molly Shannon - Meagan Loucks (you) Megan Mullally - Vicki Hope (my mom) Tom Hanks (With Castaway hair) - Barry Hope (my dad) Delta Goodrem - Gabby Hoope (My sister) Tina Fey - Erin Connor (My best friend)
5. Describe the movie preview/trailer.
It would start with me in a flashback to now, me waking up in the morning and running towards my computer to be with you, then the nextt scene will just be my dad screaming in horror but you won't know why, then in the next scene you and I will be getting married and that would be it for the teaser trailer.

2:10 pm - My 21st birthday...
|
Well in case you missed me mentioning it 2000 times in the last month, last Saturday was my 21st birthday and basically I got so drunk that it's taken me a week to figure out exactly what happened. Well I got out of bed at 12pm as usual and went downstairs to get my digital camera, my major present, then I got a few small things off mom and dad and my sister, including the necklace and earings I'm wearing in all the pics I took and the roses that will appear in one of the pics below that I took with afore mentioned digital camera, my dad also brought me A LOT of BOOZE, God love him! Then my grandparents arrived at about 1pm, they came down from Forster, a 6 hour drive on a good day right now, for ONE NIGHT! Don't ask me why they didn't stay longer but anyway... they gave me $100 which I had already spent on a new pair of desert boots onm Thusday, they were on sale at Colorado, $70 instead of $110, Dean was supposed to be coming around at some point during the afternoon but then he didn't come because he left Teena's house too late. Then I just sat around getting drunk, until we left for the restraunt, Chillis at Campbelltown, I went with my grandparents to show them how to get there and that was pretty scary because my grandfather is 73, has really bad vision and was blind drunk, because he always is... when we got to the restraunt we met up with Julie, Barry, Ryan, Laura, Danny and Hannah, they gave me another $100 which I had also already spent on "Live From New York: An Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live". Which I haven't actually gotten yet, it's still on order and a really nice silver bracelet. Then we sat down talked ate and had more drinks, then Lisa and Kirsty managed to make it back from the city in time to come to the restraunt, even though they were a little late, they gave me a ruby necklace, it's really pretty. After we finished eating everyone came back to my place and we had more drinks and played around with my Eye Toy for my PS2, it's really funny watching people trying to play games that require good coordination when they are drunk, then my sister got out her guitar and turned the karaoke machine on... Needless to say pretty much everyone was drunk enough to get up and sing, me included, it was so much fun! We stayed up until 3am (I went to bed early...), I know it sounds really boring and your probably thinking why didn't I go out and do something but I would have much rather spent the day with my close friends. Below are some pics... TTFN Jacquie

2:18 am - HELLA COOL NEWS!!!
|
I know I need to do like a week of updates which I will right after I post this, I'M GETTING MY LAPTOP, either tomorrow or Friday! It's not the Apple that I wanted it but it's still pretty good. It's a Hewlett Packard with 512mb DDR RAM and a 40GB hard drive, kick ass graphics capability and a ethernet network card, so if you know anything at all about computer's you'll know that I'm also getting BROADBAND!!!! 256kb/64kb, YEEHAH! I also got a new hard drive, graphics card and RAM for this piece of crap, so it's not actually a piece of crap anymore. I love when my mom snaps, she gets the shits really bad because she has being whinging at my dad for months to do something which he avoids, like fixing the computer or the car. Last time this happened was about Auguslt last year and my mom had been whining at my dad for months to get his car fixed because she was driving around in a 2-door Hyundi Excel with a baby (Liam,), a teenager and me. My dad didn't do it and my mom went up to his work one day and had a big hissy fit and so he got the money to a) fix the old car, a 1994 Buick LaSabre which I am now the proud owner of and b) buy her a new Buick LaSabre, he ended up with the Excel. Friggin brilliant for me beccause there is NO WAY IN HELL that i could have afforded to buy a car then. So back to the computer, this morning my mom was trying to play The Sims and it wouldn't work because of memory issues, so she rings my dad at work and tells him that she is getting the laptop for me TODAY! I was fucking going bllistic because I thought I would have to wait until Christmas to get it. So we go to Domayne and Harvey Norman and Bing Lee and we found a pretty good deal, $1500 for a Pioneer with the same specs as the computer I'm getting, then we go to his work and Lisa who is a friend of mine (and the rest of my family), is on the early shift with my dad, so she suggests ringing her daughter and another friend of mine who works at a computer place and just happens to be fucking (litterally) the married boss, so he does it for me for $1000! Which left me with enough money to get this computer fixed and pay for the ethernet modem too! I'm going to be on broadband sometime in the next two weeks! It takes that long for the fuckers at Telstra to change the exchange line to ADSL. TTFN Jacquie

2:04 am - I've been so fucking lazy with this thing lately...
|
< rant > Have you ever noticed that if you go on vacation for even the shortest amount of time, you miss out on everything? Parties, online happenings, everything, I find it so fucking annoying. I swear to GOD that next time I go on vacation, I'm taking my computer with me, if I don't have my laptop by then anyway and I'll pay my grandmother (I always go to my grandmother's house for vatcation... BLAH!) to use her effing phoneline to get online, anmd I will hunt down the person who is responsible for Virgin Moblie's crappy reception and KILL them, the only place my cell has worse reception is, well here. < /rant > My life has been pretty boring the last week or so, most of my firends both online and off are on vacation right now, so I've been hanging out at home playing Playstation, watching SNL and wishing my friends were around. I still have an earache, it is getting really, really annoying. It's my birthday in four days, YEEHAH! I'm 21! I'm going out with my family and close friends to dinner and mabye a bar with my friends. Saturday is also Meagan's birthday, I haven't spoken to her in a week and I'm missing her really badly, I hope that she can get online on or before our birthday. My uncle Dean rung up tonight to tell us that he is no longer coming to my birthday party because he is back with his girlfriend Teena and is going out with her instead, my grandmother wants to kill him right now... I have an earache, I keep getting earaches at night, every night since I came back to Sydney, which was three days ago, I asked a doctor that my dad works with and he checked them out for me, my ears are thankfully not infected (yet.) The doctor says it's because I've been living at sea level for a while, now I'm back up in the mountians which causes problems with pressure building up in the middle ear and added to that the extreme cold makes the issue much worse. It will fix itself in about a week, IT'S BLOODY ANNOYING THOUGH!

After been forced to go wothout any net access for TWO ENTIRE days I'm back! Still on vacation but with net access, damn weekend! Friday night I went out for tea to the best Chinese restraunt in the world! The Happy Garden in Forster, NSW, they have the best Lemon Chicken ever! Then I hired some videos, just weekly ones, I got Scary Movie to get a SNL fix, Cheri Oteri is in it but the idiot clerk gave me Scary Movie 2 by accident which has no Cheri Oteri, so I watched it anyway and took it back the next day to get the right DVD! Then on Saturday, Kmart which is like the only departmemt store up here had a sale and I got A Night At The Roxbury on DVD for $18.75 instead of $35.95, YEEHAH! I love that movie SO MUCH, I used to have it on VHS but my damn player broke the tape. I have watched both A Night At The Roxbury and Scary Movie about 50 times each. Saturday night was slo fucking boring, I spent most of it in my sister's room, TALKING TO HER!! How fucking desperate was I? Then on Sunday we went to Kmart again and I managed to get a copt of the new Harry Potter book! YAY! I have read about 100 pages so far and it kicks ass! I also got Artimus Fowl and the Eternity Code by Eion Colfer, that's a really kick ass book too. On Sunday night I played cards with my parents, grandparents and my sister, we played Chase the Ace and Acey-Ducey before my sister went to bed because they ARE THE ONLY GAMES SHE KNOWS HOW TO PLAY, she is such a dumbass! then after she went to bed, we played Eucha and Cooncan, yay! FUN GAMES!, I won about $4.50 it should have been like $10.50 but my dad lied his cheating ass off all night. Today I had to go to Nabiac to get the pillows my mom and dad left there on Saturday night when they went to Tracey's birthday party, DUMBASS'S! then I went into Taree and did a bit of shopping, before cloming back here via Halliday's Point where there ias this BEAUTIFUL block of land my mom wants to buy, it's at the top of a mountian and you have 360 degree views, then I got online and the computer I got had AIM! So I'm chatting to Meagan right now! I couldn't be happier! TTFN Jacquie

I'm using an internet cafe to post this and everything else for the next week, the one I used to use has now closed so I found a new one, the computers seem pretty fast so thats good. I'm going to rent some DVD's when I get back to the Village, I'm in the town right now, hello A Night at The Roxbury and every other SNL related movie or other DVD that I can find! A Night At The Roxbury is one of my favorite movies EVER! I'm wtriting a lot of fanfic on my old, old computer that I gve to my grandparents, Word and solitaire are like the only programs on that damn thing, I have a new Will & grace/X-Files crossover fic and a original (of sorts) fic starring one Miss Tina Fey. 2:09 am - Vacation:(

Alight, I'm going on vacation tomorrow which is a good thing, but I'll only have VERY limited net access, which is a god awful thing. I'm going to be gone for an entire week, how will I cope? and I'll only have one ER episode, one Will & Grace episode and NO SNL or Frasier, GOD, my grandparents NEED CABLE!!! I'm going down to Blockbuster tomorrow morning and hiring every Best of SNL DVD they have! i'm going to miss Leelee, Adam and especially my luvah Meagan so much! While I remember, I have started two new journals, one devoted solely to SNL Rantin' which can be found at http://www.blurty.com/~livefromnewyork and another for whining about W&G which is located at http://www.blurty.com/~beaverhausen I'm going to try my hardest to keep this thing updated while I'm gone!
