11:59am: Around Here
I moved my blog a long time ago. I was keeping up the look and feel on this one for a while.. but it's really a pain. So... this one went to a generic template. Then I started getting comment spam on this one.. so I deleted all the posts. They were all imported to the new blog though so if you'd like to see the recent stuff, visit me there. :)

12:27pm: This blog has moved!
It's official! I'll still be making some changes to the template here and such.. and friends only entries will continue to go on blurty for a little while.. BUT.. all new stuff will go to the new blog, starting today :)

4:30pm: Um yeah.. the site again
So I got most of my templates straightened out on the Movable Type system. There are still tweaks to be made before everything gets moved over though.. and then one of the big reasons I WENT to moveable type was because of some of the features I can use - and I still need to figure all those out. It could be another week before I change over. But I'm excited! :) It's WAY easier to use than blurty every will be and FAR more features than Blogger. I dig. :)

10:17am: XML
WooHoo!!!!

I figured out how to render XML to an html page.. which means I can export all of my blurty entries in XML and manipulate them on my site!!! :) Here is what I've been working on. Granted, it will be much more graceful looking when I'm done. Baby steps.

I'm still not sure how I'm going to handle it though. The end goal is to get EVERYTHING onto MY webserver so that I control it all. Then create a controlled access blog and a regular blog there. I think I want to create one big seamless archive page with ALL of my archives in one place and make all of the entries look the same. Maybe divide THAT archive page up according to 'time periods'... make it my main blog index.

I'm also not sure what to do about friends only and/or private posts. I think I'll have to exclude them.. but thats an awful lot to get rid of.. which makes me want to just leave the blurty entries here and maybe just use XML to integrate them into my index and archives.

Yes.. we would be here for weeks. This is so odd though. I was just thinking yesterday, as I wrote the 'dear diary' entry that I should really immerse myself in writing more about ME than my life. I'd like to go there again.

It all started on a blustery day in 1978 in Grand Forks, Dorth Dakota....
