I took that photo :) As well as check out. http://www.shufflezine.tv/ Photos section for the Shuffle Loud Part, all are my images :)))
I'm doing stuff for that magazine now as well so I really enjoy they used my work.
I'm exhausted today. Drove out to Joe's warehouse, sounds weird . Crown Case Company has it's own warehouse now and other employees!!! anyway... drove out there as he told me he wanted to see me for lunch. We never do lunch dates anymore so it was nice to see him during the day. Cuddle a little on one of his big bad cases eat some Thai food, talk gossip on all our social circle and catch up a little while both of us were awake. Lord I love that man.
Do not love being this exhausted. Tomorrow starts my really long work schedule and probably the biggest stint of shows since 2006. YIKES!

Your Word is "Fearless"
|

You see life as your one chance to experience everything, and you just go for it!
You believe the biggest risk is being afraid and missing out on something amazing.
Sometimes your fearlessness means you're daring. You enjoy risky activities.
And sometimes your fearlessness means you're courageous. You're brave enough to do the right thing, even when it's scary.

The holidays were really nice around here. Stressful, sure. With the business' is that the plural? I'm too tired to really care or wonder THAT much but either way. With Crown Case Co. in a new warehouse.. and Shutter16 taking off as well. It's hard around the holidays let alone getting ready for Xmas with family in from out of town and five children... overall it paid off. It worked out well, it was nice. I received and gave some really outstanding gifts this year. As you go in relationships you can just gauge better what people want, need and want-need as I call it. Fun fun. Some of my favorite gifts are so simple but I never quite gave away what I liked the most so I get all or at least some of them again!
Anyway, I like to play my life out in photos. For a while I stopped taking photos everyday. I just did them for "work" I noticed I lost a lot of my creativity. If you do not "use" you "lose" it's very true. The more I used to shoot the more I'd push myself for a better shot. A more creative shot.. "THE SHOT". So now.. I'm back. I've entered into several 365 day projects and just doing it for myself as well as my art and my business. This SHOULD be fun.I'm sure some days I will want to pull my hair out, will have to crawl to the camera blurry eyed exhaustion just to shutter release one still. One still to represent that day, my art, that moment. Here is to hoping.
Xmas through a lens. I didn't photograph the holidays that much surprisingly it was just so hectic and I had just done a stint of like 20 shows in a row and finally had a moment to breathe. I'm a house photographer at The Milestone, oldest music venue on the eastern side of the country. Biggest shithole, best off road shows, hardest lighting imaginable. But I do every show and get stuff for my portfolio to grow. I love it, I live it. It has become me.
anyway... xmas through my lens.
 Grandparents, son, all the grandkids.

( On to the rest )
I've had my share of ups and downs. More ups than downs. I'm positive on the New Year, I am to the point I refuse to accept anything else. I'm pushing.. on .. and pushing up.! entertain me

subject I'm to update once a day for a year. | Dear Journal,
I've missed you. I have no outlet anymore. My art is flourishing. I've done some amazing shows. Things have gotten so big and so fast in what people see as a long period of time but with five kids and a whole house and other house to watch... time really flies. I'm up to my eyeballs in work and building sites and stuff. I'm drowning. happily drowning.
Forgive me for being gone so long.

subject awake again..... mood: hungry
| I have a craving for a grilled ham & cheese sandwich now. Aargh.
Woke up earlier from the cat going on the rampage about something....then I remembered that I needed to send my branch mgr an e-mail about some things my site needs replaced....then I've been too lazy to get off the compoooter & i've been sitting here since then just surfing around and listening to the heater fan.
Then...the above mentioned craving kicked in. (on sourdough, if possible).
My neighbors have some music playing. It has a "thump...thump...thump..."type of beat to it that one can feel through the wall. Not too loud, but not easy to ignore either. Not sure if the headache I feel forming is because of the noise or because of the tummy being empty and it's having an agreement with my brain to get my attention in such cases. It's not nice when my internal organs conspire against me like this. Maybe I can find some bread with lots of fiber in it. That should keep it quiet for a while....

| It was on this day in 1882 that the Irish playwright Oscar Wilde docked in New York. Customs asked him if he had anything to declare. Oscar Wilde replied, "Nothing but my genius."
Wilde had come to the United States for a lecture tour, which was set up as a publicity stunt for a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta called Patience (1881), which poked fun at the Aesthetic movement. The producers of the operetta were concerned that the United States wouldn't know what Aestheticism was, since it was a British movement, and that they wouldn't think Patience was funny. So in order to educate the general public about Aestheticism before trying to satirize it, the producers arranged for a lecture tour from England's most prominent Aesthete personality, Oscar Wilde.
Many people thought Wilde was ridiculous. But his lecture tour did well in surprising places, like the rough mining town of Leadville, Colorado, where the miners loved him, and he enjoyed himself, as well. It was there in Leadville that he saw a sign at the local saloon that said, "Please do not shoot the pianist. He is doing his best." Oscar Wilde later said that it was "the only rational method of art criticism I have ever come across."

| Let the New Years Resolutions begin. Yes, it's that time of the year again. I think I Will start with repeats from last year. Okay, let's be honest and say they are repeats from pretty much every year in the past. :p 1. Lose Weight. 2. Spend less money.
With that said, I will start with my beginning of the year weigh in. I am embarrassed to say, I think I am back up to around the highest I have weighed. My body must be comfortable at this weight because it always seems to peak right in this area. At least in the times that I have been weighing myself I have never weighed more than 5 pounds more than I do now. The embarrassement means that I won't be sharing my starting weight for the time beng.

| Today is New Year's Eve, the last day of the year.
In Mexico, people eat one grape with each of the 12 clock chimes at midnight, and make a wish for the coming year. In Venezuela, they wear yellow underwear for a year of good luck. In Japan, people eat soba because long thin noodles symbolize longevity, and at midnight, temple bells ring 108 times, matching the 108 attachments in the mind that need to be purified before the New Year.
At midnight in Greece, families cut a cake called a vasilopita, which has a coin baked inside; whoever gets the coin will have a lucky year.
In this country, the most famous celebration is in New York City's Times Square, where up to one million people gather each New Year's Eve to watch a ball drop.
