12:38a - You guys need anything else before I go back to do everything?
Good evening (soon to be morning)...I haven't posted in a while, have I? Well - let's review the past few days right quick here. First, the past five days (Sunday-Thursday) can be summed up with a simple "Taco Bell" because that is all I have done. I will toss in random details of the days in this update, but for the most part, that is my life. I quit FedEx, I have to talk to Larry today because apparently he's got something to say to me...poor Josh playing middle-man. I'll call today. Tonight yet I also have to make some CDs for Dyane and Wade because I'm like that. Anyways, the past few days...
Sunday- closer, stayed late (6:30am) to clean ceiling tiles, spent three hours climbing a ladder, being covered in plaster and scrubbing tiles, listened to Taco Bell radio for those three hours, heard the following - imagine the 20 worst songs of the 80's minus hair bands...now, think of th 20 worst 80's bands NOT doing the songs you already thought of...now have those bands do Christmas songs and listen for three hours. Yeah - it was that bad. But today I heard "My Girl" so I'm not sure what the deal is with that random one good song.
Monday - worked drive-thru, went fine. Big inspection, corporate and everything, went well - we done did good. Not much happened that I recall.
Tuesday - worked front-counter, got bitched out by Sue for doing lettuce wrong, got asked by a child where the presents came from (we have Christmas decorations up), I said that they just showed up one night...yeah Nathan, thinking quick for the kid.
Wednesday - Patti day, she bitched at me about moving too slow after some horrible lunch with me on food and yeah...I was tired. The power was out until 9:30, so they were way behind and yeah...it was a bad day for Taco Bell. Oh well.
Thursday - that's today! Wow! Today I did it all. I got there twenty minutes early for some breakfast (empanda...carmapple empanda). I punched in early because they got hit and I stayed in and busy (no break or even sitting down) until 9:30...now that's what I call work. It was fun though, I was running all over the place, I did front, prep, made food, drive-thru, cleaned, fried...everything - it was all me. Sue flipped out on me again about not washing my hands before putting on gloves to make food and made sure I understood why it was a problem and blah blah blah...I swear - since I've gotten back she's been so hard on me, it's ridiculous. Oh well - I'll get over it. I guess I really am a manager in training now though. Good day though - lot's of hours, I'm on pace for OT this week...this makes Nathan happy because I'm hoping to end with about 50 hours this week (right now I'm looking at 42....need to stay late a little more, Saturday night looks good).
So that was my week at work, I have tomorrow off - here's what's on tap for tomorrow. I have to go bowling because I have to get my Fusion drilled and practice with it because...guess who's coming to town? Doug! My brother Doug from California is coming here, to Michigan! We're going to go bowling! On Saturday he'll get here...so exciting. Anyways, tomorrow mom also wants to go Christmas shopping (**sigh**), I think I might skip out though and try to get her to do it with me on Monday instead...too busy. I also want to see "Closer" - I might see it tomorrow, any Kalamazoo-ers want to join me? Whenever is fine. IM me if you're interested, or call the cell - you know, whatever. I got my Secret Santa stuff...**shifty eyes** I'll get working on that in a little bit. Okay - next business, who wants to go to Indio, California on April 30 and May 1? Thought so. Tickets will be around $150 plus getting there and hotel and all that stuff, but this is a must see...Coachella is the indie rock fesitval of the year, we have to go. In other RK news - Jenny Lewis is releasing a "soul" album on Conor's label, Team Love, in July. Umm...there's other stuff, but I forget, so I'll drop it. It looks like Saturday is getting complicated, I have a lot to do that day including work which might get moved around for other stuff and yeah...I'll have to figure something out for that. Oh well - we'll see. That's it, hope this wasn't too long, because now I'm going to do football incase I am too busy over the weekend so hold on...
Last Week: LWWWWWWWWWWLWWLW (13-3!) Wow - best record this year by far, put be at 93-83...nice. Now this week let's keep it going; Detroit over Arizona, Atlanta over TB, Miami over Buffalo (please), NO over Carolina, Cinci over Baltimore, NY Jets over Houston, Minnesota over Chi-town, NE over Cleveland, San Fran loses to St. Louis, Indy over Tennessee, San Diego taking it over Denver, KC over Oakland, Philly over Green Bay, NY Giants winning in Washington, Pittsburgh over Jacksonville, Dallas loses to Seattle. That's it - night.
