| Posting of the rules |
[14 Jul 2003|11:19am] |
We've been having issues with players. I'm re-posting the rules. Everyone needs to read this. Not putting it in cut tags. Please respond to this post saying you understand the rules. Otherwise you will be put on a list. (for those on vacation and such, when you get back I hope you'll read this.)
The Rules Here's the important stuff, so read it. If you don't you won't know the first thing about CS. So yeah. Read. If you break a rule you will recieve a warning, break it again and ciao my friend.
1. Your character journal should be for CS alone, if you join unrealated communties, you will be removed.
2. Obviously, you can't kill of a character, or attempt to. So be nice.
3. It's your own job to make friends. So comment, IM (it's why we require you have an IM). A complete buddy list will be avaliable for download.
4. When you post, do it in your personal journal. Posts in the community journal should only be mod posts & introductory posts. All OOC posts should be made in the OOC Community. EA users should be able to view all user posts from their friends page. Free users should be able to view all user posts from the community friends page. Posts should be of some substance, mere "::lurk::" posts are a little annoying to some people, so please keep others in mind.
5. You must remain active to remain in the community. Journals that go inactive after 1 week will be removed. This method will be similar to pop-life's. The journals will be checked on a specific day of the week, a post will be made in the community journal warning those who are currently inactive, and you will be given 24-48 hrs to update. After that, asuming you haven't posted, you will be removed.
6. AOL Chat talk will not be tolerated. Example "Hey WUT R U ^ 2?" Type like a normal person please. Take into consideration grammer and spelling. No you won't be kicked out if you have typos and some slang is fine, but we expect a level of maturity of our members.
7. Anything that will clutter up the friends page (long survey's, numerous pictures etc ...) please put in the cut tags.
8. We are a slash friendly community. Your welcome to do what and whomever you wish.
9. Role play is fun. We like fun, but be realistic with your play.
10. CS relationships may not be the same as RL relationships. So if your character is married in real life, they don't have to be here, this is up to you.
11. Respect pre-existing CS relationships. If you join as a spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend of a pre-existing character they may have another main squeeze, so you'd just have to deal.
12. If your journal is friends only, please be sure to add all member of CS to your friends list. We realize free accounts only allow 10 friends (I feel your pain, I do) so keep that in mind as well.
13. Anything OOC should stay OOC, including conflict. Any conflict should also be brought up to the mods in the moderator journal. But wait, there's more. We realize some conflicts are personal and you might not want to share them with the whole community. To contact the moderators out of open forum we've set up a AIM account - CelebritySkinMod and an e-mail address.
14. All moderation will be done through the Moderator Journal. This isn't to say you can't know who your mod's are, it's just to keep it clean.
15. Do not IM characters before they have been added.
Grounds for removal include: - Breaking any rule set by the moderators
- Us recieving more than 10 complaints from other members about the level of respect you give, no we will not remove you just because someone doesn't like you. But If unfortunately if more that 10 people are having problems with you we have to do something about it. (and no, we will not give out names of who had complained about you.)
- Talking back or being rude to a moderator
- Not having the community listed as a friend
- Not having the disclaimer on your info
- Spaming people who don't want to be spammed. (some people don't care some people do.
- Joining unrelated communities (rpg_ads & promos and stuff like that is ok)
*Note, originally we were giving 3 warnings on every offense, but others have special circumstances.
**Note #2, removal is the choice of the moderators, majority ruling. And of course we are subjected to this rule. All removals for anything aside from inactivity has to be cleared with me (Maj-shaped).
Expect to see a post in which some members will be asked to get in touch with the mods. (And no, its not all bad stuff, it's not all good stuff either but there you go.
