I love how I asked my parents to spend this one morning [my birthday] with me and no one is home.
They are both off of work [my mother only works 2 days out of the week and my father is off on Saturday and Sunday] and they can't spend the day to celebrate the only time I'll turn 17.

This past Friday was my first birthday since you passed away in February.
I'll be so glad when all the firsts (Thanksgiving, Christmas, your birthday, etc..) without you is over.
[[Secret]] I missed your birthday card with your chicken-scratching in it.
I would have given all I had just for your card saying "you love me with all your heart".
