10:59p - i call it the band fag workout
i got most of my crap done, the rest of it i just dont care about, or am too lazy to do. so after tomorrow, some stress will be lifted.

i've realized that i really, really, absolutely need to make this cadets audition. i dont want to spend any more money or time on other corps that i have ranked 2nd or 3rd best on my list. but the truth is, i have no idea how hard it will be to get in. i hope i meet some people that i can pal around with, because i really dont feel like being a loser all weekend (which is what usually happens at these kinds of events). anyway, i've been doing "marching band exercises" for the past few days to get myself in shape, in response to the phantom regiment audition packet which read "make sure you come prepared and in shape, start jogging, pushups, situps now!" or something to that effect. i already believe i am in near prime marching condition since i've been marching actively for about 2 and a half months now, and i also believe i'm in generally good physical condition, but i could definately be better. my workouts consist of:

alternating pushups/situps, 3 sets (thank you jen for the suggestion)
up on toes: up 4, hold 4, down 4.
standing on toes as long as possible.
holding baritone in left hand at playing position as long as possible.
lots of "rock and rolls", march forward 4, backward 4.
marching around the room rolling my feet at an outrageous angle.
snapping from rest to attention and back several times.
horns up and down several times.
bedroom mosh.

if anyone cares. not to mention that i roll my feet wherever i walk, and do the up to toes exercises whenever i'm just standing around doing nothing. so hopefully things work out. i may go up to the marching band field this week and just march and play up there by myself. i'll look like an idiot, but oh well.
