11:50p - melodic emo beatdown
the show last night. early november played a half-assed, yet good set. their new stuff is more indie rock as opposed to emo rock, which is not necessarily a good thing. of course i've only listened to their new album once, so only time will tell. next, senses fail were eh. allister was a very fun band, but liked beer a little too much. i would've bought their cd if they had any there. (touring band mistake #1) home grown was also fun, but a bit annoying. the starting line concluded the show with a decent set, but ken's voice was gone. he sounded like shit. oh well. the new stuff sounds cool. i bought their first ep. i am a pop punk queer.
it turns out we're going to have a LAN party this friday. boo fucking yeah.
mercyful fate is a great band.
it sucks not being able to write music. at all. i'm in a total creative slump right now. i'll get going on some cool melody or something, and then i'll just scrap the whole thing because it sucks. such is the life of an artist. (tongue in cheek).
