10:02a - wearing out
the dashboard show was nearly worth $30. we got there and met some kids from school, and waited in this long ass line to get in. annie had me hold her tampon. i also had to take off my chain in order to get in. bullshit. we arrived with brand new playing, who put on a quite a set, i like them. our seats were so fucking off center and high, in the nosebleed section, so we just stood the whole time basically. we almost had seats, but fucking staff found us out. mxpx was next, who are old but still going strong (apparently they played mostly new songs... i wouldnt know). that was a fun band. then dashboard came on... they played a set of mostly new songs, which sucked. every once in a while, he would play a solo acoustic song. this is what made the terrible seating and the terrible cost of the ticket worthwhile. i lost it during "remember to breathe", which surprised me because i figured "again i go unnoticed" would do me in. i'm guessing the reason for this was because he's turned the song into a rock ballad with the drums and everything, it was even worse live. his songs are so much better when played solo. chris said he was going to play a song for all his dedicated fans, because they're so fucking dedicated... a song he hadnt played in 3 years... so he played "the bitter pill". which was nice, but that song is only from like 2 albums ago... about 3 years ago. man, play something your real fans could appreciate, dont just satisfy the mtv crowd. anyway, at the show i also tripped some big guy (on accident) and threw annie's tampon into the crowd as we were leaving.

so yeah...almost worth $30. i recommend anyone just now discovering dashboard to buy the swiss army romance album. thats the album that made me love the band, and still is an amazing listen to this day.
