Steven Gerrard is Sox. Sox is Steven Gerrard. I have decreed. Sox will step up, next Wednesday, and fire Liverpool into the final of the Champion's League. Believe me, such things are the stuff of miracles, but I believe in miracles, yes I do.

Come on, Stevie! I mean Sox! I mean Stevie! I will now forever see the face of a cat on the face of Steven Gerrard. If you score, Sox, I will love you forever! I mean Stevie!

I was going to stay in tonight, but Bolb and Richi are back, celebrating their engagement. How could I not join them? I shall endeavour to make amends by not drinkng for a few nights.

This engagement inspires me. I shall meet her, though I don't know who she is. I will get married, one day. Come on, Rebecca. Fill me with confidence. Take my hand. I want to suck your bottom lip and wilt under your touch.

I think it's time I believed.

Well, that was rather fun. Once OAP Thursday was out of the way, Lucy, T'Becks and I got the stuff out of the shed. They've accumulated an exercise bike, an abs sort of...thing, another abs thing, a trampoline, and a walking machine. I managed five miles on the bike, a load of stuff on the abs...thing, and I feel really rather good about it. We're going to buy a treadmill next week, hopefully.

Doing this every couple of days should seriously keep me sprightly. Rather ironically, though, while using these machines, two of us were smoking. Work that one out. I have to kick that, and soon.

Burned about a hundered calories on the bike, too. I think that's good for a first time. I haven't done serious exercise....well...ever. I'm pretty lean, but now i'll be tight!

Good timing. Almost as soon as I get in, Mould's done the dinner. A lamb chop casserole. After eating that, I made a cup of tea and looked out of the window. A wood pigeon pecks humorously at some old cake. A feeling of calm falls upon me like a cosy shadow.

And I don't know why. Perhaps it's all that exercise. Endorphines. I feel like i've done something today, rather than shrink into lethargy, work and that depressing apathy. I don't even mind that i'm working tonight.
