Right, a quick morning update. Plenty of Guiness last night...lots of people in...buffet for the Minster Match Meeting or something. Which meant a busy Bell Inn. For once, a thoroughly pleasant atmosphere. I have no hangover bar a bowel that thinks it's IT, and a lack of decent sleep.

Very soon, I will depart to the Bell for a cup of tea and to meet Stuart, to go shopping. It's time for that weary trawl through high street shops desperately trying to remember what you love about people.

Merry fucking Christmas.

Yesterday I played Alien Breed for the first time in years. I dreamt about the bloody thing too. And it was EXACLTY the fucking same as playing the game.

Essentially a rather tiresome Gauntlet clone, it had some gloriously tense set pieces...the pitch black level, for one, and the klaxxon infused "exploding level".

Woo..and lots of aliens. Might try to find some more stuff about it. There is sadly little at the moment. Gawd bless ya, Team 17.

Right, time for me to fuck off. I'll be back later, hopefully having actually found some stuff, as opposed to walking about panicking at Stuart.

He's in for it, mate. Yes.

I am not a quick shopper.

Ah, Canterbury....replete with homeless man (Or a bloke with a load of blankets who really GOT REALLY TIRED, if you think about it differently), people avoiding, and gasping at DVD's.

Did a lot of that..also got about six people's stuff. Mostly entertainment slabs of various kinds...in fact..ALL...imagination of Christmas gifts is not my strong, point...rather lumping straight for things that have some general kind of relevance towards people. Better than buying cakes anyway. Spent the rest of the time being overly humourously pedantic about everything Stuart was saying. He didn't seem to mind, despite the steam rising from his head...and we chortled about several shops picking up things and laughing. Buying dvds is a stealthy process, a morass of two for ones, discount cards being swapped like marbles, and LOTR everywhere. Oh, and the mild underbelly of staring at a reflection with a whispered sigh of desolation.

To dull the distant pain of knowing i'm one day going to end up being burnt and scattered on some rocks like piss, I got a Frasier dvd, and Peep Show, series one. Watched on the computer! Classic.

Where the cunt did I get thirty three hugs from since this morning? I'm so fucking cuddly today. God, i've got hands all over me.

Sounding mad. I am, i'm still trying to find the last two things I need...which involves tiredly clicking on things and wondering where the hell Christmas went wrong.

Street markets with phone covers, that's what. I don't know how though.

Right, I think i've got all my damned shopping done. I hope. It's been expensive enough.....but not too much. In fact, I think I did quite well this year.

Some of these things are frankly shambolically vague and/or piss taking, but I did think...god did I. Now i'm going to watch Frasier and eat a jacket potato.

Yes, Frasier is great. Perfectly medicinal wit to the ill countenance of a miserable sick Brit.

Did he really have that much more hair back then? Is that table made out of three parts, or one patterned? His dad never changes.

Yes, I love this show. Get me tea and a few hours. Must go drinking soon.
