Bit of a lie in today. This time last week I was on a ferry crossing the channel, and on the way to France. This week, i'm here watching the Simpsons and undertaking the time honoured art of "slouching". I woke up earlier though, at fucking six o'clock.

It took me an hour to get back to sleep. This was an hour of a stomach squelching and rolling about from last night's Guiness.

Ick. Last night was a nice drink up. I sat at the bar in my usual place, tiredly leaning back against the wooden bar division, whilst Bolb and Stoney laughed elsewhere, and Gordon and Mel cosied up near the pillar.

Tired, I began to drift and dream. Guiness washed my throat as I gazed at beams and through windows. Stoney left, talked about er...U2...with Bolb. Then we walked Minster's streets, only to be ambushed by GD1 and GD2. One appeared before the other....performing pirhuouette's across the road, and we led GD1 on a merry wander. What a fool! Who'd have thought we could make him follow us for three streets!

Look, we think cats are funny, okay?

I think you'll like that one. That's my most detailed picture yet. Read it, and add your thoughts, Beanie.

Yes, it's fun time Wednesday. I actually have the urge to go shopping soon. I need underwear of course, and perhaps some shoes. However, this will not happen today. I need to get some money from the Aleks Cashpoint. Meaning she has my savings at the Bell. The fund I break into when I need to get new clothes. Perhaps i'll have a look on the net for stuff though.

And what would you like to see me wearing, hmmm?

Yes, you.

Ah, the Goonies. Makes me wish there was an underground cavern around here we could stumble across and discover an underground pirate's fortress, stopping off to stab at a deadly skeleton musical organ.

Sadly, there's just an old pit with some chalk faces in it. And a rope hanging from a tree...in the old days it was probably used to hang those that went against Minster, by slack jawed barking torch carrying locals.

I'm not a local, i'm from Margate.

Which is probably worse.

Breaking the bad news. [17 Nov 2004|12:59pm]
Feel like doing a medical drama style joke, on Des. Get dressed all official, overcoat, pen in the pocket...clipboard....monocle.

Then go up to Des, whether he be eating, standing pitifully at the back window, lying on the bed with his stupid football legs out like logs, or simply sitting on the carpet staring.

I'll approach him with a stern but sad face, clipboard in hand....and i'll sit down and say

"Des.......i'm....i'm afraid i've got some...bad news....i'm really sorry....there's nothing we could do....the tests show that.............you are in fact....a BIG FUCKING FREAK!", then turn the clipboard around and thrust the paper under his nose...a finely doctored electric bill or something....with the words "certified freak" written in big red lettering", then i'll walk off laughing, and wondering where I got the white coat and the pens from. And the clipboard. The monocle will be my own. I will win it in a game of Hoopla refereed by a drunk.

Charts for your arse. [17 Nov 2004|01:30pm]
1. (1) Vertigo - U2

U2 do what they do best. At least sometimes. Pissing about with each other and making guitar heavy stompers, and shaking about in a big panorama, whilst singing slightly silly lyrics about Jesus. Currently leaning on Destiny's Child and Eminem in the Uk charts, and whistling wistfully.

2. (2) Misty - Ella Fitzgerald.

You know what this means. Still in there.

3. (RE) Battle Theme - Final Fantasy x

Cute, insistent boppy battle theme from the best Playstation2 game ever. It sounds like an eighties detective show theme in a Japanese dubbing context, or something.

4. (-) Twin Peaks Theme - Angelo Badalamenti

One of those "Nothing like it in the world, ever" tunes. Curious twangs, ambient lushness, and cloud like melodies, practically a living being in the series. In fact, it makes me want to watch it now, instead of typing like a big fuck.

5. (-) Enjoy the Silence - Depeche Mode

Tighter, harsher and more succinct remix than the Mode are used to.

[ mood | naughty ]

An evening very similar to the last awaits, with one small difference. I have a book to study. A fucking intensive language and literature one. I intend to read it! Whilst drinking stout and smoking. And thinking. And drawing rude pictures. I may use the paper as opposed to the bar this time.

Bye for now.
