On Monday, i went to see "The Return of the King", with Tongy, Lucy, Graham, and his little sis Maddy.
TROFTK is a stupifyingly awesome film, if a little draggy in places. I also notice that Jackson also seemed to ramp up the amount of scenes of Sam crying. I also noticed that Frodo's intense stare count was off the spectrum.
Still, it was every bit as fucking spectacular as you would expect, if not anything you could regard as a classic. The book is of course, but the film does rather piss about with the original story rather too much.

I want to see Zoe as well, but i won't before New Year's Eve. I think i saw her this afternoon, in the car with her grimacing husband. I didn't look at the windscreen directly though.
Today, i stayed in the Bell on my day off, before having some godforsaken time eating Pringles and drinking Stella at Roy's. Not much fun. I am simply not going to enjoy tomorrow... because i can't drink much. So i left early and came home. I miss Mel as well. Saw her last night, and we actually talked for once. It's been a long time. I'll see her tonight at the Bell, i think she's working.

I have to confess i dreamt of Zoe Malloy again. This one was more intense.
Not in a sexual way. I just dreamt us kissing. It was kind of nice.

When i say nice, by the way, i mean just nice in the way i liked the vivid reality of it. And it felt real. Not because it was her.
I'm not ready to tell you why it was nice to dream of it. But trust me, the only reason i probably dreamt of her was that she is the most enticing of my female friends...not because i'm in love with her.
I don't know why dreams happen. Or why certain people are in them. But i've had these before, with other people. And they mean little. This one just made me wake up abruptly, because i could feel those lips...the warmth, and the softness, i could see her face. It was odd.

To celebrate the New Year with a bang, i'm going to check out the harrowing and eye watering "Threads", a nuclear war drama broadcast in 1984.
Hooray! Happy New Fucking Year!
