If you haven't heard, they caught Michael Phelps
smoking pot. The world apparently
stopped spinning when this was learned, but physicists got it moving again pretty quickly with some wagging fingers.
Honestly, who wouldn't put it past him? I've long had the operating assumption that anyone who works in entertainment has done or continues to do cocaine. This operating assumption is born from certain facts which have come to light about various public figures over the years. I'm not averse to including sports under the entertainment banner, and, given the statistics on marijuana usage among adults in the United States, it'd be ludicrous to add pot to cocaine at the end of my assumption since that's an effing given.
Your next thought, or possibly one of the thoughts after the next, is, "Why did Steve censor himself there?" My answer:
rhythm. "An effing given" sounds better out loud than "a fucking given" at the end of that particular sentence to me. You might disagree, but thankfully you are not one of the voices in my head.
I need to write an entry on pot at some point.
