Yeah, Motherfucker! [22 Apr 2005|08:17am]

I'm off for the next two days, yippeeeee! Yesterday kinda sucked cause I had to work and my head was hurting so bad throughout the day and wouldn't go away. It ended up making me nauseous--I almost threw up several times. What really didn't help was I had to slice some Ragin' Cajun turkey breast. Hahaha, I shit you not, Rajun' Cajun. EVery time I sliced the scent hit me in the face and I would nearly gag. I didn't think I was gonna make it lol. A highlight of the day was these two idiot teenage boys (is it just me or are teenagers retarded?) goofing in line at the deli register. I rung up the first one and told him "That'll be 3.16." And he goes "Tree-fitty! I have tree-fitty." Then I was like We work for our money round here, Loch Ness Monster! They both cracked up, and the second one looks at me with widened eyes and asks me, you've seen it? Yep I reply, feeling haggard but amused nonetheless. Oh my gawd, they both exclaim. She's seen it! I thought that was hilarious.

Nut has a date to the prom, bless her heart. Most guys won't pay attention to her cause it's Haysi and she's too smart and independent for them. But this guy seems to like her and she likes him pretty good so that's cool. He calls her a lot and wants her to come over to his house--awww, how sweet lmao. I reckon she and Mom bought a prom dress this Saturday and she's been pretty excited. (For those of you not in the know, Nut is my sister. Or my clone, as a friend once said rotfl.) Talked to her last night on the phone, it's really funny hearing her leave messages on the answering machine. I played the messages on the machine when I got home and Savannah's like "Hello? Shana, this is Savannah. Call me back later." And it sounds soooo down and forlorn, like her world just ended because she had to talk to a macine lmao. It's the same, every single time that youngun leaves a message rotfl.

I bought the Sims 2 University expansion, I've played it some and it's pretty cool. Gameplay is geared a little differently but still familiar, with the addition of influence points. If you have friends you can influence them to do shit you don't wanna do for you lol. You can bet I'll be playin the shit outta that one too.

I was listening to Kyuss yesterday going to work, and I fuckin' love that band. Who is Kyuss? Shit motherfucker, they're this kickass heavy band that had Josh Homme in it; he of Queens of the Stone Age fame. I recommend the Queens, too. The singer for Kyuss is a dude named John Garcia, and his singin is sometimes kinda funneh, like he's trying a lil too hard. I've listened to them so much that I love it, and the strange mix on the cd's. It's sorta muddy, or when you first hear it you think it wasn't mixed down right in the studio--but now I wouldn't have it any other way. They're sorta metal/stoner rock sounding and now I think the mix is right for them and their cutting sound. John Garcia, by the way, has a band called Hermano and his vocals are a lot better, and Hermano has a second album coming out soon! I'm sooo there hahaha, cause they rawk too. Basically, any band/album from any of that circle of people is guaranteed to rock yer fuckin' socks, and there's a biiiig circle. And I know my music, ya fucks. The last Desert Sessions that came out is a wonderful musical journey on cd, featuring Josh Homme, Nick Oliveri (also of Queens) PJ Harvey, Mark Lanegan (formerly of Screaming Trees and Queens) and many more. Eagles of Death Metal I waited over a year for that fuckin' record and wasn't disappointed! They are, as the lead singer/guitarist Jesse 'The Devil' Hughes quotes, "Death by Sexy." Josh Homme is the drummer for that group, btw lol. Nick Oliveri's band Mondo Generator makes me wanna smash stuff, and have kickass songs. Nick can sure scream! hahaha. I still can't get over the "Girls Like Christ" thing lmao. Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters played drums on QOTSA's last album Songs for the Deaf, Nick was featured on the Black Sabbath tribute put together by Melissa Auf de Maur called Hand of Doom (check that out, too. She's a luscious lil' redhead mwahaha), and their are a bunch more people who have played with one or the other of the bands mentioned that I can't think of at the moment. Bottom line: YOU MUST GET THESE CD'S!! They rock! I promise.
