Whew I'm beat! We saw Andrew WK last night at Johnson City and it RAWKED!! The opening act was a punk band called Die Trying. They were ok, kinda your run-of-the-mill feel-good punk band. Their skunk-haired lead singer was funny hehehe. I saw some of that eclipse last night, but they let us in before we could see all of it. I took a picture but don't know if it turned out. Also met a lot of nice people and WK freaks heh heh, and talked.
The big thing though was Andrew WK!! The main act was Hoobastank but Andrew WK rocked the damn house. Also, there was no Hoobastank merchandise being sold and craploads of WK stuff being sold. I got me a green Andrew WK t shirt and Joey got a boggin :P. Seeing them live was great, the energy was amazing and there was no one not moving in the whole place! Joey said he had the most fun at that concert than almost any other. We were all drenched in sweat (and the water Andrew threw at the audience) and there were crowd surfers being thrown at us ( I nearly got clobbered by some 200+ pound guy haha) and Andrew WK himself jumped into the crowd. He was so humble and down to earth it was cool. He let a bunch of kids climb up onstage and dance around with him. Man before the show I spotted Andrew at the bar talkin to someone, he was wearing a hoodie and some sweatpants lmao! I was like, dude I should go talk to him but he looked busy and I wouldn't wanna bother him so I stayed in line. Wish I had though, he's so damn nice! And cool! We never even stayed for Hoobastank, in fact half the place left after Andrew WK. We even saw our punk friend Nathan there, also for (gasp) Andrew WK. He said he considered approaching Hoobastank and telling them, "Hey, Incubus called and said they wanted their sound back." Hahahaha!
Then me and Joey came home and got pickled. And life was good.
