    Crossing my purchase quota
You know, ever since I came back from my Grad Trip #2, I seem to have caught the buying bug from Min. Oh no, wait. She shops. I go direct for the kill (ok, the idea was lifted from Weekend Today's article on prehistoric hunting made equivalent to modern shopping).

Being able to calculate (at least roughly) how much I earn each day allows me to set a spending budget for the day. I'm so determined not to let my mom's prophesy come true though. (She used to say that I'll spend $6k when I start earning $5k). Oh wait, I hope the latter comes true soon enough.

So, I went on a buying frenzy. Running shoes (used it only once thus far), in-line skates (dunno when then will have chance to use... since sleep vs blade.... is such a dilemma these days), my convocation gift for myself, the latest Hillsong CD, a fourth bible (since it's so cheap I just felt I would let myself down if I didn't buy) and who knows what's next.

I've got a couple more items to buy, but I thought it'll be financially very unwise. For example, my hp earpiece spoilt.. so that means i should buy a new hp, a new MP3 player, or both.

Ahhh.. this is the first time in my life I've purchased so many items that crossed over my 'expensive' mark in such a short while. And I must say it makes me feel so liberated. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!

But do me a favour. Next time if I happen to be with you and wanna make another impulsive buy, tell me to save up for the next overseas trip instead. *grin*

How my luck with cheapo things ran out
When I bought my BlueSky oven for $40, everyone was skeptical. Until they tried Jael's baking products, they weren't convince that the $40 product could produce anything good. And of course, now that most of you have tried them, you still ask for more.

And I tried to push that luck by buying the $59.90 blades from the same place. After all, I tried the $30 blades that pauline has, and it was a great experience. By investing 100% more principle sum, I thought I would have twice that enjoyment.

    *sinking music*

It didn't work that way. My first experience with the blades this afternoon in ECP was rather horrendous. I found that the only way to blade was the balance on the in-line wheels, coz the base of the shoe wasn't supported (well)!!! Even after Ms Wong helped me tie shoe laces, and Ms Loh's kind guidance, my blading experience didn't improve much. Before I reached Mac, I threw in the towel, and wore back my trusty slippers. Being the nice teachers that the 3 ladies I was with were, they waited for me as I trudged along.

Now, should I give them (the blades!) another chance, or be evil and try to sell them online? Or just leave it by the dustbin at the ground floor, hoping whoever is poorer but would like to try blading gets a chance?

Ahhhh, one of the fine dilemmas in life.
