WARNING-this is going to be LONG!
june 7-11 was the best time of my life! washington dC with the class baby, so much fun! so i guess i should start from the beginning:
monday, day1-got on the bus at 6 outside of whittier and drove off to dC. that was one mad long ride. i was sittin next to katie costello and behind katie and carolyn. amanda was diaganolly across from me. so, i didnt get a wink of sleep goin down there. i was really hyper, which was weird because id had recital all weekend long and got 4 hours of sleep sunday night or monday morning, from 12-4. oh, and bc was head banging the back of my chair the whole ride there. fun stuff. we were going to watch billy madison but it was "inapropriate" even thought were all over 13, so it wasnt. umm we stopped for lunch at a fod court at about 130 and hung out with the other bus (danielle, emo, tia) and others. they got to watch the ring. i hate them. so we got to the hotel around 430 and went up to 508, me kt's ktc's nd caro's room. it was connected to 506, cait, kel, taylor, and olivias room. could it get any better?! well then we all got ready for and headed to the dinner cruise. food, music, hanging out on the deck goin down the potomac. fun times. we named my straightener anorexalina508flipz. and i said that logan bradley probably uses one because his hair looks like he does and danielle was saying how it was mean to say that and then tyler said "he NEEDS a straightener!" so funny, even danielle thought so. i know you did danielle! its the truth! me danielle and tyler sort of got into trouble..a girl on the deck below us threw her cup off into the water and then the two on the ground of the upper deck "rolled" off. so two black guys came up and started yellin at tyler and me n danielle "were next" until we went over to them and were like umm hi we didnt do anything. we were standing there but we didnt throw them off. seriously! soo it ended up that none of us got into any trouble, but it was quite funny. when we got back to the hotel. it was about 10 so we watched will n grace, some other show, then the tonight show which i fell asleep during 5 minutes in. i always fell asleep during it. really, id be up and hyper and talking with the grls and then BAM jay leno comes on and im gone! haha well onto day 2...
tuesday, day2-woke up to a constant banging sound on the door at 530. tries to wake up ktc and caro...katie had told me to get her p at 552, and then shed call her mom at 6. so i hopped into the shower and it ws 557 when i tried to get all of them up because the other two still hadnt gotten up. so eventually, they did and we went off to breakfast which was also a buffet. after, we went to arlington national cemetery for a few hours and saw a wreatj laying and changing of the guards ceremony. then we went past the national cathedral and up embassy row and then to lunch at union station. next we went to the capitol to have our group picture taken and had an exterior "tour" of the building...we sat under a tree and listened to the tour guide talk about the histor of it and stuff. then we went to the jefferson memorial, holocaust museum, and fdr memorial. got back to the hotel and got ready for the dinner theater. the show was boring, but overall it was fun jst talking and stuff. oh and there was greg too. :). so many of us had or pictures taken with him. i think you get the idea. when we got back to the hotel it was 1130, so we hung out and watched the tonight show. this time i caght 15 minutes of it before i went to sleep. i got to see the best part though,"where are you going?...to have sex with the midget i store in the medicine cabinet!" hahahaha were the only ones that found it funny. so that was day 2.
wednesday, day3-once again got up at 530, but this time kelsie had to come into our room to open the door. got into the shower, and then carolyn did. katie n ktc went at night, jus if u were wonderin if they actally showered. they did. ok, so we went over to breakfast again and ate really fast and ran to starbucks. then we were off to the white house to take pictures. next we went to the navy yard. umm hi can you say most boring thing in my LIFE?! ok yeah so that part sucked. afterwards, we went to the air and space museum to eat lunch and see some exhibits which didnt interest us very much. the toy store did though! haha were like two years old. anyway, then we went to the natural history musuem, but me kt nd danielle and amanda i think, but i cant remember, went downstairs and got ice cream and looked at the hope diamond. after that we went to american history, and me emo danielle dyaln n cody went on a virtual car race and it was so funny thanks to dylan. after, we only had a little left for time, so we just hung out in sbway and talked a lot. then we went on the balcony of the museum and stood there for three hours waiting for regans funeral procession and then watching it as it passed us. after we went to the ww2 memorial which was really pretty. then we got to eat at the pentagon city mall...best mall ever! so it was around 10 b the time we got back to the hotel. it seemed like things had been stolen like left shoes...?...so me n ktc went to the desk to report it. some were returned some werent. then we watched the tonight show and i fell asleep half way through again! onto day 4 then...
thrsday, day4-this was the best day. got up at the usual time and had breakfast. then we went off to mount vernon, which was pretty boring. and it was soo hot. in one of the rooms, we were almost out and the lady was talking to a different group, so danielle rolled up a paper and yelled into tylers ear "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" were talking YELLED. really loud. that was the highlight of mount vernon, which gives you an idea of how boring it was. then FINALLY we went to kings dominion. very first ride...me sarah emily and katie c went on the pirate ship which blows canobies away since it goes all the way around twice. after that about ten of us went on i think its called the shockwave?..yeah, anyways its a standup roller coaster that goes upside down. it was ok, but it banged my head around a wicked lot. then we went on scream, the highest one in the country! its 350 feet high and goes at like 80mph. so much fun. when youre standin in line and it comes down the air just goes woosh! ok so then we had some lunch at a pizza place. very good pizza might i add. then we went to the water park, which was kinda lame, but it was SO hot that it helped cool us down. so after that, we headed over to the volcano, but some people wanted to get henna tatoos so sarah emily danielle amanda all stopped and got a tatoo. and me katie carolyn and tia kept goin to the volcano. we got there and there was like no line at all. so i sat next to katie and tia sat next to carolyn behind us and we were off. that was the best ride ever. it goes speedin through a volcano twistin upside down, and then it shoots u outta the top and you come out upside down and then spped around outside the volcano twistin around goin upside down. then we went on anaconda which goes upside down inl ike 4 loops and twists, but it goes slow so it was only an ok ride. then we went back to find the tatooed people and had to wait a little while for the tatoos to dry, but when they did, me katie emo carolyn danielle and amanda went on volcano. this time i sat next to danielle. and then we went on flight of fear, which was the next best ride. its inside pitch black and speeding fast and you go upside down so much. actually, reverse that. first we went on flight of fear and then volcano and then flight of fear again. then we had to leave!:( on the way home to hotel we stopped at the cracker barrel which was actually ok. i sat with ummm katie sarah danielle carolyn amanda tyler brian...and umm other people but i forget who. so after that we went back to the hotel and cait hung out in our room most of the night. we were all gonna watch the tonight show together so that i stayed up for all of it, but we all fell asleep before it came on. so caitlin was in our room all alone while we slept! haha. so that was our last day in dC..
friday, day5-got up at 530 and finished packing and cleaning up room 508. it was sad to leave it because it seemed like home while we were there. so we all met downstairs and got on the bus to have breakfast. and then we went to three memorials...vietnam, korean, and lincoln. it was kinda cold and rainy which was such a change from the hot sun that was there for most of the trip. after those memorials, we got on the bus for a long ride home. i actually slept this time...for a half hour while we were in new jersey. omg new jersey is like the most boring state EVER to drive through. it does not end, and neither did connecticut, but new jersey was worse. we were ahead of schedule so we pulled into whittier around 815, way earlier than expected. so that was our trip to dC. and it was the best time of my life.
