saturday I went out last night. i came home from work, checked a few things online, left the update on Julie being handed her walking papers. then I went out. german bar wasn't having karaoke so I met up with friends in front of the german bar. I suggested we go to the "new" sandbar(they moved from a small place into a bigger place that used to be a pizza joint acouple blocks away). i figured what the hell, check out the new place. I'm pretty sure I still have a bar tab I can get there (since I knew the owner, and bowled for their team before) and they have the best burgers on Broadway. so we all went and I'm glad I did.
people found out I can't go into the chalet anymore (which is fine by me, i've been treated better elsewhere by other bar owners because they now have me coming into their places to spend my money, plus, I'm good for business because I bring others as well). I still was able to get a bar tab(they only give them out to 4 people, I'm one of the lucky 4, lol). the new jukebox is so much better, the search mode on that one is way better than the one at the chalet so it was a night of me playing tunes, shooting pool. alot of us singing along with the songs on the jukebox, just a great time.
I told everyone about Julie being let go. my best friend here tim and i talked privately about that, and he knows I have a line drawn. He respects me for always standing by that. a woman friend named Jesse came in. shorter than me, blonde hair, pretty... she gave me a hug and she wanted to pay partners on poolo, so she asked me to be her partner. I was and her and I were unbeatable as a team all the way til bartime. I found out she likes country singer Lacy J. Dalton, or at least 2 of her songs. I had played "16th ave' and "Black Coffee" on the jukebox and started singing it. she sang it along with me. the bartender joked that we've made this unofficial karake night"(sandbar doesn't have karaoke, lol).
last call came and we all decided we didn't want to go home yet, so i said, fuck it, come to my place., I have a patio area, as long as we don't make a ton of noise we'll be fine. so we all came to my place...jesse wanted to go for a ride on my motorcycle so I handed tim the beer I bought and said I'll be at my place in alittle bit. jesse left her car at the bar's parking lot and she got on my bike. something about her arms around me really...really felt nice.
I took a quick ride into lake delton and then rode back to my place where we all arrived at the same time (I'm sure the neighbors on my block appreciated that, lol).we took pover the patio area that's next to my place and I put the computer speakers in the window. my phone was ringing and I knew that could only be one person. I let the machine take it and then listened to all the messages..al 12 of them from Julie. yelling screaming, swearing...and you wonder why I decided to end it earlier last night.
Julie called yet again and i answered the phone and told her I had people over. she didn't believe me so i had Jesse say something to her. jessie asked her how she could be cruel to say bad things about a friend of mine that died? jesse told me Julie said something in spanish and hung up. haven't heard a thing since. read the many emails julie sent and after the third one I just deleted the rest. like i said before, it must be a latino thing to get all crazy when they do something wrong yet, they don't 'get it" that they did something wrong.
anyway...we drank til daylight and jessie spent the night here with me. why take her to her car and risk her driving home when she could just stay with me :)
tonight after work i may either stay in the area, drive down to chicago or maybe go to milwaukee to hand my card from the bar there back in. why keep that card which was used for a free bar tab when I really don't deserve to keep it, especially when i won't be going there that much, if at all, anymore.
