    Time Event
    12:40a
    more weekend stuff.
Julie and I went to milwuakee last night, I followed her on my bike. her parent's have a big house and an "in law Cottage in their backyard ( a 1 bedroom deal), that's where Julie is staying. we went to this bar called the last lap. they had karaoke. I never ben there but julie has friends that go there, it's like a local place where some tourists come into. almost reminded me in a way of the german bar and chalet's bar. mix of locals and tourists. i met alot of her friends she gre up with last night. and she did it again, played video slots and won $80 bucks, i don't know how she does that, i tried it and got shit, she gets on the same machine i was on, same damn one, and won. she jabbed me on that too, lol.

her mother is doing ok considering, the kimo is kicking her ass, but the one thing that really inspires her, is cooking. since I was spending the night and all day there today (which i did), they decided to have a family get together so i could meet more of julie's family. her brother was trying to put a new alternator in his mother's car and was having trouble(he doesn't know alot about auto mechanics except changing oil as he works at a juffy lube type place). since I went to an auto mechanics school, I asked him if he had tools, their father has thids huge tool box on wheels, almost like my father used to have years ago, in his basement. so since I know how to install them and what you need to do to make sure the belts are tight. I helped him, well, he pretty much let me take over, lol. he was getting frustrated so I got it in there.

their dad has a car almost like I used to have. 1975 vega wagon. it's like his "project" car but he doesn't know alot about cars (he's trying to learn from books and reading and may take a night course to get better). It hadn't been started in over 4 years, they had all the new parts in the basement. so after I got done installing the alternator I asked if I could take a crack at it.Their mom came oyut while I was replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires and handed me a beer. she then looked at julie and said "does he drink alot"? Julie laughed and said "yes, mom he drinks alot, alot of beer". I laughed when her mom then said "He's gonna fit right in with this family", lol.

I replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributer cap, electronic ignition, carburator, air filter, pcv valve and after looking in his chilton book, I put the air hoses back to exactly as the picture showed me. I was having so much fun working on this vega, it reminded me of when i had a wagon just like this, real easy engine to work with, can get to everything with no trouble. i was like a kid with a new toy. Julie's mother went on a cooking spree. cooking makes her feel good. I found out they own a restaraunt, the other kids run it now but it's been around for over 25 years. tacos, burritosJulie is half mexican and half japanese, her mom is mexican and hispanic women do love to cook, lol). and chilki without beans (she did that as a favor to me since I can't stand beans). Her father just stod and watched me do all this, I made a nice impression by working on this car. Julie and her younger brother kevin went and got two gas cans full of gas for me (the tank said empty), and about 2 hours after I started this project, we put the gas in and right then, I almost had it. it was turning over and was almost starting.

I went to the auto parts store around the corner and got some octane booster and starting fluid. after I pu the boostrer in the tank and sprayed a ton of astarting fluid into the carb, along with boosting the battery on their battery charger, it turned over and over and after trying to kick over several times, it started. i punched the gas and let it warm up for about 10 minutes. julie's dad was so happy because he wanted to drive the car for the longest time. 4 cylinder, fill up the tank and you can drive to hel and back on a tank of gas. which is one of the reasons why I liked having a car just like that.

afterwards her dad went for a drive in it and julie's sister asks me to look over her car, i made em all laugh when I said "what am i, mr. fucking goodwrench or something"? lol. of course since I'm already dirty, why not. she needed a tuneup so here i am playing mechanic and got her car to run better.

Julie's other brother Jimmy showed up on a suzuki, after we got to know each other we were making jokes about our motorcycles, I called his a "rice rocket" and then realized what I said and quickly made an apology(they are half japanese), he laughed it off and there was no offense taken. so we decided to race each other down the alley. just for fun. we raced three times doen this long aley with julie being the one to say ready set go. my harley vs his suzuki and we tied all three times. third time when we got down we saw the squad car go up the street. someone called the cops on us so we quickly put the bikes in the garage and shut the garage door. the squad car slowly went up and down the alley several times and then drove off. whew, lol.

they may be half japanese and half mexican but their musical taste are defientely latino, all over the place. and Julie is really the only one who looks more japanese than mexican.while we were eating in the backyard (which is fucking HUGE!), the music was los lonely boys, los lobos, stuff like that. I asked if I could look thru the cd's and found the best of los lobos (just another band from east L.A. ) and popped that in. they were surprised I like los lobos. I'm a big fan of them actually.

Saturday morning and afternoon before we went to milwaukee we were in and out of my place. we drove an hour to McFarland. I knew this bar there it's called "crapp's tap". it's actually a nice bar with decent jukebox and pool table. my joke was "not a better place to have a shitty beer than right here at crapp's tap". made the several people that were in there laugh. Julie has this uncanny ability to win at video slot machines. here in wisonsin these machines "pay out" so you win money on them. she won at crapp's tap, when we came back to the dells we went to this one place i know called the country keg, which is mostly a local's place. she won on the machine there, and last night in milwaukee she won. she just puts in 5 bucks at a time and wins every fucking time. she won over $200 bucks yesterday. I tried it once, didn't win shit, she goes to the very same machine I was on? puts five bucks in, and wins. wasn't that a bitch, lol.

She knows the important decision I had to make in an area of my life very recently. She has been very wonderful on this. She basicly stod back and let me come to my own decision, which was lay it on the line to someone else and have them make the ultimate choice. They did and that's that. it'll never be discussed agasin because I saved the response to remind them if it ever comes up again. this as one of them choices where whe you make it, that's it, there's no turning back. so life moves on so to speak.

Her and I have a song that's "our" song we sing together. I played it for her and she fel in love with it. it's "Don't Misunderstand me" by the rosington collins band. I'll post the lyrics at the end of this post. Julie is also going to make a journal here. she likes blurty and is going to make a journal, so soon you'll be seeing replies from her here. Now if i can only get that digital camera rom her, she went camera crazy with this camera she bought and there's like 50 pics of me she took. I'd like to delete like 49 of them, lol. she also loves "Dancing in the sheets" the old dance song by shalamar. after I had about 4 beers and 2 VERY STRONG vodka redbulls i was able to be talked into singing this on karaoke, I guess i did ok since people were dancing while I sang it, lol.

anyway that's all for now here's them lyrics I said i'd post.

    Don't Misunderstand Me
    by Rossington-Collins Band
I know where you're goin', 'cause I see where you've been
Don't you know by now, you've gotta take life on the chin
Still you sit and wonder why the past is gone
Baby you'll go under if you don't carry on
    Don't misunderstand me
I realize it ain't easy to take,
Ridin' like the wind just to find you.
But you've been hidin', and I've been
I don't need no promises, just tell me the truth.
Mister, keep it honest, that's all I ask of you.
Baby, count your blessings 'cause you won't find one like me.
Don't be second guessin', 'bout where you want to be.
    Don't misunderstand me
I realize it ain't easy to take,
Ridin' like the wind just to find you.
But you've been hidin', and I've been
Baby, put your dress on, grab them fancy shoes,
Honey, I'm ready and waiting on you.
We're both too smart to be fakin'.
Time is surely wastin', we've so much to do.
Or if it's your way or my way.
Well now lady, let me tell you what we're gonna do,
And I know it doesn't matter which road we choose,
    We're gonna ride every highway.
    Don't misunderstand me
I realize it ain't easy to take,
But you've been hidin', and I've been
Ridin' like the wind just to find you.

    Current Mood: tired
Current Music: status quo- whatever you want
