    Time Event
    10:24a
    weekend
was out til bar time last night , nothing new there, lol. had a ton of fun at the german bar, alot of friends came over there from the chalet to see me so it was nice. julie was having a ball singing and dancing with me.

I'm going to be going to illinois this week for the funeral of my friend joe who died in iraq. I've known him since we went to grade school together. I talked to his father last night for the first time in years, i told him how I heard about it (it was on the news, i was watching channel 9 wgn out of chicago and i heard his ame, they showed his pic and that really hurt). fucking senseless death in a pointless war. it reafirms all my opinions on this war, all of them.

we got to the german bar before karaoke started. they had some sort of polka type music going, if you play the jukebox, the polka shit goes away, guess who right away played the jukebox, lol. catlin who does the djing when she set it up and got started she after her intro to get it going said, "this first song is for someone sitting at the bar". she played "Maybe Tomarrow" by the stereophonics. all my friends looked at me and tim said "that's your song", I laughed and started singing it at the bar. Devin the GM of the bar quickly got a wireless mic and handed it to me, i wasn't expecting that but, since i was singing it loud enough for people to hear, what the hell.

For the first time last night I did tim's fave song which is "turn the page" by bob seger. I didn't think i was doing a good job but then again we are our own worst critics. I got a rousing ovation afterwards so I guess i nailed it good, lol. it's to the point where sometimes I don't even have to fill out a slip for a song, catlin chooses them knowing all the ones I do, and then calls me up, it was kinda like "kamakazi karaoke", i had no clue what she chose until i got up there. her and julie hit it of real good and that was nice to see.

I do have some thinking on something, I was asked if i would be interested in moving from the dells to milwaukee at the end of summer. i'm here because of my father and after talking to him this morning about it, he said he'd understand why I'd go there if i do. it's about 2 hours away but he knows I'd commute to see him. alot of things evolve around this decision. some i won't mention here but if I do, it'll be a huge step forward in my life and be making a commitment. one that'll be very important in one area of my life.

we'll have to see on that since I didn't give an immediate answer to it. these are the kinds of things that require alot of thought in different areas. we'll just have to see how things pan out.

some chapters close, some open up.
well a decision was made in one area of my life. which means a chapter of my life is now closed and probably will never be opened up like it used to be ever again. they say one door doesn't shut unless another one has opened up somewhere. one was open and i felt like i was in the middle. someone made their decidion so it is what it is now. I don't chase anyone anymore so life will move forward with someone new.

    Current Mood: indescribable
