Question...Sort Of A Rant, But More Of A Question
I have yet another question for you imbeciles out there who have been saying, "This country is sue happy and we ought to ban all lawsuits," since I was a little kid...and I'm not trying to put you down or anything here because the purpose of this is to educate, not to insult, but any ten year old kid, such as me, could plainly see that you were being played like a grand piano by the corporations that are running this country and any rube who just fell off the turnip truck should have been aware of what was going on but no---you insisted and many of you keep insisting today that we have to eliminate lawsuits and now I wonder if you're finally starting to waver on the issue.

Or maybe it doesn't bother you that you have to wonder if you've been exposed to AIDS every time you have a medical procedure because you so gallantly got medical malpractice caps put in place in so many states or if a loved one is going to die from eating a salad. And maybe it doesn't even bother you if you've lost your house due to fraud (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25259083/).

Do you still think that the big friendly corporations that would never do you any harm to anyone should be protected from lawsuits? And do you still believe that you're gonna get anything out of this? Like that you won't ever get sued for anything? Or that if this happens, costs will plummet?

If you believe that you're going to get anything good out of the new lawsuit free America that you want...well, this is why we don't let you go to the carnival by yourself anymore, Jethro. Every conman on the midway sees you coming before you even leave the house.

So, if you think lawsuit reform...as defined by the giant corporations that are selling it to you---and I especially love it when companies like Walmart and Microsoft talk about things like protecting small businesses---is still a good idea, here's your chance to speak up and say why. I am really curious.
