What: Basically... a catch-up and roll call for The Wild Bunch
It had been a long, rough week for Carrie Washington, the young woman who calls herself Molecula. Being the leader of a group of ragtag outcasts was hard enough, but combine that with the following facts:
1. Their newest member was almost gang-raped, and was luckily saved by The Punisher.
2. For saving her girlfriend, Warpspeed now feels in debt to the goddamned Punisher.
3. Also? Warpspeed is still having trouble slowing herself down, which will lead to her demise if she doesn't do something soon.
4. Oh yeah. And Venom is still on the team. Fuck.
She knew she was ready to fall apart, but she had to stay strong. The team had a benefactor now, and while Chloe was her best friend, the fact was she was under no obligation to keep Carrie as team leader. But she did. And it was time to prove that she'd made the right decision. So, seeing all the chaos going on recently, Carrie did what she felt would help her best: make an attempt to get everyone on the team, Chloe included, on the same page. She knew that outside of Warpspeed, none of her other teammates had ever met Chloe, and it was high-time that everyone was on even ground. No more secrets. Not even from Venom. She'd kept the obviously unbalanced hero/villain/who-the-fuck-knows in the dark about almost everything, but she had to admit, he'd proven himself. While still crazy as a loon, he'd saved their bacon a few times now, and never tried to do anything to them save help them and defend them.
So... it was time for a big-ass team meeting. She'd called all involved with the team, and asked them all to attend. Despite all the hectic thoughts tumbling through her mind, she put on a brave, confidant face, and turned to Warpspeed, who for all intents and purposes was her second-in-command.
"Alright, Cyn... it's time to do this. You told Gwen to be here, right? I talked to everyone else. Even Chloe's coming, if she can pull herself away from her uber-rich, uber-hot boyfriend. You know. Not that I'm jealous, cuz... well.. yeah."
