| [OOC] WWC IS MOVING!!! |
[04 Jun 2008|10:14pm] |
Yeah, I know I made all the announcements and stuff with a comment, but um ... as a moderator its really frustrating to not being to edit people's post, especially when they ask me to. So I decided to move the game to LiveJournal. Those of you still playing can find the NEW community here.
Unfortunately you'll all need to make new accounts and whatnot (good luck with that, btw, you'll need it). The game is gonna see some major renovations, too, in terms of gameplay. Be on the lookout for announcements and OOC information.

| [OOC] Attention All Players! |
[04 Jun 2008|08:48pm] |
The players of Spider-Man, Luke Cage, Spider-Woman, Ronin, Wolverine, Robin, Ravager, Ultima, Superman, Wonder Woman, Canary, Green Lantern, Oracle & Birds of Prey, the Wild Bunch, Fox Force Five, Vanguard, Ghost Rider, Iron Fist, & Carnage need to start playing these characters more. Only a few characters are being played at the moment and we have a big plot that will have global effects. Your character can be included! Just ask where they can be stuck into the plot--we'll make them work! If you play a canon character and cannot or don't want to play them anymore you MUST hand them off to someone else or drop them. The game has too many inactive characters and players. If you can't play anymore, please tell me. THIS IS MANDATORY.
It seems I can't stress this next part enough so here goes ...
IF A PLAYER ISN'T ON AIM THEN START A SCENE AT THE COMMUNITY!!!
I also want a role call of all active players and their characters. Please include this information by COMMENTING along with your AIM SN so other players can contact you to play. THIS IS MANDATORY.
Uh ... what else. Oh, yeah! Some players are forgetting the Who, Where, When thing at the beginning of their scenes. Please make sure you are doing this. M'kay? Thanks!
That's all for now. I think, anyway.

P.S. I am really, really, really sorry for all the multiple posts. Blurty was acting all weird for a while. @.@

Who: Special Agent Sofia Santiago & introducing Damien DeWitt Where: Sofia's Apartment When: Tuesday Night
Sofia was so tired she fished around in her purse for the keys to her apartment for what seemed like hours. After a brief recovery from her attack, she had already been in the office again, pulling in long hours, patrolling with Jake and experiencing the overall chaos that had brought Gotham City to it's knees. She entered her apartment, kicking off her heels, loosening the bun in her hair and removing her jacket. She was just about to start on her blouse when she caught the faint smell of cloves. It wasn't that cloves were uncommon, but that particular scent was one she hadn't experienced in years. For a moment, she wondered if she was hallucinating as she reached over to turn on her lamp.
And there in the lamplight was one vampire, Damien DeWitt that Ms. Sofia Santiago hadn't seen in years. The click, flick, and clap of his black chrome Zippo was heard, put to the end of a brown clove cigarette. He inhaled and as he exhaled Damien said quietly, "Hello Sofia."
Damien had changed little in the years since he saw her. For one thing he didn't have the goatee like he did now. His hair was a little scruffier. What hadn't changed was the clothes ... still high-end as ever yet simple. Same with the Nat Sherman cigarettes. Luxury was one of Damien's weaknesses.

Who: Paladin and Batman Where: The Batcave When: 3 hours after Paladin's meeting with Tanith
To say that Mia Dearden was slightly jittery would be an understatement.
Since beginning her training with Elektra, and becoming the hero called Paladin, Mia had learned to beat fear, for the most part. But her nerves were something altogether different. This whole invasion was taxing her to the extreme, as the combination of being virtually useless against the alien beings and knowing that Roy was hospitalized by one had made sleep virtually non-existant.
But now... she felt that maybe, just maybe, she could somehow help. She had gone out alone, looking for Morg, the alien that had put Roy out of commission, and had instead run into the vampire called Tanith. After some snarky, witty banter on both ends, the two ended up gaining a measure of respect for one another, and Tanith, who had dissected one of the creatures as Mia stood there, had given Mia the disembodied head of one to deliver to Batman, along with her findings on their physiology.

Who: Green Arrow & Elektra Where: Ollie's home When: Backdated to the night Roy was taken to the hospital
Despite the fact that Oliver Queen and Elektra Natchios were, for all intents and purposes, a "couple", there was many a night that they did not act like it; namely because Elektra was nowhere to be found. At times, she felt as if the very walls of her apartment would close in around her and swallow her whole, leaving her trapped. She trained Mia heavily on a daily basis, and when he wasn't out fighting crime as the Green Arrow, she spent time with him. Settling into this new life had been incredibly difficult, so when she felt it was too much, she would flee and wander the city aimlessly, choosing random people to follow as if they were her kill. Then, she would drop the hunt and do something else, wandering about like a ghost. Recently, she had been on the roof speaking with Batman in what had become a bit of a ritual. Knowing he would be concerned for her safety, Elektra made her way to Ollie's apartment, coming in through the window. Old habits die hard.

Tanith had been tracking one of the bigger aliens for some time now. Not long. An hour. Watching it roam. Gathering information on it. It wasn't assessing a territory. Not looking for anything in particular. It was, in a word, just making a mess and making enough noise to a) cover up her own sounds of movement and b) warn everyone in front of it that it was coming, so no one was getting injured. Tanith suspected that it tracked by movement, rather than heat, which may have explained why it hadn't registered her yet. Or maybe by sound alone - or even by sheer bioelectrics, which Tanith (being dead) technically had none. It was a curiousity, and Tanith hadn't had the opportunity to track another large predator in a long time. Oddly, she was enjoying it.

Gwendolyn Cook gave a last short tug on the laces of her boots, securing them in a double knot before checking to make sure other things, such as the belt slung around her hips was in place. The tan little pouch carried any additional medical supplies she'd need, if it was necessary. The pale blue half-skirt was still taking some getting used to, not to mention the hot pants ... what the hell had she been thinking? Oh, right, with my libido. She scolded mentally to herself. Finally, she checked the leather arm cuffs around her upper arms, they too were secure. Her last gesture was a thumbs up to Carrie, "I'm good to go!" Was her enthusiastic reply.

Who: Paladin and Elektra Where: Elektra's place When: Tuesday night
To Mia Dearden's warped sense of humor, all of this sudden chaos was a bit like Spring Break, as during all of this, Elektra was admittedly more concerned with keeping the two of them safe then with putting the hammer down with her training. So, THIS fine evening, she sat on the floor (how utterly comfy), eating a styrofoam container of ramen, and reading a small, thick comic book. "You know, E... this is 2008. I don't think the Chaste would think any less of you if you owned like... a DVD player or a Playstation or something."
Elektra was seated at an antique desk in the apartment she lived in with Mia, her back turned to the young woman as she looked through some photos. "If I owned them, you would be playing them instead of training. Oliver has more than enough gadgets for you to entertain yourself with."

Chloe was walking. That was to say, she was going towards the parkade where her baby was parked. She'd never really held with the idea of being close to the doors to her office building. Never got exercise that way. So she actually gave up her parking spot to one of her employees that was in a wheelchair and parked elsewhere. As it happened, the parkade just happened to have better security, too, and she considered that a major bonus when dealing with her gorgeous black mustang. Anyway, she was walking. It was early evening, and the sun had just gone down though it wasn't quite dark yet, with the evening light in red settling against the big glass buildings. She'd always loved this time of day.

He trusted the detective would be safe. The woman could easily wake up and was welcome to leave from the abandoned house that she would find herself in. As for her savior who rescued her from certain death, he was back out on his monster-hunt. The streets below him, as he leapt from rooftop to rooftop were filled with fire and chaos from the destruction these monsters had wrought. Duum had no luck so far finding any of the famous heroes that he'd heard about. He couldn't find Elektra who he had initially been searching for to call a truce with her and try to propose a team up to bring this carnage to an end. Right now, he was willing to reconcile with anyone he'd happen to run into and see what could be done about this massacre of Gotham that was going on. He came to a stop on one of the rooftops when he heard a hellacious roar and the sounds of battle. Drawing his sword from the sheath under his long black cloak, he crouched down and crawled to the edge to get a better look at what was exactly going on.

Who: The Punisher and Kyoko/Miyoko Where: Gotham City Streets When: Last Night
Adding to the carnage wasn't her original plan, but there was no one else around, so Kyoko, the possessed form of Miyoko Kimura was busy throwing around hatchlings like they were balloons. The creatures were slammed full force against the wall, guts and blood splattering about. Garbage cans and entire cars were thrown through telekinetic force alone, as the black-clad, blonde haired woman smile with her iris-less eyes glowing red. People were screaming and running away left and right. While Kyoko was busy destroying monsters, she wasn't exactly keeping an eye on humam bystanders.
Handfulls of people ran screaming through the street, trying to avoid getting hurt by the seemingly crazed woman destroying the monsters. This drew the attention of the only human bystander that wasn't running from the scene but rather walking directly towards it down the street filled with burning cars. Even one of the screaming innocents ran up to him and grabbed the approaching man by his jacket, screaming for help. "Please help us!! She's gonna kill us all with them!!"

To say Sofia Santiago was tired was an understatement. She had spent many late nights sorting through the vast amounts of paperwork coming into her makeshift office in the Gotham Police Department. It really was some kind of storage room they gave to her at the last minute. Desperate times call for desperate measures as they say. She had needed a break, so she went for a bite to eat at a small restaurant for some wine and tapas. It was nice to get away from pizza and donuts every now and then. The woman, wearing her business suit as always, rubbed her tired eyes and yawned as she fidgeted with the cross around her neck. Deciding to take a quick short cut, Sofia turned down a corner that seemed like it had been through an air raid. It saddened her to see the state Gotham was in. She had been sent to help, but so far she felt she wasn't able to do much. Suddenly the overwhelming feeling she was being watched came over her, and she whirled around, gun in hand.
One of the hatchlings, if you could call it that, had moved out from the shadows, climbing down the wall in a spider like fashion - which is exactly what the damn thing looked like: a big, mutated, hairy spider clicking it's fangs as it savored the scent of the meal to come. Before it reached the ground the alien sprung at Sofia, thrusting it's two front shorter legs to impale her in the shoulders as it brought her down. The creature gave a deep, loud hiss as it leaned in to smell it's prey. Two big red eyes, rather than the typical eight that *real* spiders had locked with hers and it leaned back, spreading a nasty set of jaws as it set to move in for the kill.

Gotham was on fire. The hatching of the eggs had caused an enormous amount of chaos that had the morale of our beloved heroes pretty low. But, Elektra still did not consider herself part of that brigade. So instead she decided to be the silent observer, watching the light show from what had become one of her favorite rooftops in the city.
"You know... one would think that a redeemed warrior such as yourself would be interested in helping out right now." The voice could only belong to one man: the one person not affiliated with the Chaste who could actually be behind Elektra without her realizing it. The Dark Knight. But this time... his voice sounded ragged, as though he was hiding injuries.
Elektra smiled to herself. "Another secret rendezvous. They're becoming quite frequent." Standing up she turned to the Dark Knight, brushing back her long dark hair. "Redemption, hah. I think you are far more comfortable with the idea of my redemption than I am."

Who: Satyria and Miyoko...introducing Kyoko Where: Gotham City When: Last Night
Despite the protests of Gotham police, a small crowd had gathered around one of the now infamous eggs scattered about the city. It appeared that amateur investigators and reporters had decided to see things for themselves and add to the hundreds of conspiracy theories already on the internet about the eggs. Yet one of those people in the crowd was downright happy to see them there. Just five minutes ago, the egg had shaken and the crowd stirred with anticipation. Miyo Kimura had instantly pulled out her Hello Kitty digital camera, ready for, what she believed, was her friend ET coming for a visit. Dressed in a pink and black getup almost straight out of a Gothic Lolita magazine, she stood on the tip toes of her Mary Jane shoes to get a better look.

| Panic |
[07 Apr 2008|08:35pm] |
Ok, so... usually? Barbara Gordon didn't panic. Well, she did, but she didn't SHOW it. But today? Hells yeah, she was showing it. Those giant egg-shaped-things that had landed across the world were starting to hatch, and chaos was beginning to run rampant. Already, Red Arrow had been seriously injured, Captain America had been wounded, and Spider-Man and Luke Cage had been captured by a warlord called Morg. Combine that with the whole "Superman Missing" stuff, and Barbara's new Birds of Prey still sort of under construction, and this was NOT a good day. So... she did what she knew she had to do: she sent a quick summoning signal to her protege, Amber.
Crossing town was not as easy as it had been before. With everyone claiming the end of the world, and giant egg creatures hatching all over the place, it made mid day traffic just a bit heavier then normal. "Hey there" Amber said, walking into the room. The mood wasn't as it had been. It was more serious then normal. To be expected when you're being invaded. "What's going on? I mean, besides the obvious." ( Read more... )

Who: Batman and Chloe Where: Wayne Manor
Chloe was pacing Bruce Wayne's mansion. Well, in front of it, anyway. She was waiting. And she was displeased. Very, very displeased. She even looked like she just rolled out of bed; her hair was a mess and she was wearing jeans and a ragged black t-shirt and a pair of hiking boots, and a leather jacket. She looked like hell, really. Exhausted, too. Stressed.
Just then, she was greeted with a sight that didnt occur often: Alfred carefully leading Bruce, who was in obvious pain, to the door. Bruce sported a small bandage across his forehead, and was tenderly grasping his left forearm. He brighted slightly, however, upon seeing Chloe. She looked worried, scared even, but at least she was safe. He broke away from Alfred, leading her into the lobby. "Chloe... thank god you're ok... with everything going on out there..."

It appeared like Gotham City was like the rest of North America: a vast sea of chaos. Since the hatching of various eggs, like a domino effect, barely contained chaos broke out, leaving the alien, Merula, with her struggle to find ANY superhero that could help her. Although at this point, her warning would be moot: Earth's doom was already here.
With a hand gripping the hilt of her katana, violet eyes watched from the rooftop of a nearby building a scene that was becoming all too familiar. A crater containing an egg, one of the few that hadn't hatched yet. The question that remained would it be terrifying monster, or perhaps someone that could be reasoned with?

Who: Shock & Red Arrow Where: Times Square When: Uh .. Night time. :3 Notes: For some reason only half the RP got saved. Dan, I really hope you have the other half. If not, I can do a summary of the rest.
Well... luckily, for the last two days, Times Square had been fairly quiet. The furor surrounding the 'egg' sitting in the giant crater had calmed, as none of the scattered things had given any sign of doing anything. Most of the heroes that had unofficially been spending time around the area, trying to be on guard, had gone wherever, hoping to get a little sleep. It was 1:30am, after all... nothing going on... so Roy Harper, aka Red Arrow, was just keeping an eye on the situation, sitting on the ledge atop the Virgin Megastore. He hated that he had this shift... but it was still better than the hectic hustle and bustle of the afternoon.
Crouched beside the Red Arrow was none other than The Batman's latest sidekick, Shock. A pair of binoculars was raised to her eyes, intently watching the crater with it's mysterious contents within. Lowering the device from her gaze, she glanced up at her fellow heroslashboyfriend and commented, "Well it is doing nothing ..."
"I think I'm glad..." Roy smirked and shrugged. "What if a giant Marshmallow Peep or something comes out of it? I don't know that we're ready for that..." ( Read more... )
