MTV Movie Awards [24 Apr 2003|07:08pm] [ mood | busy ] [ music | Follow the Yellow Brick Road! ] There are quite a few noms for LotR, but I'm seriously doubting they'll get anything, unless today's braindead youth start voting by talent rather than looks. The noms for best male performances are: Eminem, Vin Diesel, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Viggo Mortensen. Now there is absolutly nothing wrong with Viggo. BUT, and that's a huge but, the other four are the "hotties" in Hollywood right now, the guys that are sooooooo freaking untalented it makes my stomach hurt, yet one of them will probably win over Viggo. I mean, Viggo is one of THE most talented actors ever. Not only does he do films, but he's an artist, a photographer, a musician, a writer, and so much more. Wow. Eminem can sing. Big freaking whoop. I don't even see what people see hot about Vin Diesel, and Leo, I won't even go there, because I hated him since Titanic. As for Tobey, he's a great actor, but seeing as how Spiderman was about a year ago, he probably won't win it. Here are my picks for winners. *Best Male Performance: Viggo Mortensen: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers *Best Female Performance: Kate Hudson: How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days (*cough*shouldbemirandaotto*cough* *Best On-Screen Team: Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, and Gollum: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (and um.....excuse me, his name is Andy Serkis. There WAS an actor playing Gollum!) *Best Villian: Daveigh Chase (Samara Morgan): The Ring (I only picked her because I like her name and no one else was really that good. they shoulda nominated Saruman) *Best Comedic Performance: Mike Myers: Austin Powers in Goldmember (Gimli, anyone?) *Best Virtual Performance: Gollum: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (And excuse me, his name still is Andy Serkis!) *Best Kiss: Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst: Spider-Man (Aragorn and Arwen...that was a good one! Just because it wasn't all gross and tonguy!) *Best Action Sequence: The Battle for Helms Deep : The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (and it should be much of a challenge. I am still in completely awe about Eminem winning an Oscar(that was like two months ago!) But you know what, it doesn't matter because I know that everyone else's songs were better. Anyway, he better not beat out Viggo for Best Actor, because I will flip a lid. The awards are on June 5th. Long time to wait, but it better be worth it. In case you wanna vote, here's the link. The little kids sure liked it! We have another elementary show tomorrow, and then our real "opening night" later that evening, and our final performance saturday. I'm gonna get off now and call Mia because she's supposed to be coming over on Friday to spend the night and Saturday will be going with me and my dad and my brothers to Huber Heights, because he's gonna take us to see The Two Towers. [08 Apr 2003|08:47pm] [ mood | tired ] My spring break is NEXT WEEK! I'm sooooooooo happy. The week after, it's gonna be total chaos for me. I'm gonna be so exhausted every night. From the 21-26, we're doing triple-speed on rehersel. I'm on stage crew, and our director, Mr. Stikes, wants us to run this thing a zillion times because the actors seriously need practise. Our first performance is on the 24th, which is the two school-previews of a couple scenes. We only have five more practises left. Two this week, tomorrow and Thursday, and three next week before the big day. We're doing two elementary shows on the morning of the 25th, and then the regular shows on the evenings of the 25th and 26th. I can tell the entire cast is neeeeeervous, and we crew are just a little more optimistic. 3 hobbit hugs| hug a hobbit

It was only seven dollars! I bought it, and then remembered my mother telling me not to get ANYTHING, so I returned it. Actually, I tried it on, and then said it was too small. OMG, Jessica, you're probably gonna kill me. Well, maybe not. It's not that big a deal. So, we debated on where to eat, and Cindy and Jessica Miller went to Sears. The rest of us, Me, Brit, Laura, Brian, Jessica Swaney and this other girl whose name i forget hung around. They saw some guys and asked for their numbers. Then, we went and got Cindy and Jessica from Sears. And we saw an Old Navy basket. Being the ideallistic bright students we are, Laura climbed in the cart, and Cindy sat on the outside part, and Brittney pushed them. We were gonna return it to Old Navy. Me, the two Jessicas, Brian, and the other girl hid them from view. Cindy jumped off and ran ahead with Jessica Miller. Well, everything went smoothly until we reached the center of the mall, and pasted by guest services. they called security on us, and the security guy yelled at us. GRRRRRRR. Laura jumped out. We ran. We kinda left Jessica and Cindy. I hope they aren't mad at us! Then, we went to the theatre and saw Boat Trip. Hilarious! You can see it yourself, I don't feel like telling you what happened. After the movie, we stood outside and screamed stuff. It was fun. HAHAHAHAHA. Mia wanted me to come to her house, but I told her no. I wanted to go to this party. I see Mia too much. The Wizard of Oz [18 Mar 2003|09:28pm] [ mood | cranky ] [ music | Jitterbugs - The Wizard of Oz ] I joined stage crew for our school's spring musical, The Wizard of Oz, yesterday. We have practise from 3.30 to 5.00 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and practise from 1.45-5.00 on Wednesday. Yes, four hours and fifteen minutes. My job is to carry the extra props on and off stage, and I'm also backup lighting person. It's pretty cool. I got to watch the whole first act of the play today and yesterday. Yesterday Christina did Dorothy and today, Stevie(it's a girl, Stephanie) did Dorothy. As good as Stevie was in To Kill A Mockingbird(she was Scout), this time, she kept forgetting her lines. Yesterday, with Christina, it was almost flawless, and Mr. Stikes, the director, didn't have to criticize much. When Stevie went on, it was really bad. I hope she doesn't screw up on her night. She has a really good voice, too! She sang "Amazing Grace" in To Kill a Mockingbird, and she sings several songs in this play, as it's a musical. And OMG, on the subject of singing. CINDY GARLAND HAS THE BEST VOICE! She's brilliant, and she won't admit it! 7 hobbit hugs| hug a hobbit
