OMG I am downloading episodes 18 and 19 of The OC, and I'm getting download speeds of well over 100 k/sec... one of them was even around 160k/sec for a while. hypr0willizide@KaZaA, I love you!

I guess it pays to be lame and stay in on Friday nights and download tv shows, huh? Haha.

So, I finally have all of season 6 of Sex and the City ready to be burned.... very exciting. I'm not sure when I'm going to get around to watching them though.... I was going to tomorrow, but I have to be at a work function from 12 to 2, and it's at the mall, so then I have to go shopping afterwards, haha. Plus I'm hanging out with the boy after that, I think. We'll see. Also, I taped Ellen all week long, and I really want to watch that too. That will probably take precedence.... so maybe I'll watch Ellen Sunday during the day, and SATC next weekend or something. Hmm. I'll figure it out.

Haha, I just looked over some entries from earlier this week to figure out something to talk about, and I typed nad instead of and. And I laughed out loud. Yes, I'm 12. And I've decided that I'm not fixing it either, hahaha. Moving on....

I'm so glad it's a Friday night. Seriously, my job tires me out more than any job really should. Listening to people's problems really sucks.... and that's not even what I'm being paid to do! But I can't fully blame the callers.... a lot of blame has to go to the stupid worthless secretary. Ugh. I can't even form a coherent sentence on how much she sucks, so I'll just leave it at that.

I will be soooo happy to sleep in tomorrow. I have my curtains all drawn, and it's going to be so dark - yay! Hmm, I have a feeling that my stupid downstairs neighbors are going to cause some sort of commotion really early though, so maybe I should go to bed soon, so when I get woken up at like 8, I'll have a little bit more sleep under my belt (or at least my blankets, haha).

Okay, I'm getting lame.... I think it's time for bed! I chose amused as my mood, well, because I'm always amused about something. It's kind of like my fall back emotion, just like how 'interesting' is my fall back word. Whenever someone says something I have to respond to, and I haven't figured out a response but I want to give them validation, I just say 'interesting'. Works like a charm.

Well, that was fun.... except not.

There are 2 things that have recently bugged me aobut the status of my house.... one, the ice/snow/yuck mixture that hasn't melted away from the concrete walkway (my driveway is blacktop, and just about totally clear), and two, the pine needles my old neighbors left behind when they dragged their xmas tree out to the curb after New Year's. Every day, I'd park my car, trudge across the ice/snow/yuck, open the door, see the stupid needles all over the landing, and then trudge upstairs, annoyed.

Not anymore! I hacked away at most of the ice with my shovel and my car ice scraper (shut up, it worked on the stairs!) and then I used the old canister vaccuum that some long ago tenant left behind and sucked up the needles in the corner. The vaccuum didn't work too well on the carpet (and I didn't discover the proper carpet brush attachment until I had already dragged it back up my stairs), but the majority of the needles are gone. Yes, I feel good.

I still have my cough, and my coworker thinks I'm dying, hehe. I'm not even 'sick', it's just a cough. It is breaking up though, and I hacked up quite the loogie this morning while blowdrying. I had to put down the blowdryer and go to the bathroom, stat. So, that was interesting. But I sound horrible.... it is kind of a hacking, loud cough.... and my voice is cutting in and out, and I have to clear my throat all the time if I'm talking for an extended period of time. But I feel fine.... no fever, no congestion, no fuzzy head (at least no more than usual).... it's all good. Heh, if I were actually sick, I'd be complaining a hell of a lot more.

Okay, according to Kazaa, I'm downloading Part One of the SATC farewell from 3 people, at a speed of 0.67kb. What the fuck? Jeez, are these 3 offline users? Ugh, I think it's better if I don't watch!

heh, more annoyances )

Okay, so less than an hour until The OC! Yay! I might make popcorn, hehe. Mischa Barton was on Ellen earlier this week and I taped it, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet. Well, that's why we have weekends, right? Mmmm weekends.

Alright, I think it's time to get into my sleepy pants and settle down for The OC. I think I'll even turn my cell phone off early, heh. There ain't no coming between me and the teevee tonight. Well, except for the sleepy pants, haha. Rock on Chicago, rock on New York, Wheaties... the breakfast of Champions.... goodnight! XD

I am an updating fiend, I tells ya.... even though it's late nad I'm tired and I really need to take my contacts out and I have waaay too many lights on in my apartment and I'm already annoyed at my electric company so I shouldn't do anything more to incur their wrath becasue I'm able to incur it without doing anything at all.... but anyway, yeah, fiend.

Aaaannd we're back. As soon as I typed that paragraph, I was like, I've got shit to do! So I took a little breakie and took out my contacts, brushed my teeth, flossed, Listerened, left a message for the bf, filled up my humidifier, and got some other stuff set for tomorrow. Whew. So, now I can be leisurely and update, knowing that I have nothing pressing to do.... well, except sleep.... but who needs sleep, right? Haha.

Okay, an update on earlier )

Stilllll downloading SATC. I'm currently waiting on Episode 20 (the finale) and Part 1 of the Farewell (the one that was on at 8 Sunday). They're both a bit less than halfway done.... but they keep getting Remotely Qued or needing more sources. Grr. Oh well, I got nothin but time.... nothin' but time.

boring crap I typed out in real time. You don't care :-Þ )

A day in the life.... last Thursday, heh )

Okay, once again, it's getting late. Stupid sleep.... always getting in the way of life! Haha, who am I kidding, sleeping is my second favorite part of the day (after showering..... I loooooove showering. More so than Target, even. And you know that's a lot). I have to vaccuum and shovel the random part of my side of the driveway that's still snow/ice. Haha, I backed up into the showbank Monday morning, because I forgot I parked at an angle, and then I heard 'thud' and I was like oh shit, but it didn't hurt the car any... I was only going like 2 miles per hour. But I still felt dumb.... I think my weird neighbor across the street was looking on from his/her Grand Caravan. Haha. Oh well, at least I'm entertaining.

ANYWAY, I'm going now. Goodnight! :)

Interesting, hehe.

So, I'm at work. After I got off the computer last night, I couldn't fall asleep, because I was 'writing' more stuff in my head! Ugh, now that I've started writing in here, I want to do it all the time.... sooo addictive.

I've decided that I'm getting really burnt out here at my job. It's the same crap day in and day out, and I'm tired of listening to people's problems. I don't care! I have a meeting with the boss man this afternoon, so I might talk about some stuff I've been thinking about.... but we'll see. That was another thing I was thinking about last night too. Ugh, damn thinking! Haha.

I have part of a song in my head, and I really want to remember the rest of it, but if I start to think about it and analyze it too much I'll lose it. It's more the melody than the lyrics, so I can't even google it. Gah.

People can be so dramatic sometimes... )

And I think I'm done with this journal entry. I have some stuff to accomplish before my meeting, aargh, plus I'm hungry.... so, until next time.... :-)

Okay, so I haven't updated in a while, and I realized while I was updating my *other* journal, that I really needed to come back to Blurty land and write stuff down. I dunno, I just seem happier here. I'm in a few communities, and I've made a few friends, including one girl I adore.... but people just seem ambivilant to me over there. So, I need to come back here and just write, write for myself and write to get stuff out, even the bland, boring stuff I do day in day out.

I guess to make it easier for myself, I'll just start with right now and work my way back, instead of trying to figure out what the hell I've been doing since I last updated. My life is not that exciting to start with, so looking back and realizing that I don't have a lot going on will just make me more bummed out! Live in the now, man.

Okay, this is getting long.... enter the cuts!

Okay, wow, it's after 11, and while I still have more to type, I should start getting ready for bed. I have a nasty cough that I don't want to get worse, so rest is in order. Hmm, rest and Family Guy, haha. Hopefully it won't be as long between updates from now on.... I feel mentally better writing in this journal, so I should do it more often. Until next time.... :)

So, I'm lying in bed this morning.... in that nice state of semi-consciousness between asleep and awake. I'm thinking about rolling over and turning on 90210, what I have to do later, thinking about how it must be nice out because I can sense the sunshine through my closed eyes.

All of a sudden, a fighter jet flies right over my house (I live right near an airport, so this isn't uncommon, just loud). Eyes snap open. I'm awake now.

And here we are.

Wow, it's been a while since I've written an actual entry. While I'm tempted to scrap this one and just post some quizzes, I'm gonna barrel on.

I was fully planning on going doing some shopping this afternoon, when my new neighbors pulled in the driveway not 10 minutes before I was going to leave. They aren't supposed to be moving in till like the 15th, but now they're in my driveway, blocking my way out. I hope they're not freaked by my car in the garage.... it's not like I can move it right now anyways! Grr. I hope they're not planning on making this a whole day thing downstairs.... I got shit to do. If only I got in the shower right after I got up instead of watching 90210.

Ohhhh, to explain.... my old neighbors got evicted, sorta. It's a toally different story from everyone. I've talked to the guy who used to live down there, and our landlord, and they're both saying different things. Hmmm. So I don't know who to believe. I know I've bitched about my neighbors before, mainly about them not shoveling my side of the driveway, but actually they were pretty cool. They were quiet and didn't bug me. The kid stomped around for maybe an hour, tops, a few times a week. I guess you don't know ya have it good till it's gone.... or evicted, lol. I hope my new/current neighbors are cool too. We'll see.

Hmm, in other news.... while waiting for them to leave, I was going to file my taxes, but I'm not eligible to use site I used last year. Boo. Good god, I only make $17,500 annually, I really don't want to pay to file my tax return, and I don't want to go back to doing it on paper. Hmm, I think I found one where I can do my state and federal taxes online, and the site doesn't look like it's designed by a teenaged boy on crack. Yeah, font changes on mouseovers are cool for like journaling sites or personal webpages, not places where I'm gonna be inputting my social security number. Sheesh.

Moving on to more shallower things.... Vern hasn't been on Trading Spaces all season! I don't know what's up with that. He's still on the TLC website, so apparently he hasn't left the show. I'm getting annoyed at all these new designers.... I want Vern! Mmm, clean lines.

Also, a new episode of The OC is on this week! I saw a commercial for it during 90210. Very exciting. Seth is now a man! Of course he couldn't lose his virginity to *me*, but what are ya gonna do. Haha. Plus, I'm digging this season of America's Next Top Model, especially reading about it on TWoP.

Okay, I'm switching over to retarded mode right now because they're doing something really smelly downstairs! I can't even identify the smell. I want to say paint, but it smells so much worse. Varnish? Gawd. It's giving me a headache! It needs to stop and they need to leave! Haha. I've gotten used to living in here by myself.... I don't want new neighbors!

Okay, they've left.... I'm outta here! I'll be back later, hopefuly, because I have more to say!

Hooray for days off! I was planning on going to the mall and getting some curtains, but it's snowing, so I've decided I'm just going to stay in my pajamas all day. Showering optional, lol.

This work week is going to be an easy one for me (I hope!). Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment at 9:30, so I'll roll in sometime after that. Then Wednesday I'm doing stuff with my intern from 11 to 2, and then I have a meeting out of the office from 2:30 to 3 or 3:30, after which I will not be returning to the office. Thursday might be tricky.... I'll have to write about how I handled that later on this week. And then it will be Friday again!

My 2 year anniversary at work is coming up. While it is a milestone, and I am excited about it, it makes me think more about my vacation days. Lol. Basically, we have to use all our personal days/vacation days for the year by our anniversary date, or we lose them. I'm looking at losing 4 vacation days this year. So, I have decided than when the weather gets nicer, I'm going to take some random Fridays off. It'll be a good break, because I wouldn't have another reason to take a Friday in April or May off. And it's not like I go anywhere, where I would need extended days away from the office. In fact, if I took more than 1 day off, I wouldn't want to return! Haha.

In other news, I made the sweet and sour tofu! Actually, it took me 2 tries, but I learned that I highly dislike Mori-nu Silken tofu. I am all about buying the refrigerated blocks from now on, thankyouverymuch. So I ended up making it on Saturday, which worked out better. I did add the pepper and onion, and the pineapple, but next time, I might skip the pineapple. It was the last thing I added to the dish, so it didn't soak up much of the sweet and sour, so the pineapple stayed tangy, and just tasted a little off. Mmmmm, I ate it all weekend, and just finished it this morning! Haha. The recipe made a lot, but it was sooooo goooood. :)

Hmm, so I didn't do much this weekend.... Saturday I went to pay my cable bill because their offices are like 3 miles away, so I don't see the sense of wasting a check and a 37 cent stamp. Plus I needed to get out of the house for a while. Then I bought my tofu, onion, and pepper at the madhouse that was the grocery store on Saturday afternoon. It was crazy! After dinner I shoveled the driveway.... yes the entire driveway.... yes I am stupid. I just keep waiting for my karma to come back to me, like maybe one day my neighbors will say hi to me. Or at least stop arguing so loud. Hmm, scratch that last one, sometimes they're interesting to listen to. But I feel bad for the kid when they start dropping the f bombs. It's snowing today, and I think they may have shoveled the driveway (including my part) but I can't tell.

It did this last year too! Last year I took Martin Luther King Jr. day off, and went to the mall to get my current hard drive (40 gig, it ended up being like 40 bucks after the rebate - yah!). It was fine at 10 or 11, or whenever I left, but it was a veritable blizzard as I was leaving the mall that afternoon (I remember I was home in time for either One Life to Live at 2 or Days of Our Lives at 1). Fuck this winter shit. Actually, I don't mind the cold so much.... as I'm always cold, and I've learned to just deal.... but I can't stand brushing off my car and shoveling. Grrr.

Okay, it's time for me to go do something productive. Hmm, or sit on the couch and watch HGTV all day. Haha. :)

Hooray for Wednesday! That means The OC is on tonight! I am very excited.

I am also very cold! The high temperature today was 3. Tomorrow it's not supposed to get above zero. Brrrr. I wore (and am still wearing) a turtleneck and a thick sweater, and I was cold allll day long. I was going to shovel tonight so I'd have an easier time getting out of my driveway, but it's just too damn cold! So I'll spin my wheels a bit, no biggie. Haha. Wheee!

I'm making sweet and sour tofu on Friday. That's also exciting! I got the wrong tofu last week when I was buying tofu for my tofu scramble (apparently, the word of the day is tofu!), and it's more suited for grilling, etc., so sweet and sour tofu here we come! I bought rice and sweet & sour sauce and pineapples, but I'm not sure if I'll use the pineapples. I passed on the onion and the green pepper too, I'm just not sure about those. I figured if sweet and sour chicken, etc. from the chinese restaurant was just balls of deep fried chicken, then I don't need no stinkin' vegetables! Haha. Anyway, here's the recipe, from 24hour Fitness:

This recipe was submitted to us by our member Stephanie L. from our Webster Street club in downtown Oakland, CA.

1 package firm tofu (approx. 12 ounces)
1 large green bell pepper
1 large white onion
1 fresh pineapple (or 3 cups if using canned)
16 ounces sweet and sour sauce

Chop onion, bell pepper and pineapple (if using fresh) into 1/2 to 1 inch pieces. Drain liquid from tofu and pat dry with paper towels. Cut tofu into cubes about 1/2 to 1 inch.

Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Spray with nonstick cooking spray add tofu and sear for 2-3 minutes stirring constantly. Add onion and bell pepper and continue stir-frying until vegetables are crisp-tender.

Add sweet and sour sauce and toss to coat. Heat to boiling then reduce heat and simmer over low heat for 7 minutes. Add pineapple, mix well and heat through. Can be served over rice. Nutritional analysis information doesn't inlcude rice.

Makes 6 Servings
Serving size: 8 ounces

Yum yum, I can't wait! It sounds so good and so easy. Very exciting.

Okay, I think I need to get on the couch with some tea and get ready for The OC! Less than an hour! Eeeeeee!

Haha. Okay, okay, I set up a secondary journal on LiveJournal. They did away with the codes, so I got it for freeeee! Actually, I have 3 over there, but only use one. I have some demons that I don't want people in Blurty-land to know about, and I wanted to join some communities in LJ. It's amazing what's under lock in the Too Much Info community!

So I suppose it's time for another update.... ta daa.... )

Anyway, that brings us to today. I'm at work, blah. We have meetings every monday afternoon, and today we're having someone from the county show us their new website, and we're all gathering around my computer. I have to figure out how to arrange stuff around my desk so no one sits on it! I am getting grossed out just thinking about that! Hmm, maybe I can convince them to use the computer in the main area. That would definitely keep ass cheeks off my desk. Ewwww.

Well lookit me, I got busy with life again! Haha. I guess a wrapup of the past few days is in order...

It all started.... )

New Year's Eve festivities! )

In other news.... the weather up here has been fantastic lately! The snow all but melted, and it was up around 55 some of these last few days! I drove around town with my sunroof open.... pretty amazing for NY in December, lol. Of course, now we're in for the coldest air of the season.... they're forcasting mid teens for the middle of this week, but it's all good. I have cute sweaters.

Haha, when you don't update for a while, you have all this stuff to say....

Cutty McCutterson )

So, New Year's Resolutions? Wellllllll, I don't really make any. I feel that you can resolve to be a better person any day.... that you don't need a specific date to make a change in your life. I started working out today.... hehe, I can already kind of feel it in my thighs. I'm annoyed that the Discovery Health Body Challenge isn't taking place in my town.... I could really use a free 3 month Ballys Gym membership. Oh well, my old trusty 8 Minute Abs/Thighs/Buns tapes and the Tae Bo workout I downloaded will have to do!

Okay, time for me to get going and do something productive. Like sit ups and push ups! Yes, I am excited to be working out, haha :-Þ

9:20 pm - This weekend....
Ah yes.... so last time I wrote I bitched about how much I hated my life. Here's a little more )

So, after that fiasco, I had to go back to the mall to exchange a shirt from Abercrombie. I got 2 shirts.... one was a small and one was a medium. I didn't try them on beforehand, and I was more concerned about the small being too small, but, surprisingly, the medium was too big.... which is weird because Abercrombie runs small because they don't want fat people wearing their clothes. I get back to the store, and all I can find was mediums in that particular shirt.... I even found a couple larges! Bizzare. I guess I'll have to try and shrink it.

Then I went shoooooopping! )

So, that was yesterday.... today I went to the other mall to exchange the shoes and try and exchange 2 out of the 3 pajama pants (I only succeeded with one pair), and I looked for a change purse. I decided I liked the initial purses that were out, but the only J I found was like pink and turquoise. Umm, no. Then it was getting to be late (well, not really, but it was like noon and I wanted to be to my parent's house by noon) to I headed out, and missed the turn onto the highway, so I went a longer way, but it all worked out and I got to my parent's house. They really liked their gifts, and I got some awesome stuff, including a shirt from my mother that actually fit and that wasn't an atrocity. I was amazed. Oh, and the annual sweater from the grandma? Dark purple chennille. Ewwwww. Even my dog wouldn't put it on. Uh, not that we tried or anything. :-Þ

And I found out that my mother wasn't pissed that I brought my laundry down, so I'm returning later this week to do laundry, lol. I also got a very educational lesson about what kinds of things people bring to laundromats - "pukey, bloody things that people dont want to wash in their own machines so they bring them to the laundromat so they don't have to deal with it. I don't care what they say, a splash of bleach does nothin to clean those dirty nasty machines". Oooookay then. Anyway, it was actually a relief, because I get bored at laundromats. At least at my parent's house I can watch tv and scratch my dog. So that's good. I can wash all the new stuff I bought! I'm excited for another 3 day work week.... I've decided that I'm taking this Friday off too. Hmm, then maybe after that I'll get some real work done. Ehhhh, who are we kidding! Lol

funny stuff under this cut )

In other news.... whoever the f is calling my cell phone with a caller ID block on their number needs to fucking leave a message already! I don't answer if I don't know who it is.... need I remind you of the Time Warner fiasco? So, either stop calling, leave a message, or use star 82 or whatever, so I can see who you are. I will not answer! (not that you're reading this, but it feels good to say!)

Okay, it is time for me to go.... what was going to be a quick update has gone on for far too long! I even took a quiz before I started typing because I didn't think I'd have enough filler for this entry. Happy vacation to you and to all a good night! :)
