Ahmedabad's had the most delicious weather these past two days... It's been raining almost ceaselessly for all that time... The streets are flooded and after trying really hard last morning, barely anyone's venturing out at all...!
My drive back home from work last evening was adventurous to say the least... The water was almost over the bonnet of the car, I could hear the engine sputtering and see the gentle waves lapping on the windshield... Thankfully the car braved it all (Yay Uno...! Wish FIAT had got their act together much earlier..) and I made it back okay... Obviously, not without a few mementoes... Six inches of water in the footwell of the car...!
Changed out of work clothes and went for a long walk in the rain with sis... We looked like two escapees from the mental assylum, rollicking and mucking about in all the puddles... One escapee half the age and size of the other...! On the way back we bought some delightful french bread with cheese and coriander in it... Fresh out of the oven...
Back home we treated ourselves to spicy Akuri with toasted french bread... Perfect recipe for chilly, rainy nights...!
It really doesn't take much to keep me happy and high...
