loose sheets of paper... my sketches... tacked up onto the softboard... fluttering imploringly in the wind... they want me to come back to them... their impaled plight calls out to me to pick up the pencil once again...

31st July is 10 days away, and i still don't have a concept for the bicycle design competition... i don't want this to be another opportunity lost... there've been far too many of those...
let's see what the info ether has to say...
I need a concept for a human powered bicycle. Electric assist is acceptable as is a third or fourth wheel provided they're essential to the functioning of the cycle. City bikes, Folding bikes, All Terrain bikes, Virtual Reality bikes...all these concepts have been explored by a multitude of people...
What I need is a real need (physical, emotional, psycho-social) where a bicycle like vehicle can fit in... in the context of the real world today.
any ideas..?

I was explaining to A (my blocheaded ex-girlfriend and soon to be ex-friend) why she should be sticking around with me rather than prancing off with a slime-eating-methane-belching low-life form that she's known for all of 4 months... I ws doing this over yahoo... That's after Round 1 happened over the telephone and Round 2 happened 1500 kms from here at Jamshedpur where she's working... I ws going through the impassioned routine yet again... for the umpteenth time when it struck me...
Just like that, it struck me... no matter what I say or do, it's going to have no effect on her whatsoever... She's got this childish fantasy of an idea in her head and all my imploring only serves to drive it further and firmer into her mind...
At the risk of losing her, I'll just have to let things be... let her try out her fantasy and learn from mistakes she makes along the way... Even if she never comes back (to me that is...) there is no other way...
Live and learn.
