Hanging By A Moment - Lifehouse |
] |
So I left a little bit earlier about 3:30pm and got to Lana's at 5pm. When we were driving down the highway, there was these little kids behind a barricade that gave us the finger!! =O kids nowadays :P
So I got to Lana's, and I was like really nervous. It was ok, Lana was nice ;-) It was good to talk to another Lifehouse fan, and she understood all that stuff. We went to the train station and we were lining up for a ticket..and the people decide to go slow!! So the train came and there was still a line :( So we were fiddling with the buttons and all, and the ticket dude yelled at us!! =O he yelled at us to get on the train, even though we hadn't got our tickets yet. So there were no seats left on the train, so we sat on the floor :P the train dude came into our carriage and we hurried out our wallets, but he said we could buy the ticket at the next station..but they never ended up checking our tickets anyhow! So we got off the train and had to get on another train, which sounds simple but it is not!!! So we had a bit of trouble :P But we found it eventually;-)
We walked to Rod Laver Arena and took some photos outside :) Then we went inside and went to the Merch booth, I bought a light blue Matchbox 20 shirt :-D We were hungry, so we looked at the Cafe but it was just stupid, it was expensive!! so we ate hamburgers :P we went to our seat D row the lady there told us no cameras =/ but we took pics anyhow. Pete Stuart and Irwin Thomas were the opening acts, and they were..ok, lol.
Then it was Matchbox 20!! The came on at 9:15pm. They started with Soul, then Real World, and I can't remember the order after that, but they played, Disease, All I Need, Cold, Unwell, Bent, Mad Season, Back Too Good, 3AM, If You're Gone, and a cover of an 80's song, and Bright Lights, and Could I Be You. I wasn't really getting into it :( I was wishing it was Lifehouse!! We were 4th row, and in front we saw a guy with the EXACT same haircut as Rob Thomas!!! I think it was intentional lol ;-)
So we left, and we didn't really know where to go, lol. So we walked away from the train station..into this kinda park place. We weren't sure whether to take a tram or train to Flinders Station. We ended up going to this train station, that I didn't even know existed. Jolimont - whatta name. Yup, so we were just in time for the right train yay! We got to the station got out and then we still didn't know where to go :P We could hear this choir music coming from speakers sitting outside the station! weird! ;-) It felt like Christmas. It was sooo cold! So yeah, we just walked without knowing where really, then we decided to get out the trusty old map. I bought one!! It fitted in my tiny bag ;-) I felt like such a dork, so we hided in this little undercover part behind the wall, lol (So no one would see us) but!! An Aboriginal dude saw us! =O and asked if we needed help :P we said we wanted to "go to McDonald's (there's about 50 of them in the city tho) he kinda told us, but no, we reverted back to the map for some time still lol. A couple of people walked past us, and it was just a funny sight. We just cracked up. So we kinda knew where we going, and found out McDonald's was like..20 meters from the station heh. So we ordered, I got an Apple Pie, which I had to *wait* for :P So I was putting my change back, and the next guy comes up and he's not good with English (Melbourne is very very multicultural) so I was like trying to help decipher what he was saying :P he wanted a McOz haha. So after that we ate and left, going to the bus stop. We saw Starbucks Coffee over the street, so we HAD to go, well I wanted to :-D and we got pictures, hehe. Then went back and waited more. So there we were sitting on the seat, and these two guys walked past, I think he said to us, "how are you?" I was like "good, thanks" he said "we'll shout you come on..(talking about us coming up to their room!!!!!!) "room 14" omg!!!! He thought we were hookers? I dunno, lol. There was all these weirdos out. =/ Other guys looked at us strangely too. They were sick! We eventually got on the bus, at 12.30am. The driver was like Vietnamese or something, and we couldn't understand him =( He wouldn't answer my actual question, hmph. There was no rail on the side of the seat so when we went around corners I had to hold on good, lol. One time I completely went flying off! We changed buses at some point, then we were supposed to ring for a taxi (10 mins before we arrived) to take us from the station to home, but the line was engaged and not working and stuff. So we were too scared to ask the driver to take us directly home, so we were dropped off at the station, and couldn't get home, lol. Lana's bro took us home, so it was ok. I took some pictures, I should scan them I suppose. The concert, reminded me how much I love Lifehouse, not because MB20 were bad, but iono hmm lol. Lifehouse perform really better and they really get into it :)
We just watched the LH DVD mmm. And now it's almost 4am woah.
