You say that you follow "Be Who You Are, etc.". But isn't wearing that uniform (because when you take the time to consider it, it is a uniform) not really being who you are? You're adapting to what someone else drew out as the guidelines to being what a punk looks like. Fashion has always come with the start of a "rebellion", pretty much dragging down what was started into just another trend. You say you've never fit in. But you hang out (i'm assuming, bear with me, forgive me if I am wrong) with people that look like you, talk like you, have similar if not the same beliefs and ideals. Isn't it safe to say that you fit in with them? What is it exactly you're rebelling against, the "Man", the government...or pastel low cut jeans? The "poseurs", the trendsetters, the people that don't seem to think for themselves because they listen to only what MTV tells them to and buy into what the media sells them on. The truth is, none of that is any different than what you've bought into. And when you think about it, it's not any different from joining any type of following. You exchange what you consider "normal" clothes for ripped up/patched up/studded outfits, you buy the music, you go to the shows, you hang out with other people that have bought into it and soon you start preaching the ideals of the lyricist. But it's not really you, is it? Because when you come home and wash the excess black liner off your face and change into something that didn't take you an hour to lace up, do you think that is you, or are you the person you take all morning transforming into?

hey guys
i thought i would give sum reviews on sum bands

article 57-local plainfield Il band made up of 5 guys they play punk and ska music they used to have a a trumpet player but sadly he left they have a cd out and they are having a show at dancing tomatoes soon (june 14 [friday]) with the evil u's and broken freedom sorry no on the set!!! (another great band) these guys can really rock a concert even at a small place such as tomatoes! they get involved with there fans and talk to them me , nicole and sum of our dear friends talked to vet,teh drummer of article, very nice guy and gave us hugs too. soo go there at 7pm to check the band out they are rad!!!

goverment cheeze-8th grade local band formed by mike lynn and norm reno with their weak singer ben and there kick ass drummer matt they rock ohh and lets not forget the mouse kid they are ok live im not going to lie to u ben needs sum serious vocal lessons.so does the mouse matt can sing and play drums and hes easy on teh eyes norm plays bass (rock on) and mike plays lead guitar good combo they played at a close friends of mine's party and where pretty good all they need to work on is singer but they can all ways change that i think for forming just this year and only being in 8th grade with 12 songs as norm has informed me they are doing pretty good!

okay people. no one seems to update much so you get to hear about my wonderful crap. aren't you excited?! yeah well for starters...jonah seems to dislike me so i went out with cody. jonah was upset and well cody just dumped me and i'm not sure why...jonah signed off, and brenten is treatening to kill himself because of some girl. i am also thinking of killing myself now, and jenny says if i die she'll go with me. ugg...this really fucking sucks. i have never really been quite so unhappy. life just seems to get worse and worse. i feel kind-of sickish. it's gross. i want to drink or something. anyways...i am lost and hurt. it sucks major ass. luv u all! back to the nun plan...
