I have but one word for yesterday. random. Okay, two words..random and FUN.
I ended up going to Berea/Cleveland for the Maroon 5 concert and visiting Miranda. It was originally going to be me, Miranda and Stephen but it turns out the concert was sold out so Miranda insisted I go. She had a lot of homework to do and she wasn't very familiar with their music.
I got to Baldwin Wallace, by luck actually. I was cruising along the road, not knowing where the hell I was supposed to go when I look over and see "Baldwin Wallace Rec Center" so I slam on my brakes and peeled into the parking lot, called Miranda and eventually found my way to her and the dorm. It was so nice to see her! We dropped my stuff off in her room and went over to the Union to meet some of her friends. Then we headed back to her dorm and Steve had gotten there and was getting ready for the concert.
Then we headed to Cleveland. We had a little trouble finding the Odeon which is where the concert was held. We found this parking lot that was supposed to be $1 for parking but turned out to be $6. Those lying bastards. So we weren't able to get out of line because there were like 10 cars behind us, so Stephen had the idea of booking through the gate when the car in front of us went through. I was game. So the minute the gate went up I flew right through. Hell yes for free parking. It was so funny.
The concert was really good. The first opening act was really good, the second one kinda sucked and Maroon 5 rocked. It was general admission though with no seats so it was a little chaotic. For the first two groups this beastly girl was standing in front of me and I couldn't see. I kid you not on the beastly part either. She was seriously over 6 feet tall and well in the 200 lb range. eek! And then these annoying girls who were no older than 15 or 16 kept pushing us and trying to make their way to the front. ha, no.
After the concert we headed back to Berea to hang with Miranda. When we got there we decided to go on a walk. By this time it was past midnight and it was so peaceful outside. She took us to the lake and it was so pretty. There was a sheet of fog over it and it was seriously gorgeous. We walked around for awhile longer and reminisced about the summer. ugh. I miss summer so much.
Eventually we made our way back to the dorms because neither Tom nor Matt were around so we couldn't meet them. We got our stuff out of the room cause Miranda's roommate was sleeping. Then we headed down to the lounge and camped down there for the night. Random people kept coming in and out of the lounge using the vending machines and being really loud. It was irritating.
Miranda woke us up around 7:30 cause she had class. So we went back to her room and slept while she was at class. Stephen kept talking in his sleep, it was funny. Miranda got back around 9 and called her friend Matt over. He is such a cool kid and really funny. We all hung out for awhile and then I left around noon to come back to school. I got a little sidetracked with the New York City exit signs and ended up in Trumbull, Ohio. oops. I got back on I-80 right away though cause I'm smart. haha.
So that was my evening/morning. It was a lot of fun. I'm glad I went against my instincts and went. I love being so random.
Now I need to go to Walmart and buy a couple pants for when I work at Piercing Pagoda. Their "dress code" is bullshit and figures I need to buy it at walmart. I don't have time to go anywhere in Erie when I get back.
I'm posting concert pictures very soon!!
