last night jesse savona died in a car crash. i heard about it around 11 oclock from dominica and billy. i just ran upstairs and started crying with my parents. its like i just saw him. i was just with him friday talking about how he is going to evergreen. now its like, why isnt he still. the article is on the internet because it didnt make it to the print in time for the newspapers Here is the article:
Union-Endicott High School junior was killed and two other people were injured in a two-vehicle, head-on crash Tuesday night on Day Hollow Road, Tioga County sheriff's deputies said.
Jesse M. Savona, 17, of North Duane St., was rushed to Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center, Johnson City, where he died several hours later, Lt. Rick Gorman said.
Savona's older brother, Sean E. Savona, 18, also a passenger in a car driven by Christopher R. Starchok, 18, of Wilma Street, Endicott, also was injured. Sean Savona was admitted to Wilson hospital. Gorman said Starchok was not injured.
The driver of the other vehicle, Lorraine Taylor, 43, of East Beecher Hill Road, Town of Owego, suffered a broken leg and was admitted to Wilson hospital, Gorman said.
The accident was reported at 5:52 p.m.
Gorman said Starchok was eastbound on Day Hollow Road just west of Batten Road, when he lost control of his car on the snowy road and veered sideways into the oncoming lane. Taylor's car struck the Starchok vehicle broadside on the passenger side, Gorman said.
Day Hollow Road was closed to traffic while deputies investigated the fatal crash Tuesday night. The crash remains under investigation.
--the part about him dying. i read it over and over and i can't believe it. he always seemed that he'd pull through, that he is a survior. it wasnt instant like my mom told me. he suffered. he shouldnt have had to suffer. i still see his face in my mind, im still thinking im gonna see him friday during study hall.
