L'arc~en~ciel- Kiss |

2nd day of Otakon. Day was pretty fucked up starting. First, was in line to get my thing stamped for L'arc Concert, and Ziyed leaves. :/ So I'm like, whatever... and then Stephanie comes, (w/ Frank) and like they stay for a second, then leave. So, I'm all alone with weird people. And it takes like 10 minutes for the people to come for the line. So when they finally do come, it takes like 2 seconds and I get my thing stickered. Yes! L'arc! Then, I walked around for a bit doing nothing, then decided to go to the Game Room where Ziyed was. He signed up for the DDR tourney, so I stayed there for a bit. Then, Stephanie and Frank came, and like, I decide I want to play DDR at the 1 TV where they weren't doing a contest. BIG MISTAKE. There was this annoying guy.... and he was soooooo fucking annoying. Like he was like "blah blah... I can pass every 10 footer except for The Legend of Max and Max(.). So, I'm like thinking why aren't you in the tournament then? And he was talking so much that he answered that for me. "Blah blah, I choked in the qualifyings so I didn't get to compete in the tourney." Then... he talks more "I like being video taped" ... and more "Blah blah... once I brought in my PS2 and pad into my karate class, and they taped me"... and moooore. And someone is going through the song list and happens to go on Crash for like a second, and the asshole goes, "Hey... no one play Crash... or we'll lynch you." And I'm like....... WTF (I think I said this out loud). Man, that guy was an asshole. Anyways, so stuff happens, and he goes up, and he like, failed one song (forget what it was) but then the asshole guy he's going with goes "Hey, Let's play Max" and so he's like "Ok." Soo... they go to Max 300, and the big mouth guy is like... bullshitting his way through the song, almost falling, and the guy without shoes is like semi-raping it. Then... the hard part towards the end comes up. Right before the (DUN DUN!...... DUN DUN! part..) and he completely fails out on that. And he like manages to get his bar back up, later on. So he goes "Oh, I know I passed" and someones like "No, I think you failed" so he looks back at his score, and it roulettes down to E and he's like "WHAT?! WHAT THE HELL?!" and I'm just laughing..
So me and Stephanie go up (after standing in an hour long line... well... only ME of course) and we play....... Jet World, Across The Nightmare, and finish it off with V. I raped that, got a new record thrice.
So moving along... Stephanie, Frank and I sit outside for a bit. Then we call Ziyed and tell him to come, and he's playing IIDX. We're going to eat. We manage to get up 3 flights before Ziyed goes "... fuck food, I'm playing IIDX". And so we're all like wtf... but no one really cares. We go and get food... well I do... Stephanie goes to the water fountain or some bullshit, and like I get my food, and walk outside thinking we'd eat out there. Turns out that I'm eating out there alone... as usual... it's fucked up, but doesn't bother me. So, whatever, they come out, say some bullshit, and walk back in. Whatever... I don't care... I stay out there for a bit more, before going to THE DEALERS ROOM! Damn... I loved that place... I watched L'arc videos (Drivers High and another I can't put my finger on at the moment... OHHHHH DIVE TO BLUE! I remember now) So then I buy Smile (x_x is what the title looks like). And I stay down there, find some Azumanga DVD's and don't buy them... I wanted to buy the second and the first but lack of money... besides I wasn't going to half ass DVD's... I do that too much already. So whatever... I leave and go back to video game room, and call Stephanie... she's still at the little cafe thing.... whatever... I go back... and I'm like... "It's already 3:23" and she's like "...shit" and Ziyed's there, he was eating. Then he goes to the dealers sqaure and we cross the street some blocks to look for a place to sit for the L'arc concert right? MAN THAT THING WENT AROUND 5 BLOCKS. L'arc would've been proud they had so many fans in America, but they really are an awesome band. But anyway, I go back and get in the back of the line and Stephanie calls and is like "Hey.. my bro's in the front of the line" SUCCESS! WOOO!! GOOD SEATS!!!! So I run up to her, and we go up near her brother, and at first he's all pissed, and he was talking to this scoliosis chicks, and we just kinda stand next to him. We hope he'll like... let us blend in or w/e. And he does! Wao! Stephanie's brother's fawesome! So we go in the Baltimore Convention Center, and like sit in like... the 10th row which you can see eeeeverything from there (We got awesome seats). So it takes a while for everyone to load in and random songs are playing (Pretty Fly for a While Guy, and Sk8r Boi) and then trailers for Full Metal Alchemist comes on, and like, as soon as the song READY STEADY GO! Comes on everyone starts singing. Nice... So finally, after about an hour the guy finally introduces them. First song they did was HEAVEN'S DRIVE! WOOO! Didn't know until towards the end (at least I think this was the first song, it was the first one I remember). I had that in my previous entry :D. Yayay! Man... they were so awesome.. I loved the pyros, and Hyde sounds the same Live as he does in a recording Studio which can not be said for most American Pop artists. They had awesome engrish too... Some to name a few.
"Hello" "Hello America!" "How are you doing?" "Do you eat croppes?" -What I first heard "Di you eat croppes?" -What I heard second "Did you eat crabs?" - What he really said "Croppes" "You know, crabs" Everyone: "Oh... crraaaaabs... -cheers!-" Hyde: "Me too!"
Tetsu: "Do you like my bananas?" (With a banana shirt, and bananas in his hand)
Ken: (With Dolphin Mask on) "Who am I?" Crowd: "Ken~~!" Ken: "No..." Ken: "Who am I?" Crowd: "KEEEEEEN~~~!" Ken: "Nah" Ken: "Dolphin" ^ That was funnily classic in my record.
Overall, I loved the concert, and the sung one of my favorite songs "Honey" so I was fulfilled... and the sung Heaven's Drive, along with others... man... that group... made my Otakon experience great.
L'Arc~en~ciel Live in America: Rating: 10/10- Amazing, not-to-be-missed.
