Not because I want to take the train. But because i am "wasting my money on a stupid concert that you've already been to before" right. well I happen to like these concerts and i havent seen all three bands together at one time. wait till i tell him that next friday is Brand New and in November is SoCo. the shit will fly then. oh god. i am scared. It sounds like a lot of money, but its not. the Good Charlotte show is 32.50 + service charge so like 40 bucks *of course those bastards are damn expensive b.c now they are on trl. :( * and brand new was 15 and so was soco. soooo really not so much money. 70,75 bucks. One Britney Spears ticket to sit row 2,000 would be 80 dollars sooo compared to 3 for about the same amount for GOOD bands that CAN sing and DONT dance and PLAY thier own instruments....its really a minor amount. and he doesnt see this. plus i have pit tix for GC/Mest/Goldfinger and i never had them before. well when they first started out i had "pit" but i never go there early enough to get close to the stage. today my dad bought me a cardigan. its nice and its Izaac Mizrahi (for target but I can pretend its not--hahah) and i almost didnt get it b.c it was made from rabbit fur. i asked my dad if they killed a rabbit to make my sweater and he told me no, they waited for it to die of old age which i then got a sad face and put it on the rack and my dad was like omg you are killing me, do you like the sweater and i said yes and he says then you should get it and not be worried if it was made by bunnies or not. that made me laugh, by bunnies hehe. and he bought me trouser socks haha for work. and he bought me boo berry and franken berry cereals. i love them... and then he went to (ooh benji and joel. on all things rock. i am still a sucker for that boy (benji) and his hotness..sigh) Chili's. I didnt ask him to pay for that meal. HE WANTED TO EAT THERE. we could have made tv dinners haha but no he wanted to go there. so he cant use that against me. any way i was wearing this really old GC sweatshirt. and in the car i was wondering where the hell i bought it. I seriously cant remember. but then i remembered when i went to Dorney Park they had a new rollercoaster and i put my arm on the railing and the paint was wet(!!!!!!) and got on my shirt. i was wearing the sweatshirt thats how that ties into this story. they had no wet paint sign up. losers. BUT I digress...the hostess was nutty and almost attacked me as i waswalking into chilis. She was like OMGILOVEYOURSWEATSHIRTILOVEGCIVESEENTHEM22TIMESISAWYOUBEFOREYOUGOTINTHEDOORANDTHATSWEATSHIRTWASAWESEOMEHEHE. i was like wow. neat 22 times thats crazy. and then she proceeded to put me, my cool sweatshirt and my dad in the smallest booth right in front of the kitchen door. thanks bitch im sure you like them sooo much and here you stick me in the shittiest booth in the whole chilis. bah. i got a salad with chicken on it. it was a fiesta salad but i thought it was going to be more like a toca salad with chicken but it wasnt. hmm i acted like it was really great (when it was mediocre, too much dressing) so my dad wouldnt get mad. he always wants me to send the thing back or asks me if i want a different thing and i say no and he doesnt give up until im like dad its okay and i shove the food down my throat to demonstrate how good it is. I smell beer. like as soon as nick lachey opened his beer in the limo on Newlyweds, i smelled the yesty ness of beer. random phone its for me. hahaha the all american rejects. i like them but they are funny. they always sing like oooh oooh in the background. and like na na na and all that. Most of you would be like why the hell is she worried about this! well see-- i smashed my car up like 2 years ago and havent had one since. too broke. so anyway this concert is in Philly and I have no way of getting there. I would have to take the train to my cousin's house and then go from there to philly. No problemo right? WRONG. My dad is all wierd about me taking the train to philadelphia. I think he thinks someone will attack me or someting. First of all. --i am 19. i think i can take care of myself pretty well. I was in college for a year. I've walked home drunk as shit up and down main street by myself. i've wandered the streets at 3 am. stoned. im cool with myself. i also took Kickboxing classes there and i have a pretty mean right hook. --i have been on the boston subway at 2 am and the NY subway at rush hour. i think i can deal with hamilton, NJ's train. --i have a cell phone, i can even call him to tell him i made it there. --I will be on it at close to 11 a.m. i doubt anyone will be attacking me that early in the morning. jeez. all i want to do is convince him that I can take this stupid train. its like an hour or something. i dont talk to strangers. an update on past mosh pits. [16 Oct 2003|02:13am] [ mood | sleepy ] [ music | something on fat joe...???? i dunno man. ] I'm watching something on mosh pits...and they are talking about how it should be okay for girls to go into a mosh pit and NOT get groped by men. haha...groped isnt the word...more like grabbed, squeezed, punched all in the boobs. Luckily I've never been groped... Funny story about mosh pits. My best friend was at 311 with me and it was all smushed and some guywent to put his hand in his pants and accidentally put his hand down the back of hers and he didnt realize at first and Katie turned around and was like excuse me? and he was like OMG!! I am soo sorry and he was all embarrassed and so he moves in a different direction. I was never groped by anyone but I remember when i saw Mest for the first time there was a band called the urge and i wasnt feeling this guy in a straight jacekt screaming lyrics at the time so i was just sitting there and chillin before Goldfinger...and these two frat boy assholes were like if you arent going to jump and stuff get the fuck out of here! Assholes. He kept pushing their crotches in out butts...it was nasty... One time I got really embarrassed at a Less Than Jake show during Warped one year, and it was a crazy mosh pit and i was getting my ass kicked and i have asthma so i was verging on hyper ventilation....so im trying to get out and i cant breathe and I dont think he was talking to me personally(i hope not) but the lead singer was like Dont be a wuss, its not that bad in here, theres been worse mosh pits and hen he was like i wanna see some circles and i just ran out....I was embarrassed. I really like telling these stories. Speaking of asthma attacks, i had one in the middle of hoobastank. I was in prime view of the stage for 311 and i just died. I was pulled to the ground and stepped on and there was this wonderful muscular man and he reached into the crowd and grabbed me and picked me up. I was like I love you and then i proceeded to the stairs and I sat down so i could stop hyper ventilating and this old staff lady came up and was like you are blocking the stairs. i was like you bitch but i couldnt even breathe so i just moved. all the way to the back. far far away from nick and tim and SA and P-Nut and Chad. :( Have you guys ever gone to a concert and you swear the singer is staring at you? and you lok around and other people either think that he is staring at you or them.....its such a wierd feeling. I was at a benji and joel concert for charity and Ben Lee was there, and i swear i was the only person there who even knew who he was....but he was all singing and i was probably the tallest around me, considereing im 19 and the average age there was ummm...13. BUT anyway, i digress...so Ben is singing and I swear to god i thought he was staring at me. It was wierd. and people around me were looking at me and like wondering who i was and i heard whispers and stuff. and then I met him and i got him to sign my cd that i bought and he hugged me. i was a big GEEK and asked for a hug. ah, i love concerts. they rule. It's somehting about seeing a band live that makes you love them even more. unless they suck. Like I LOVE LOVE LOVE Taking Back Sunday...but I saw them this year like a couple weeks after the band switcharoo and all that....and they played like 5 songs, 3 old and 2 new...and it was blah. I couldnt hear him, he sang bad, i think adam even forgot the words and sang the same thing twice...i was so excited and it was just dissapointing. Worst Live Band: G.Love and special sauce. bah. Best Live Band: 311, they are absolutley amazing. Sooo much energy and they rap and sing like they've always been on stage. they work so hard for their fans. god, i love them!! Runners Up:Something Corporate, Rancid, Dropkicks, and Brand New(they did an amazing acoustic set at Warped) ooh and today at work, my manager was like "Good Job tonight" I almost died. I thought I was the worst hostess ever in that place, but today, i just didnt worry. i was like bam you go there, bam you go there, bam you sit here. It was like almost second nature for me.... and Boston won!!!!!!! I am a yankees fan...and a Boston fan....I'm wierd. I'm not hardcore about it, so i am allowed to like both hehe.
