Hi kids. I'm Lindsey, 24, from Eastern Iowa, and I'm new to the community, though I've been lurking for a while. I thought with the new year here now was a good time to speak up.

hey everybody.
Hope you all had a good christmas.

Update from a few weeks ago:

after feeling really good about that week, it was Christmas.
And i didnt want to even try to eat healthy, it would just put stress on the holidays.
So once i start school up again I'll go back to my healthy ways.
The only thing is there is a good chance i gained back the weight i lost before the holidays, but that okay just so i get back on track.

Here is what i did/ what i plan on doing:

Healthy eating: an example of what i might eat

Breakfast: banana
snack: dry cereal [Life, or Smart Start]
Lunch: turkey or tuna sandwich, Lowfat yogurt [often i bring salad for lunch instead!]
snack: apple
dinner: whatever my mom makes. [If it's not that healthy, then i just watch my portions]

Exercise: morning workouts!
It worked really well for me, since by the end of the day i have no energy.
I would go on the treadmil for about 15 minutes [walking, jogging, and running] then do some ab workouts for less than 10 minutes. And that was it.
I really recommend working out some mornings. Even if you can only spare 10 minutes. It keeps you energized throughout the day, and starts your day out healthy, so throughout the day you want to continue making good choices.

try these, they are so good!
