Disappointed In Myself................. [17 Oct 2007|12:38am]
[ mood | disappointed ]

I am seriously in need of some control. I can't stop eating or start exercising.
I was so proud of myself for gaining less than 3 pounds on two weeks of vacation. One week back and I am betting I gained 5 or more.
What is wrong with me? I can't wrap my mind around a diet this year. With my medical problems, blood pressure and cholesterol, you would think that would be more than enough incentive. :(

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lemon [17 Oct 2007|10:43am]
Anyone drink warm/hot water with lemon in the morning? My French in-laws all swear by this to remove toxins & get rid of fat.

Recipe [17 Oct 2007|03:11pm]
All I seem to want is Mexican lately. Here's a recipe I found:

BEAN BURRITOS

1 can or equiv fresh pinto beans
1 can (or equiv amount of fresh) black beans
1 can garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
2+ cloves of garlic
Saltfree seasoning/spice (you could use one with salt if you're not a member of the sodium police like I am.)
Approx. a cup of roasted veggies (I used red, orange and green peppers, zucchini,
and yellow squash) Cayenne pepper if you like stuff really hot, I can't handle it!)

1. Combine all beans in sauce pan and cook for an hour or until soft.
(Add about a cup or more of water to cook beans).
2. Cut up roasted veggies, and add to beans. Use mixer and mix everything
together until it looks like refried beans. Add spices and simmer for 20
minutes or so. Serve with fixings in tortillas (whole wheat).

Suggested fixings: lettuce, tomato, low fat cheese, salsa.

Ole!
