So i hit a large bump in the road, but i'm getting back on track. My dad passed away last week so as you can imagine, weight loss was the last thing on my mind. I didn't weight myself on friday like i usually do because i was pretty sure i might of gained weight, so instead i'm just skipping a week and weighting myself next friday. My goal is to just be the same weight i was last time i weighed myself. [149]
As i type i'm eating my healthy Smart Start Antioxidants cereal, lol.

The topic of SPLENDA came up in my last post. I thought i would post this for everyone to read. I heard about how bad splenda was and wanted to look up some things.
Research in animals has shown that sucralose [which is what Splenda is] can cause many problems in rats, mice, and rabbits, such as:
Shrunken thymus glands (up to 40% shrinkage) Enlarged liver and kidneys. Atrophy of lymph follicles in the spleen and thymus Increased cecal weight Reduced growth rate Decreased red blood cell count Hyperplasia of the pelvis Extension of the pregnancy period Aborted pregnancy Decreased fetal body weights and placental weights Diarrhea According to one source (Sucralose Toxicity Information Center), concerning the significant reduction in size of the thymus gland, "the manufacturer claimed that the sucralose was unpleasant for the rodents to eat in large doses and that starvation caused the shruken thymus glands.
They dont have any long term research done because it hasnt been on the market long enough.
this site has a story of someone who was effected by it: http://www.foodanddiet.com/NewFiles/splenda-story185.html
Just thought i would share the information for all of you who think you're making a better choice by using Splenda. Hope i helped
