Hi everyone,

I'm sorry I've slipped back into lurkdom, but lately I am not feeling thin nor healthy.
I don't know if I mentioned to you guys that I'd been dealing with a migrane that went for 3 weeks straight, but I had a scan and it turns out I've got a severe sinus infection. I've been blowing my nose until the cows come home. Actually, the cows have come home and gone again, and I'm still blowing...
Anyhoo, the upside to all this (if there is one) is that I haven't gained AT ALL. Which is nothing short of a miracle, because I'm one of those freaks who constantly eats when they're sick (even when I can't taste anything)!
Just thought I'd post to let you all know where I'm at.
I'll be back with a happier update when I can focus on more than my breathing!

Weekend update (without Norm McDonald)

I'm trying to be really good during the beginning of the week because I'll probably end up down in the city this weekend and won't be able to workout.

Food was pretty good too. Yesterday I treated myself with decadent turkey burgers because I was jonesing for a good burger. It was super healthy too. Low fat, tons of veggies, low carb, and tons of flavor. I paired it with a mega salad and had an awesome diet. Eating healthy doesn't have to suck.
It had:
2 slices diet toast
Turkey burger
2 slices turkey bacon
Lettuce, Tomato, Carmelized onions, Sauteed mushrooms
Light mayo, Mustard

In the spirit of trying something new, this morning I tried kefir, which is a drink that's similar to yogurt, but with twice the live cultures. If you're into the idea of probiotics, it's something to try. They have soy varieties too! I mixed a half cup of plain kefir (7 g protein, 60 calories) with some vanilla soy milk, ice, and fresh raspberries, and it was awesome! I got the Lifeway plain kefir, which I believe is widely available. Check out www.lifeway.net.

Soooo... i'm still insanely busyyy, but i thought i'd give this a few minutes....

for i have been terrible at commenting and reading (and eating healthy... duhh)

soooo the daily schedule is
7am - wake up
8:15- be at school
8:30 to 1pm run around school like a maniac because my teachers are horrid monsters and yell at me if i'm late... and considering I have 5 minutes to go through 3 staircases down... then walk a BUNCH (in my 3" shoes... obviously)... then climb back up 3 floors... and be in class(repeat 3X day)... THAT is... INSANE... and i normally wouldn't bitch if I had ONEEEE teacher who was okay with times... but NO... people seem to want to make me go insane...
sooo 1pm - 1:30... go through traffic...
1:30 be home - cook and eat something healthy...
2:15 change clothes and look decent and apply 3 additional lbs of make up to my eyes (and still look like a coke-head after a 5-day-binge)
2:45 go to work..
3pm... be at work... (and try not to yell at stupid people)
7pm.. go home
7pm to 7:30pm... cook and eat healthy dinner
7:30pm to midnight (give or take)... do homework...
midnight ---> try to sleep in this horrid mushy weather while mom is trying to "save electricity and not turn on the a.c. (around 95°F AT NIGHTTT!)

anddddddd now I MUST have time tomorrow to find a good not-too-expensive gift for the boy's 25th birthday (wednesday)...

and prep for a big obligated meal on wednesday of course...

Seriously... i'm at a point where even my SUPER BITCHY intermediate economics teacher asks what the hell's wrong with me and recommends vitamins... and that worries me...

plus...
of course...
im fat...

SOOOO the whole huge unnecessary post was NOT to cry... i promise....

its because you girls (+Jon) are awesome and I need suggestions for the birthday thingy...

See... I have this idea:
+Buy this supppper awesome pants that I know the boy loves (problem: men's sizing is weird)
+Buy like 123891293721 UFC dvds (because I dont have to deal with soccer or football but I have to deal with half-naked men fighting... which im okay with)...
+Prep an awesome dinner for saturday (because the boy is also super busy mon-wednesday)


but then I think... That's a gift for a FRIEND... not a BOYFRIENd... am i right???

Oh and because I'd like to be helpfull too... I found this AWESOME for pmsy sugar-cravings and not TOO high-cal:

+Orange juice
+Chopped Strawberries
+Low-cal, low-fat, whatever yogurt
(+you could add mango but thats more calories... yet sooooo delicious)
