TAKING BACK THANKSGIVING [23 Nov 2006|11:38am]

Ok, I know we are all freaked out about a holiday that centers around a meal & food. Let us look at it another way:

That meal should be a healthy one. Let's make a plan to try & eat as many fruits & veggies as we can at that meal. If you aren't the hostess then bring a veggie dish or a dessert with fruit in it.

If you know you are going to eat that pie GO FOR A WALK NOW. Your metabolism will still be humming at dinnertime & you can eat it. WITHOUT guilt. I swear guilt makes you fat!

Focus more today on the people you are with than on yourself. Ask your cousin about her college classes & really LISTEN. Let Grandma go on about Thanksgiving when she was young.

I have lost family members since last Thanksgiving - you may have too. You never know what next year will hold. Just try to love them all today. Even when Aunt SAlly is raging on your hair color or your last choice in boyfriends.

And please make that list of things about yourself you are thankful for & leave physical stuff off of it. Can you paint? (I wish I could.) Are you a good listener? What makes you special - put it on paper. Be grateful for how unique & special & wonderful YOU REALLY ARE. List at least 20 things before you go to that dinner table. (I'll do it to! *sighs*) Read that list over many times today & thank God for all you've been given.

Take back THANKSGIVING.

I just found THE most awesome workout in a "Glamour" magazine that my sister bought this or last month... its in spanish, so it'll take me a while to translate... but I'll SO post it! Its divided into sections (like, 1.For people who already workout and/or diet but still need to lose 2.For people who have 101 excuses as to why they DONT workout aka. lazy 3.If you are already slim but need muscle... blablabla) You might be able to find it in the "Glamour" magazine in the US, but it might be 2-3 months ago... we always get behind LMAO...

Oh goodness... I swear I almost fainted... which only means it works... Ex-CI-TED!!!
I'm doing the "if you already workout and/or diet but you could still use to lose some chub"...
Week 1 consists of 2 sets of cardio (28 mins each plus warm-up and cooling, 5min each) Its like "normal speed" for 4 minutes, run like hell for 2, then normal speed 4 mins, and so on... ohh goodness... llooovely!
And then some toning moves too...
